I have never cruised with my kids before but I have read that they prefer gifts. Not required but they like things like fruit baskets, phone cards stuff like that.
The only reason I knew all that is because I got involved with a server on my Hawaii trip and I was looking at working on a cruise ship so he told me all the pros and cons. I even got to see crew quarters.
Good morning....anyone here?
Don't get me wrong. I am proud of what I do when it all pays off. And I am proud of what I do when I see appreciation for it say from all of you, or DH. It is the kids that really make me feel like I waste my time. I know I should not let them get to me because they are just kids. But hey you know things but sometimes it still gets to me. I am just glad that I have the support of all of you. I am not used to have much support except for my parents and DH. My parents had a real funny way of showing support before my mom got ill, since then there has really been no support from them. I am so used to doing everything for myself that I really don't wait around for others to help me. Then when they do help I get mad at them.
I feel the same way about the APL early rotation...when I requested I didnt realize that we woudl have a 530 dinner each night. that is pretty early. I am afraid that the kids will be having too much fun and will not want to get dressed for dinner.
Hi, Lynn.
Looks like we'll have to notify Dorothy because our numbers for the wine tasting have changed....

That is a reference to a bit of Disneyland History. It used to be that you paid for entrance into the park then you would buy ticket books that gave you passes onto the rides. The books were populated with 5 different tickets lettered from A to E. The A tickets were many and would let you onto things like the Bus that runs down mainstreet. Then there were B,C, and D tickets that allowed you on progressively more popular rides. But in every Ticket book there were only one or two E-tickets. The E-tickets were the ones you bought the book for. Space Mountain, Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean, etc. The Ticket books have passed into history but the term E-ticket Ride has become a part of American lexicon. It refers to the coolest, scariest or fastest rides around. That, or a drive through the mountains with my mom driving.
It did actually- it turned inot a lovely day- a friend and I took the kids to the open day at the local fire station...bouncy castles, bbq, funfair, fire displays, marching bands, all sorts of stuff (and of course lots of dishy fire fighters for us to drool over
)..It tunred into a really fun day.
Not so much easier. I drive everyone in my home nuts. Then when I drop the ball with something I really get down on myself for it. I can guarantee that I will forget something this trip and it will really get to me. I will be all upset with myself and get depressed. Not fun at all.

Hi everyone! I thought I'd put in our info, too, even though we won't be fortunate enough to be cruising with all of you. If you happen to see Jason or me wandering around (especially Epcot) with silly, tipsy smiles on our faces please stop and say hello. We're harmless and I'm half-blind so I might actually look right though you unless you "get up in my face."![]()
This is probably my last post here - lots to do in the next two weeks before we leave and there's a lot going on outside of the house lately, too. It's been a pleasure being a part of this group since waaaaay back in June 2006 and I'm sorrier than you know at not being to able to meet so many of you and drink some others of you under the table (you know who you are!). You have our best and warmest wishes for a fabulous cruise - we look forward to seeing pictures and reading all about it once you're all back home.

It was a super workshop. They spent the morning with the history of the drum and the importance and rituals that the drums brought to the tribes. Then they made the drum stick and it is all a chosen process...finding the right skins, sticks, etc that "feels" right for you.
Then they had a drumming circle so they could feel what the drums are meant to bring to you and hear and learn how to play them. Then they were saged to clear any negativity etc. Mother Earth was thanked for the skins and the wood and the tools she provided.
Then they had lunch... a shared pot luck type to bring everyone together.
Then I got there. hahaha Missed lunch. That is ok.. most of them are vegatarian and some of that tofu or veggie crumble stuff is not my favorite.
So then we began making the drums. Oh my hands hurts so bad. You have to pull the wet rawhide so tight and then tie knots. You use plyers to help and someone has to hold it flat. You tie 32 knots on each drum then you wrap the handles as well. Neither of the boys could manuever the ties and Mary was not strong enough to pull and tie. So my hands are a bit swollen right now as I tied all 3 drums.
But the experience was amazing really. Now we wait for a week or so for them to dry completely then we will join the same group for a drum circle.
Wow... that doesn't seem like very much... is that daily? Help me someone...
Hahahaaha That is too funny!
My youngest would have just scraped them off on the table onto a napkin and then used another to DRY the plate off and get all taste of those green beans off his plate.
GREAT PICS HEATHER. WHERES THE GRUMPY ONES HAT ?

What is the going rate to tip a porter. Is it $1.00 a bag, or $2.00a bag.
