Good morning/afternoon everyone  1 week from now at this time we'll be in the air on our way to Orlando   :woohoo: :woohoo:

And we'll be right there with you Cheryl!
(Rachel...don't forget! Your first Starbucks beverage is on me!)

You were supposed to laugh at my posts, Nancy, not cry ...wondering now if they were so badly written that they made your cry rather than giggle...I must need more coffee.

Nancy dear - your wishes are in the mail and hopefully will make you smile.

Brenda, don't you know by now that anything that involves you makes me smile?? (Cr@p, now I'm getting all misty-eyed again)!:sad2:

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Nancy that sounds like something I would do/ have done

So in honor of my last "work" day (because God only knows they won't be getting anything out of me on Monday and Tuesday) my boss decided to grill out for lunch today.

We're all bringing something. My job was to bring Lemonade, pickles and some type of pasta salad. Being the conscientous employee I am, I decided to stop at the grocery store, instead of making my own salad, to pick up something from the deli.

The refrigerator cases were revamped last night so there was no deli.

I walked around the store thinking of something else I could buy instead and then started thinking about this cruise and lost my frame of mind. I left with my purchases and once I got to work I realized I forgot the salad item.

So guess what we're having instead?

Marshmallows!! That's right! Lemonade, pickles and marshmallows! :lmao:
(Don't ask :confused3 )

Is the DIS running really slow again today or is it our dinosaur server here at work?:confused3

When you get up in the morning you should actually be able to see the Magic from the Radisson. We stayed there the night before one of our cruises and it was exciting to wake up in the morning and see the Magic in the distance right from the hotel!
Or you could do like Heather suggested and get up very early and watch it come into port, I am very temted to do this myself

dilemma for us....
every cruise we have enjoyed the drive over the bridge the morning on cruise day, and seeing that ship for the first time. what a rush!!!
this year we are staying at the port for the first time and wont get to ride over that bridge cruise morning.:sad2:
maybe robin and i will get up at 6 am and take the car for a little sightseeing tour before we return it to budget.:thumbsup2

If you get up early enough, would could watch it come into dock!

Very SLOW Nancy. I'm going to fall asleed while waiting for a post to go through :rotfl: I didn't get much sleep last night, had a busy night on-call at the hospital but it was my last night of call before the cruise :woohoo:

Is the DIS running really slow again today or is it our dinosaur server here at work?:confused3

Have an Awesome time Chris and Karen. I'll be seeing the both you you in a week. Have a safe flight.

Dear Man of a Million Names ... AKA snugglebunny, Mr. Mysterious, Elusive Pimpernel, Uncle Moneybags, Velvet Hammer, and the Ice Cream Man,

Best wishes to you and your family for a safe flight tomorrow and a lovely three-week hiatus from Limey-land...I joke because I can ... I've got nothing but love for England, really.

You are too kind, but I'm pleased that you enjoyed reading through my ridiculous drivel. If I made you smile then I am happy ... although Jay would probably say that I should start charging a fee.

**Get your mind out of the gutter! I was talking about reading material! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

It's been a tremendous pleasure passing the time with you and all the others on the KK thread. I'm looking forward to meeting you on the 17th and shattering the last of any illusions you may have about me and my Adonis. ;)

Until next week, I remain, your one-legged bewb-flashing-for-freebies-cyberbird.

:flower3:

Brenda i was going ask if you had change for a $10...:rolleyes1 Your swearing at me again ain't you?....:lmao: :lmao:

Thanks for the well wishers everyone...just hope we don't get a young Muslim with tourettes trying to board our plane....:rolleyes1

ps...Karen what happened so bad at the hair dressers?...

We're staying at the port the night before too. We haven't decided what we're doing for dinner that night but if you guys plan something maybe we could join you. I'll mention this to Lurking Lynn and her DH Chris when we talk to them Sun. evening.

Robin, if you're still here........maybe we should get a little more serious about checking out a place for dinner on the 19th. Who's with us?

We'll be in Cocoa Beach. If the kids are busy elsewhere maybe we'll join you all.

I know we'll be going out somewhere for dinner.

Not sure if Suz is going to want to trek to Downtown Disney that night or not. That's 2 hours of driving.

There is a lot of us staying out at port that night. I think no more than 2 at any establishment though.

Where is a good place to eat out there?

Don't be filling up too much on the grill fare at lunch today. Don't you have some awesome pizza to eat tonight? :confused3

We ate at Dixie Crossroads in June after spending the day at Kennedy Space Center. It wasn't too far from Kennedy which isn't too far from the port. We took a round about way to get there because our friends needed to stop and pick up the key for the condo they were going to be staying at in Titusville the following week. The food was very good and the portions were large :thumbsup2 After dinner we headed to the interstate to get back to Orlando and I don't think it was too far.

I have read alot of good things on the regular cruise board about Grills which is right along the channel that the Magic sails down when we leave the port. There are always people waving at the Magic from Grills when we sail by. Here is their website. This a place I was thinking of maybe trying
http://www.visitgrills.com/

Shirley from the Perfect Gift has this thread going and has a few restaurants listed in it too http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1520273

Just a suggestion... one of my teachers grew up in FL. and he said that Dixie Crossroads in Titusville is very good.

They have a web site as well.

Hello everyone...

Just wanted to stop by and say hello... Can you believe I am having to work this week and next before the trip? Geeez....

Well we are so excited now that the waking up during the night thing has begun. Last night Mary woke up like 3 times and I heard Tyler up at 1am.. Trevor was up before the alarm and I laid awake waiting for it to go off. We are in heavy packing mode... and with yet another weekend for them to go to their dad's we are doing much of it during the beginning of next week.

So I hope you are all well and over colds etc... See you soon"!

And we'll be right there with you Cheryl!
(Rachel...don't forget! Your first Starbucks beverage is on me!)

Yes, make sure if she is sitting in front of you on the plane you dump it on her. :rotfl2:

Hey Nancy, what do I get? :confused3

Is the DIS running really slow again today or is it our dinosaur server here at work?:confused3

No, it's the DIS. Just took over 30 seconds to get the box up to type the post. It will take about that to actually post it as well.

ETA: Make that 2:35 for it to post and then another 40 seconds just to bring up the stupid edit page here.

Safe travels to you and your family Karen! Have a great week and we'll see you next Sat.

Cant wait:yay:

Have an Awesome time Chris and Karen. I'll be seeing the both you you in a week. Have a safe flight.

Thank you! - same to you too.

ps...Karen what happened so bad at the hair dressers?...

Oh Chris dont even ask:scared1: - nearly had a MAJOR DISASTER:scared1:

I kid you not - I nearly ended up bright red:scared1: - I've been going to the same hairdresser for years and I wont trust anyone else to do the colour.
Well, she mixed the 3 colours and started applying the main colour - brown - my natural colour (to hide the grey) - she got about half way over my head when she said " I dont know why but its going red":scared1: - holy sh*t! - she quickly washed it off and opened another tube of dye. I was sooooooo freaking out in that chair. I had images of me in ridiculous hats all bl**dy holiday. Luckily the brown went on fine and its ok now (except for the blowdry:rolleyes1 - why do hairdressers always insist on giving you "big hair"? If you look on Cass's site I had "big hair" on that photo cos of having that stupid bl**dy tiara in for my friends wedding, but I am NOT a bridesmaid today but still got the same blowdrt:rolleyes:

Oh well, it will "flatten" on my pillow tonight I hope:rotfl:

How many hours to go Chris?

Luckily we're on the beach near the channel, so if I get up around 4:30-5:00 I may be able to see it come in. That would be kinda cool. Sure, now I'll be setting the alarm clock to go do this. Thanks.
