Been pretty quiet here lately, we were at the top of page 3! :bored:

Another week of work, then I get to take a week off! It's sort of forced as my kids daycare closes for a week, but hey, I'll take it! DH is going to take a few days off too, so we're planning a trip to the Baltimore Aquarium. Haven't been there in ages. Since before my oldest was born, that's for sure! Can't wait to see the frogs exhibit, especially the blue dart poison frogs!

Is guavaberry alcoholic? Curious to try it, but we're tea totalers! Don't worry, we're not snobby or anything, just a personal choice!

3 more weeks and my oldest DH starts preschool! I don't know who's more excited, her or her mommy!

Good evening everyone!

Poohbush,

Oldest DH?! How many DH's do you have? Are you sure you live in MD and not UT? :rotfl: (I'm just joking about the UT line, so don't flame me if anyone is from UT)

Also, what are you doing married to a 4 or 5 year old? :rotfl2:

I know what you really meant, but I couldn't resist. :)

:lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2:

I was thinking the same thing! That's ok Pooh, we won't talk about you :teeth:

So where do you guys think the other Oct 20th cruisers are? This ship can't have only the handful of us on board. I did a search for Oct 20th to see if maybe another thread was started but I didn't see anyone but us. It'll be a cozy group anyway. :grouphug:

Anyone know where I can get a DCL screensaver?

Nancy :wave2:

The guaveberry I had in St. Martin sure was alcoholic. I had a smoothie at 11:00 am at a stand right outside the ship. A tad bit early for booze. I have to admit that I felt it a little. Then again, maybe it was the fact that I guzzled it down in less than 5 minutes...Hmmmmm, you think???? :confused3

OMG! Well, that's a very interesting typo! You all made me laugh out loud! Thanks! I really needed a good laugh today! You guys are the best!

Brenda,

I sure hope everything goes well for you!! You will be in our thoughts and prayers :grouphug:

Nancy,

You can get 2 different kinds of screen savers on the DCL website. I believe you have to log in first and then go to downloads.

I am in the middle of digitally scrapping our last Disney Cruise so I have been busy with that. A little over half way done now :teeth:

I am sure we will get tons more DISers joining our thread in 3-6 months time. A lot of them tend to join in later than us die-hards :rolleyes1 We still have 437 more days till the cruise. :sad2:

Thanks Cass...I found a good one on Dave's site. :thumbsup2

Hi All-

This is my first post to these boards although I've been browsing for about 6 months. I'm so excited! My husband and I have been considering a Disney cruise from quite some time and I think we will be cruising with you all. We really want the Oct. 20th cruise but we can't book just yet as we have to get it cleared with my husband's work. This will be our first Disney cruise. I've been pricing Disney vs. some others but we decided we'd rather pay for the experience of Disney than pay less on another. We have a son who's almost 7 and a 4 year old daughter. They both love all things Disney, especially my daughter! I'm looking forward to getting to know you all!

Welcome Abby and Family!! How priviledged are we to partake in your very first post?? Glad you joined us. Be sure to visit Timon's (Cass and Rob's) site. http://www.cassworld.ca/dcl2007-home.htm

You'll just love it! She is quite talented.

Hope to hear from you soon.

If it's the one I think you're speaking of, I think it's actually a continuation of an old cruise thread. I can't imagine it's a brand new one!

PrincessMom2002 - I too have a DD (not DH as I mistakenly typed earlier!) born in 2002. If you go, our girls will be 5 together on the cruise. How fun! My younger DD will be 3. Sorry, no boys here! Hope you can join us. I agree with you. We know we can cruise for less on other lines, but the whole Disney experience is just incredible. We just soak it all in. DH was just saying the other day how he can't wait to walk back on board. It's a very comforting feeling! (This will be our 4th Disney cruise!)

:joker:

Hi princessmom2002

We are coming on this cruise and our Daughter Elouise will be 5 by then. :thumbsup2 Guessing your DD wil be too. That will be fun for them. :sunny:

We havent cruised yet, first one this Oct for 4 nights.

Welcome :welcome:

Nancy,
these people are obviously freaks. :teeth:

While I'm around I just wanted to thank you all for your kind words - it's really helped me feel better. :grouphug: I've got four more weeks before I go in, so at least I'll get to have some fun over Labor Day weekend. Quick, can someone tell me where to find the recipe for Conk Coolers??? :teeth:

Hello to the potential new cruisers! I hope you can stay with us, otherwise we will be a very exclusive little group come next October.

I have an idea that may be very bad...I trust you guys will let me know one way or the other. It sounds like there may be a few of us who are fans of the Hard Rock Cafe, and I was wondering what you guys thought of exchanging HRC City pins once we meet up on the ship (we are going to have a DISmeet, right? ;) ). For instance, Jason and I would bring an HRC St. Louis pin, preferably one with the arch included, for each person who wanted to exchange. That person would do the same with HRC pins from their city, and so on and so forth. The pins usually run about $5-$8 each, so I realize this could get expensive depending on the number of people who opt in, but I thought it might be fun (and a little less cumbersome than the tag game we played last year on the Molar Express). And if it's a bad idea for the group, Jason and I are willing to repay those of you in exotic locales for pins from your area to help grow our collection.

Gotta get to work - hope everyone is doing well and has a good day. Thanks again for your good thoughts. :goodvibes

O.K. Let's look at this. With this post, we are at 255 posts. As of today, there are approx 435 days until the boat sails.

That's about 115 posts a day.

We can do it!!!! :cheer2:

Im up for helping beat them !!! :sunny:

Brenda, we dont collect pins, however if you would like any Hard Rock pins from London, please let me know. I would be delighted to help you. Friends are going to Monbassa, Kenya, there is a HR there too. would you like one of their pins. They dont go till april till 07,so no need to rush replying.

Take care everyone......... :grouphug: Linda X

PrincessMom2002,

Welcome aboard! Non-officially of course ;) Let us know when you know for sure if you will be joining us!

Brenda,

Unfortunately there are but a handful of HRC's left in Canada :sad2:

They closed all the ones close to us, Calgary, Banff, Edmonton, Vancouver. We don't collect pins but we collect t-shirts, thankfully we bought our shirts before they all closed! They only have a few left down east in Toronto, Montreal, Niagara Falls and Ottawa. So, I would love to add to your collection of pins but I don't plan on going east anytime soon...sorry.

Have you ever been to the HRC Outlet store in Orlando?? I was there in October, I thought it was going to have Orlando merchandise but they ended up having merchandise from all over the world! I honestly can't remember if they sold pins but I don't collect pins so I wouldn't have been looking for them but I am sure they have them. The outlet is across the street from the newish Walmart on SR535.

Here's the website:

Make sure you print coupons if you go!

I count 11 DISers for our cruise so far, so that works out to just over 10 a day from each person, everyday. If you miss a day, you will need to post 10 times explaining why you missed posting yesterday. :rotfl2:
