Ok so here is what we did on Sunday. The normal drive home is about 3 hours. We can take the I17 from the cabin into Pheonix, then the Loop 101 through Scottsdale to the loop 202 through Mesa, and then up Power to Baseline and then Baseline to home. Pretty simple and boring drive. So we decided to take the sceanic (sp) route home. We to the I17 up to the Flagstaff fair grounds. Then we took 89A which took us through Sedona, Jerome, Presscott, Presscott Valley. Then we cut over to the I17 and followed our normal pattern home. We got on the road at about 9:30 in the morning and did not get home until 9:00 that night.

We have been to Sedona before but not Jerome. And Scott's ex used to live in Presscott so we are used to that one.

So as soon as we got onto 89A we saw a vender on the side of the road selling Elk Jerkey. We love it but can never find it anywhere. So of course we pulled off the road. The guy was also selling these.

No I did not buy them but I could not pass up the photo op.

Right after we got back on the road we passed a llama farm so we turned around to see them up close. Mac has never seen one.

This is the baby of the bunch

Back on the road again. This was a look out before entering Sedona. This is overlooking Sedona.

Where did everyone go?

Did you all run away because of my pictures. Please come back I have 19 more to post. :guilty:

I guess I will get my cereal and post in a few.

This is where we ate lunch at in Sedona. We decided to try one of those hole in the wall places that tourist go to. There were 5 different ones on the main road. After looking at menus we left them all except the last one. I could not believe that kids meals were $9.00. I am to cheap for that. So we ate here. Still high priced for what I would like but the food was great. I got an avacado chicken salad. I could not finish it all.
