One more quick post before we leave.

I just got off the phone with my Godsons mom and guess what? He opened his eyes wide this morning!! It's still very clear that he still in the coma but this bit of news is giving us hope now. He hasn't followed anyone around the room or even followed a finger in front of him, but we are hopeful.

The doctors are quick to shoot us down with their thoughts but we just need a little something to hang onto.

The surgery to repair the hole in his right lung was successful but they have not let him breathe on his own since. They will let him try today for a couple hours and see how things go.

Please keep praying for Spencer, I know you will.

Talk to you after the meet everyone. Someone will be posting pictures I'm sure. I just hope no one catches me with a mouthful of pizza.:goodvibes

Hope, always hang on to that hope Nancy!!!:flower3:

He has been in our prayers every single night Nancy! Doctors schmoctors! ::yes::

good afternoon everybody could you please help me log onto the site where i can show cath all your photos?

Yeah,

B9Creations is run by Mike Joyce. An internet aquaintance of mine. An excellent guy. Very honest and reliable. He built my torso for me when I was building my robot.

The B9 was licensed for production on two previous occasions. Both companies took orders and money prior to having built even one robot. Both companies built only a 10th of the robots that they had orders for and then went belly up. People who ordered from them lost thousands of dollars with no recourse. Mike is the defacto leader of a bunch of us nuts that endevoured to build our own robots. He gave the club some legitimacy (B9robot builders club) Ultimately, Mike got together enough suppliers to reliably produce a series of robots on his own. He even got Dick Tuefeld (the original robot voice) to record custom phrases for his robots. His next step was to convince the studios that he wasn't just another rip-off artist. They awarded him a license (mostly because we all love the guy) and last I heard he was very successfully making guys dreams come true.

Steve - Rick said he'd have two!:rotfl: :rotfl:

Nancy - thats good news - its progress, cling to it...he's gonna make it

Good evening/afternoon everyone.

It's taken me just over an hour to catch up.

We had quite a nice evening yesterday having a Uno and Curry evening at my brothers. This morning Rick and I took my Mum and Dad to a local town to do a bit of shopping.

Just waiting for Antiques Roadshow to start and I'm off.

We have a couple of new US shows airing on our TV channels this autumn. Wondered if anyone has anything good to say about these:

Hidden Palms
Californication
JourneyMan

Feedback would be good.:thumbsup2

I really wish my DH Dave would get on here and introduce himself. But he never even touches the computer. Maybe because I hog it all the time! I'll give a brief run-down of him: (personal ad style ;) ) Male, 43, 6'4", mailman, former military, loves to play golf, watch football (The Ohio State Buckeyes and Carolina Panthers), seeking lots of food, good beer, quality guy time on the ship (beer tasting, shooting hoops, etc) and oh yeah, joining the other guys on deck to check out the "scenery". :rotfl: He would kill me if he knew I typed this.

Abby, sounds like your husband and my boyfriend Bob have stuff in common. Bob is also a mail carrier and was in the Army for 4 years, then stayed in Germany for 12. Loves football, is going to be 41, and would love to play basketball with some other guys, and would like to do the beer tasting too if some other guys want to go too. Oh, and loves food too.

Just don't want mine checking out any "scenery". And he's usually not into that anyway:thumbsup2

Bob has only come online here once, but maybe he and Dave will hang out a bit on the ship.

Brenda is popping in and out and also didn't realize you meet wasn't until tomorrow. For some reason I assumed it was today.

I found two really cute dresses at Ann Taylor today - both were clearance items ... one was $15 and the other was $20. Talk about a steal! Now I just have to make sure the weight goes down in the next three weeks instead of up.

I logged 8,450 steps today, so I guess that's a start.

Oh, great job Brenda! Love Ann Taylor!:thumbsup2

What??? Nobody from Team Wisconsin has posted yet? I have already picked basil and been to the grocery store. Where is everybody??

Sounds great!! Dave was stationed in Germany for 4 years (I think that was around the mid-80's). When Bob lived in Germany did he do contract work for the military or was he completely done with any military connections? When I was pregnant with our first, we had considered moving to Germany so Dave could be a military contractor.

My pc is driving me crazy again. I have barely got online all weekend.

Keeps freezing on me and just stopping:rolleyes:

I am having a major trying on session later to see what fits:sad2: - I have about 20 pairs of black trousers - fingers crossed one of them fits:scared:

I have a question - do people wear clothes more than once? I have a denim skirt I pack - (doesnt crease and it still fits:thumbsup2 ) It would go with 2 differnet tops I'm taking - would it be ewk to wear it 2 evenings?
I wouldnt normally but space in case is getting tight.

Next question - Daybag for boarding list - what have I missed?

Cruise docs
passports
cameras
anadin
Ellis' medication
suntan lotion
swimsuits
bottle of water
snack for Ellis - keep him busy in the terminal
sunglasses
caps
swimsuit cover up

evening clothes

I don't see a problem with wearing something 2 times. I am having the kids and Scott wear most of their dinner pants 2 times.

weirdest thing. robin just called me over to see our neighbor lady
(not cinnamon). she has an electric razor and is shaving her legs on the front porch.:confused3 who does that? use your back patio!!
i told robin if she goes for the bikini trim, give me a call.

Myabe it is an older women thing. My mother does it on the back porch with an electric, says the sun light helps her see the hairs that she misses. I shave Scotts hair on the front porch. Because that is where the chairs are.

I just want to say that as each day passes I AM GETTING SO EXCITED for this cruise!!!!! :woohoo: Today as the sun was beating down on the kids and me while we were walking through some endless corn maze, I was expressing my excitement about it. At that moment the kids were not amused though because they thought we'd be lost in the maze forever and miss the cruise. :lmao: I made 3 door magnets so far but figured out how to make them better so I'm starting from scratch. I'll give my sister the ones I'm not using, since she's never gotten on the boards or even read anything about this cruise, and won't have made any.

Anyway, just had to express my excitement!!! :dance3:

Abby

Hey we had a nice party last night:grouphug:
Friends, food, wine, a nice fire outside....

Bob is always the life of any party....
Loves it!

Anyway, here's how to really make out from having a party:

Invite people over and ask that everyone bring a dish to share and a bottle of something.... wine, liquor, whatever.....

Everyone comes over with stuff, they leave, you've got tons of leftovers and...

we ended up with 4 bottles of UNOPENED wine and beer too!:thumbsup2

Cool!:)

Yes Bob was stationed there also and also around the same time frame mid-80's.
I think that he finished up after his 4 years and then went to work for a few other places, met his ex-wife, married, had a daughter and then things didn't go well and he moved back here in the late 90's.
His daughter, who is 15 now, is still living there with her mother.
He doesn't get to see her often enough but is trying to plan to go in a few weeks..... just before we cruise.

Boy, Bob and Dave will surely have stuff to talk about.
What are the chances that they knew each other?

What??? Nobody from Team Wisconsin has posted yet? I have already picked basil and been to the grocery store. Where is everybody??

I just got a call from Janice and they are in the Madison area coming back from the Meet. I would expect others to be on and chatting....any time now.
