Hi Susan. I was wondering what happened to you lately. Glad to see you're back. I'm not packed yet but I do have the Junk Suitcase done already.

Glad the party was a success.:thumbsup2

.

It was great! Makes you truly feel your age though. And then yesterday out of the blue he says to me, "Do you think Grandma would have been proud of who I have become?" And instantly I cried. You know, it has been six years and sometimes out of the blue it feels like yesterday.

Do you guys have as much trouble getting things done as I do? :confused3

I got on here to get some things done for dis tags and here I am back on the boards. :lmao:

This place is a mess. ;)

Oh i agree...this whole life thing keeps getting in my way of Dis'ing and packing and cruise planning.

One more quick post before we leave.

I just got off the phone with my Godsons mom and guess what? He opened his eyes wide this morning!! It's still very clear that he still in the coma but this bit of news is giving us hope now. He hasn't followed anyone around the room or even followed a finger in front of him, but we are hopeful.

The doctors are quick to shoot us down with their thoughts but we just need a little something to hang onto.

The surgery to repair the hole in his right lung was successful but they have not let him breathe on his own since. They will let him try today for a couple hours and see how things go.

Please keep praying for Spencer, I know you will.

Talk to you after the meet everyone. Someone will be posting pictures I'm sure. I just hope no one catches me with a mouthful of pizza.:goodvibes

Thoughts and prayers and healing sent his way.... that is great news though.

I don't see a problem with wearing something 2 times. I am having the kids and Scott wear most of their dinner pants 2 times.

If you have late dining do you think you need to take evening clothes on with you as a carry on. We are not flying... and on the first night isn't it casual? Help please.

Susan - It's only early diners that need to worry, some cases in the past have not arrived at staterooms in time to let you change for dinner. Yes, first night is casual, but they frown on shorts. Early diners tend to take their 1st evenings clothes on as hand luggage so they don't have to worry.

We're early dining, but don't know whether I'll bother to take clothes in my carry-on luggage. Think we'll take a chance.

Hi Jen

Goodnight Jen

Rachel had fun with Thomas. He is very cute

Cheryl,

I'm so glad that Rachel took Thomas to play for a while, so Pete got a chance to meet everyone too, instead of chasing Thomas the whole day! Thomas had a lot of fun too....
(And yes, he is cute:) )

Rachel, thanks for hanging out with Thomas...he had a lot of fun!

Can't wait to see everyone on the cruise!

Here you go Cass. Ask and you shall receive.

Oh ok. that makes sense. I was thinking that I was going to have to check my nephews bags/even carry on if that were the case. For college kids, they don't HEAR sometimes. LOL

Oh well, it's time for me to get to bed. Early day tomorrow. Emily has an MRI scheduled. She found a lump on the back of her head a few weeks ago and we finally have an appt for an MRI. I really think this is nothing to worry about--swollen gland or something but I am so thankful to get an MRI because she had an episode back in Monterey that resembled a slight seizure (the neurologist thought we were crazy I think--long story) and no tests were ordered. Anyway, keep her in your thoughts please folks. Good night.:goodvibes

Oh my...absolutely!! Will you get the results today?

 The full letter to the AAA department fit in their predesigned form. That letter is off and waiting for a responce.

I hope you get good results. You should never have had to resort to this, so don't feel badly about doing it. If they had taken care of you in the first place, you wouldn't be in this predictament.

So get this. I just got a responce from AAA National travel department. She is stating that she is forwarding my email to the head of travel of Arizona and that she will be doing some research and be in contact with me.

I got this 10 minutes after I sent the letter, at 7:30 on a Sunday night. Hmmm.

Wow.... impressive.

Wow....finally got caught up from Friday afternoon - busy weekend on the boards!

Nancy, I didn't read about your godson until this morning...keeping good thoughts that everything will be ok.

Jeff - I loved your 31K post!

To all thw WI-KKers who've been giving me a bad time about the Bears ;)
they lost last night to the Cowboys :sad1: Although, I was cheering just as hard for the Packers as everyone else Sunday afternoon!

Ok, now I have to go do some pesky work...

Carrie,
If you need any help with your Disneyland trip I'll be more than happy to add to Steve's advice. We go every other year and used to stay at the hotels off site, but now that we are DVC members we can stay onsite. Don't be afraid to compare prices doing things separately vs package, unlike WDW the DL packages can be more expensive unless they are having some sort of special.
Becky

Thank you so much for the offer. I might take you up on that. We really would like to make it all special because it would be just my DH, myself and our daughter. So that is why we wanted to stay on site. But now we realized that she does not care where we stay, we could stay in a card board box and as long as we are together and having fun she does not care.

We are thinking of spending 5 days at DL and CA. We have not been since CA was being built. I figure with 5 days we can really take our time doing the parks.

I am looking into the good neighbor hotels that are within walking distance or have a shuttle. Do you have any suggestions on a decent one.

I grew up with motel 6 so I am fine with anything as long is there are not bugs, but Dh has a little higher standard then me.

One more post before I go work...

Who took the pic of Thomas and Zachary at the meet? I need to PM you my email address...but since I have not had any coffee yet this morning I can't remember who took the picture (and I'm so mad at myself for forgetting my camera....)

Remember sweetie you are paying a lot for a service, they aren't paying you to go on this cruise (wouldn't that be wonderful). Stick to your guns and don't back down, and just from reading your posts you will do it to the point and with grace. My husband likes to call it verbal judo.
Of course I am also like you and hate to step on toes, and like you I would have had a lot of reservations of pushing a point. I just think it is great that you have your Dis friends to help you get through it.

If it was not for the friends on here I probably would not have sent those letter. I would have just sat at home p***ed and yelling at my DH for it like it is his fault. (poor guy has had nothing to do with the planning of this trip) I think it bothers me alot because of how much this trip is costing compaired to others I have taken and the type of service we are getting.

Ohhh...denied the FO....

I'll forgive you, Carrie, if only you tell me your secret for being able to get so much stuff done!I need some of your energy!

Actually, I'm hoping to get some organizing done in our house...DH has approved turning our guest bedroom (which we have not had guests in 1 1/2 years) into a scrapbooking room  but I need to get rid of a bunch of stuff first! On the agenda for this week is sorting baby/toddler clothes and deciding which ones are nice enough to consign...

We would love to go all out and decorate for the holidays, but unfortunately we have a few sticky fingered people in this neighborhood. I did make a huge Mickey head wreath that I hung over the garage door one year, but now am to afraid to do that. I now display it in my house, has lights on it and everything, I was so proud when I finished it. We really love to go to the different neighborhoods and see the houses all lit up.

The girls and I drive around looking also. DH works nights so it is hard for him to go with us.
