Tip

If you or your child are not feeling well, and are stuck/confined to the room for the day and you do not like what is playing on the schedule, request a VCR and a list of movies and they will come hook it up for you and bring the movies.

Addison's 1st b-day.

She looks like Cindy Lou Who from "How the Grinch stole Christmas" :rotfl2:

Tip

I have another one, no matter how hard you pull or what you stick in that little hole in the ceiling, you will not be able to get that bunk down by yourself. The room steward will take care of it.
Also before you pull your arm out of the socket. Please read the instructions on the door before you try to open it. It's kind of tricky.
Also, you can request that your table be removed from your veranda. My 3 year old stepped right up on it to get a better look over the edge. After my heart flew out of my chest, I took that little table and stuck it in the hallway. The table looks just like her step stool at home, so I can't blame her.

looks like felix missed the islands if I am looking at things correctly

Yep. gonna weaken over land too.

Morning Steve,Carrie and Rose....

ps...Steve serves you right for losing all that weight....Cream bun Steve?...:rolleyes1

Mornin' Chris. You've hit the nail on the head.:rotfl2: Laura gets pretty fustrated at my weight loss.:headache: I don't even really talk about it much at home anymore.

Speaking of being out of it....

I had a very scary experience tonight. I lost time, not exactly sure how long but I think it was about 10-15 mins. It's never happened before and I am still feeling a little freaked out and worried.

We went upstairs to tuck Kira into bed and to say prayers. I remember going up there and I remember starting prayers, but I don't remember finishing them and I don't know what I did afterwards. I don't even remember leaving her room. The next thing I remember is looking at the bonus room (Rob and my brother had just finished moving my computer from the bonus room to my scrap room downstairs) and I felt very displaced. I didn't really recognize the room and then I walked downstairs to where Rob was putting my computer together and I didn't recognize any place I was going...almost like I had never been in this house.

Rob looked at me and asked if I was ok and I sat on the stairs beside him and just started crying. It was really scary, for both of us I think. He walked me through the last 30 mins and I realized that I don't remember leaving Kira's room.

It was very scary. Still is actually, I feel a little disoriented still.

I have never EVER not remembered something. Not even when I was young and drank like a lush. Even when I was completely plastered I remembered everything. I am the kind of person that can meet you once and not see you for 10 years and I will remember who you are, where I saw you last and what we said to each other, so for me, this is very scary.

Think I am gonna go do some research on this!

OMG, Cass!
I hope you're going to your doctor to check this out right away!

TIPS

The first is, do NOT feel stupid when you can't open your veranda door. Studies have shown that 67% of DCL cruises have to have their stateroom host show them how the door works. Of the ones that do manage to open it by themselves, 22% spent 10 or more minutes figuring it out. (hint, it swings and there is a lock on top that twists).

The second is that when you are looking and your really big luggage and remembering that someone said "stick it under the bed" and you start thinking "everyone else has skinnier luggage than I do" - lift the corner of the bed. They are really light and your bags will slide right under.

Yes, we did it last time with Chuck's suit. This is ironing I should have done after they were laundered. His dinner shirts are mostly Rayon so, they wrinkle easily. I LOVE to iron anyway. Quite therapeutic for me.:thumbsup2

Cass, I agree with everyone else so far. I think you are exhausted. You moved and put an entire house together in just days. Some people live out of boxes for months after moving (some for years:goodvibes ). I've also driven home from work and pooof!...I was home. I have no idea how I got there so fast. It should take 20-25 minutes, yet it felt like 5 instead. Take a good rest, cuddle with your "Dolly", and watch a cruise dvd. I know where you can find a good one! :rotfl2:

AGREED!!

Karen: Great photos. What the heck kind of camera do you have to get such beautiful "action" shots? And poor little Ellis. Did he recover from his allergic reaction quickly? I can eat any kind of nut except a hazelnut. I will puff up like Ellis within minutes myself.

Once, I had such a bad reaction that I had to go to the hospital and my shirt had to be cut off because I swelled up so badly.  There, that's it!! I guess I never came down from my reaction..that's why I'm still so fluffy.!!

Jeff: Post pics soon. I need a Disney fix and my family refused to let me watch Cass's video again this weekend.:rolleyes1

Danielle: Were you able to find the ring? It's a beauty, you'll love it.

:scared1:

Wow!
:sad2: Absolutely not me!
I've got clothes downstairs that have been waiting to be ironed for 1/2 year!

Will you do all mine on the cruiseship because you enjoy it so much!:rotfl:

I wish it was just swelling that Ellis got:sad2: - he gets the full works unfortunately anaphalactic shock etc:sad2:
Poor Ellis:hug:
Karen, this must be so hard to watch for all the time.

Contracts? :scared1: How much would you charge for a contract on Neils head?:rotfl2:

I knew someone would have to comment:lmao: - you could hire (rent) rings for the day or just wait for a free one to appear.

I did exactly the same in an exam with the word "who" - couldnt for the life of me think how to spell it ....kept wanting to write "how" but knew it wasnt right:confused3

Go on the 16th Lindy Loo - we can have a mini meet!

Oh yes, he cried:rolleyes1 - we only do it on the rides we know he'll love...he doesnt like doing new things...he gets very intimidated over new stuff and backs out without a big push from Mom he wouldnt do anything new.:rolleyes1

Thanks for sharing, it makes me feel better.
Sean would never try anything new without me either.....well except for food. I'm the scaredy cat in that respect!

Great thanks - more photos to come later - sorry!:rotfl2:

Karen, LOVED, LOVED all those photos!
What a great time it all must have been!

Our date was ok. It was hard to get into a date mode with the funeral and pay your respects thing that took most of the day. I was just mentally and emotional drained. So I really did not want to do much. We ended up going to borders to look for a book that Scott has been wanting to get (no luck) then we went for a quite dinner at WildFlower for soup in bread bowls and half sandwhiches. I really did not feel like eating and I did not want to anywhere that was noisey. This was just perfect. Very nice and relaxing. I am glad Scott made me go.

At least you got out and did something special and without any kids around and not too expensive either!
:thumbsup2

Morning Steve and Chris

Good morning. I've been at work for a little over an hour now. Hoping for a nice day. Holiday is over and all the Dr's offices are once again open so maybe...then again...we have been so unpredictable of late.

Thanks everyone for all your advice and concern. The thing is...I am always exhausted, really. I haven't slept well since my early 20's. I get up at least 2-3 times per night. And it takes me 1-2 hours to fall asleep so if I wake up 3 times, I automatically lose a minimum of 3 hours of sleep just getting back to sleep. Most nights I get between 3-5 hours of sleep. I am used to it though. I know some people (like Rob!) wouldn't be able to cope with that little sleep but I have gotten used to it. The last few days have been ok, most things are done. So I doubt it's exhaustion, but I will take it rather easy the next few days, well, ok, I will TRY but now that I am settled I am back into my workout/walk routine.

I am glad to hear some of you have done something similar, maybe it's more common than I thought. It was just scary, but it could be that I am just anal about remembering things and I couldn't remember so I panicked a little.

Let's just say that I am looking forward to this vacation and actually SLEEPING when I get on that ship ::yes::

OOOOHHHH!

Do you have a great recipe?

I LOVED the one I had years ago at the Rose and Crown at Epcot!

but I've tried to find a similar recipe I like and don't like any of them as well.

Umm, no recipe...I think my version has been Canadianized or something because it's very different from the stuff they serve in restaurants. I use ground beef, creamed or niblet corn and mashed potatoes. Nothing fancy but oh so yummy. It's not Rob's favourite though, but I think I have figured out why....he eats his food one at a time but when I make a casserole or shepherd's pie, he can't separate his food :rolleyes1 :lmao:

Karen, AWESOME pics :thumbsup2 It looked like Ellis was gonna beat his dad on that slide for a bit, I was pulling for him :cheer2:

And by the way, you look FABULOUS!! You don't need to lose weight hun! In fact, I want to look like YOU!! ::yes:: I've got about 15-20 pounds before that happens so I gotta work REALLY hard, but you really do look great! So go and have a piece of cheesecake, you can afford it :thumbsup2

Sorry to hear about poor E's allergic reaction. That would be horrible to worry about all the time, the way I know you do!!

Nancy, you wanna come over and do my ironing?? I hate ironing, and I try to avoid it at all costs! So I am a little wrinkly, who cares?? :lmao: :rotfl2:

Jeff, still waiting on those pics....we ALL need a Disney fix at this point, and yeah, you can only watch my videos so many times, right Nanc? ;) :rolleyes1

I'll try to get some pics up tonight. Surprisingly, we didn't take a ton of them. I will post some good ones though. I have 3 cards to download (my camera, Suz' and then we gave DS one of our old cameras - not many great pics on there, but I'll look at them and see what he's got).

No one cares to hear about the weekend, do they? You don't want details of the Pirate and Princess Party, the special fireworks or the Dining Plan which we had (it was free this weekend) or the other parks we went to, do you?

Am I all alone now? I have some time to DIS and no one is here?

Although, I do show that Rose, Carrie, Jen, Karen and Chris are online right now.

Karen :lmao: :lmao: I charge 30% of his life cover, how's his swimming dear?...:rolleyes1

Make it 20% and you're on;) - we have a HUGE mortgage that will be sorted:thumbsup2 :rotfl2: :rotfl2: - good job Neil doesnt read this - I might not get my birthday prezzies if he knew what I was planning:rotfl2:

Cass - you might be used to not much sleep (I'm the same), but it does ctch up on you eventually. Just take care of yourself:hug:
