October 21-24 . . .

Is the weekend of 10/21 to 10/24 typically a busy time of year at Disney? We are trying to take a quick getaway weekend and were suprised today to find NOTHING available in a deluxe or moderate except Port Orleans Riverside.

We were hoping to avoid crowds, but would like to getaway for a bit. I have never stayed at POR. Any input on this resort?

we are going the 20-27th. there is the funai golf classic that week. ive never been this time period before, but i was told that the golf event dosent affect park crowds too much, but the deluxe resorts will probably be busier. Maybe thats what your experiencing.

We'll be at the Poly Oct 22-29. We have a package (5+2) booked for Oct 23-29 and a room-only reservation for Oct 22. I have not been able to get a discount for Oct 22 (even though some were released).

I think the Funai Golf Classic ..... MNSSHP ..... F&W Festival are the reasons your having a hard time finding availability.
