October 20th 2007 Western Magic Part 9

Ok, so I talked to Rob on the phone tonight....Out of the blue, he says, "It'll sure be hard to wait 4 years to cruise again. In fact, it'll be hard to wait until 2009." I said it'll be easy since we don't have the money to cruise until then. But he is the "money guy" in the family, so.......

I think he wants in on KK2!!

But I am torn. I really don't want to pull my kids out of school.....He says that's 2 years away, we'll never remember it as being hard to get back to the school routine. Long story short, by the end of this long converstion, we were thinking of having his parents come and stay with the kids and we would cruise alone. We would call it our 20th anniversary-1 year early.

It's funny how missing your family (he'll be home in the next couple of weeks) and missing your wedding anniversary (17 years tomorrow for us) makes you lose all common sense.....:rotfl:

:woohoo: He's the "money guy"? We'll remember that when we're partying at Rockin Bar D. :rotfl2:

I'm hearing more & more of these "leave the kids behind" plans. Good for you guys. :thumbsup2 Every couple needs some alone time.

Maybe we'll get all of the guys to do a little bra dance. :woohoo:

Congrat's on your anniversary tomorrow. Sean and I have a pact that we do at least one vacation with just us everyother year, this started on our 10th anniversary to WDW. We haven't been able to do that in the last few years, but to make it up we will be going on the PC cruise next year(for our 20th), and for now are planning on going by ourselves for KK2 as well.

Robin, did y'all feel guilty the first time y'all did a Disney vacation without your kids? Becky, how about y'all?

Not at all!! We even left our dd in Clearwater with Mike's parents.

She was about 13 at the time. My son was 23 and stayed home in Ohio.

We all deserve some time to ourselves. :goodvibes

I guess if I was just going to WDW, I would... but not a Disney Cruise.

My first DCL cruise was on the 3 day Wonder with my best friend. I didn't feel guilty about not taking the kids, but I did call Sean crying when I got on the boat because he wasn't there.:)

I don't know if it was because Sean and I became parents early (20 and 19) and missed out on having our own time to ourselves when we were first married. We really look forward to taking that time to ourselves, and the kids are spoiled rotten by the grandparents while we are gone.

Thanks, Tart girl. Well, I guess we have decisions to make. Going alone sounds great--y'all looked so relaxed on the cruise. I would like to experience it that way.:goodvibes

I think I'll hit the bed now. Big day tomorrow...Emily has the State Cross Country meet!:goodvibes

'night all.....:cutie:

AAAWWW... that's sweet. Mike & I are like that. We can't stand being separated.

WE "Cajuns" can catch up on growing in LA and leaving for better pastures....:lmao:

I even may do a "cajun two step with you", if "money bags" will allow that:rotfl:

The Cruise Roster keeps looking better and better. It's becomming a "can't miss!"

Does everyone want to see the partying at Rockin Bar D?

Some of the pics are blurry. It wasn't because I was drunk when I took the pics... people were moving too much. :rotfl2:

There is more than one page.
