tinkerfun, we are going to paradise beach by taxi, all I have read is great there, and quite reasonable price I might add. Our boys are 13 & 12 but do great with younger ones. PM me if you like.

We are planning on going to paradise beach too with DD8, DS2, and DN13. I can't wait - it started snowing in Wisconsin yesterday so we are really looking forward to some warm weather.

We are planning on having formal night in Palo and leaving the kids in Flounders & OC. I wanted DS2 to wear a tie for semi-formal night but the only tie I found was black and I can't find pants to match. I guess I'll be forced to hit the mall this weekend!

Does anyone know if you can book a spa appointment for just a hairdo? I didn't see it available, maybe it's something you can do after you are on the ship?

That would be great if we could all go at the same time to Paradise Beach. We could share on Taxis and also look out for each other on the beach. That will allow the kids do the beach stuff together and not feel like we are spread out too thin. I looked at the Paradise Beach website, it looks like it's a lot of fun. It's $8 per person and has floaty things to play on and showers and changing rooms. They also offer additional items to do or rent for more $. www.paradisecozumel.com

I keep looking at the clock and thinking...next week at this time I will be sitting by the Mickey Pool with a frosty drink in my hand watching the kids play, or next week at this time we will be at the sail away party, or next week at this time we will be sitting at dinner meeting our servers, or next week at this time ................ I could go on and on.
We are also looking forward to watching the DETROIT TIGERS win the world series on board next week!!!!!!!!! Now I have to research the sports bar for my DH.
Anyone check the weather and hurricane forecasts?

Does everyone who is going to MNSSHP on the 20th already have their tickets? I hope so because we just called to try to get some for my mom and they said that they are sold out already!!!

They are sold out for the 20th? Shoot, we just changed our flight to an earlier flight so we could make it to MNSSHP in time. I guess that changes our plans a little. I was going to get my tickets online tonite. Oh well.....we can head to Downtown Disney I guess!

We keep hoping that it is just a technical glitch. We've tried to get them both online and by calling the ticket office. Both say they are sold out. There is even a travel agent on the DIS looking for us because she said that they never sell them out early like this. I keep hoping for a little pixie dust that there is just something in the system wrong today making it look like they are sold out.

I am an agent. I just tried to go in through the agent portal. It is sold out there as well. Of course the 31st is also sold out.

We are so looking forward to Saturday. The girls and I spent yesterday afternoon working on our door signs and making piles of stuff to somehow fit into our suitcases! We are in room #7001 with my sister and family, parents, and FIL in three other rooms close by. Within the last few weeks, 2 of my sister's 3 children have been diagnosed with celiac disease. They need to be on a gluten-free diet, which is easier said than done! Not surprisingly, Disney has been great about these new dietary restrictions for them. It sounds like it will be easier to meet their needs on the ship than at home. Maybe their health insurance would pick up the cost of the cruise as a medical expense? Between that and crazy work stuff for DH, we are all needing a little Disney magic. Saw the discussion thread about ordering water from Staples to be delivered to the warehouse. When you sign up for their rewards program you get free shipping for online orders. For $5.99 I ordered a case of 24 bottles of water to be delivered to the warehouse and then our stateroom. Sounds too easy and too cheap to actually work, but it's worth a try! We are scheduled to land on Sat. at 10:45. If all goes smoothly we will look forward to meeting all of you at the DIS meet. Thankfully, we just found tickets on Craigslist! They were actually selling them for below face value. My mom bought 2 and the lady has 2 left if anyone still needs them.
