Tipping - Does anyone know. Do we pay the tips in envelops on the last night to each person, or is it added to our room bill.

All the tips I have read say that it is done the night before in an envelop. But I have heard more cruise lines have gone to adding a certain amount to your room bill.

The answer to this is both.

You give the envelopes to the servers on Friday (you can do Sat morning, but the norm is Friday night).

You can charge the tips to your room account, therefore not needing to bring cash for it.

Would you let Rachel know that Kelsey will not be emailing her anytime soon are getting on DIS. She is grounded at least till x-mas at her moms house. (her mom always ends up giving in so it may be sooner) As for us we are taking it week by week. Her grade in Lanuage needs to improve to at least a C to earn a few things back. Other things need to change also. At this point the girl won't be seeing the outside of her room except to go to school, eat and go to the bathroom. DH just wanted me to let Rachel know. So if you would pass it on I appreciate it.

actually it seems really close to me - 6 weeks to get ready!!

the good news is that my parents have offered to have Thanksgiving (October 7/8th) at their place this year which means that I can use my dining room as an area to put luggage as I start getting things packed for the cruise.'

Canadian Thanksgiving is the 2nd Monday in October. We are further north so our Celebration of the Harvest (the true reason for Thanksgiving) is earlier than in the US.

So when my Brother married an American - it was great for them - as the family didnt fight for their time, we got them for the canadian thanksgiving and they got them for the american.

Yes, but if you put it on your room account and pay your room account with your Disney Visa, you get extra points. Just pay the card off when you get home.

unfortunatly our personal Dis Visa is max. So I won't be charging anything on that. And we already have the cash set aside for tips. So I much rather just pay them in cash.

I just spent the last hour on the phone with my mom. (First time since she got sick) Amazing. But now I am exhusted. A full day with 27 kinergardners and then an hour on the phone. No pictures from me tonight. I just ate my ice cream bar and now I am off to watch Paula and go to bed. Talk to you all in the morning.

How long have you had your card? Ask for a limit increase (you need to have I think at least 6 months).

You may want the extra room if you plan on rebooking onboard. You get the 6 months at 0%.

Although paying in cash will mean no bills when you get back.

Nancy--I just have to tell you (and everyone else--haha) what happened to me today. When I picked up Alex (2nd grade) from school we did what we do everyday when he gets into the car. I asked him about his day....He tells me that they have caterpillars in the class to study. Each child gets two caterpillars to observe. So I asked him if he named his. Guess the names he picked......KRISTIN AND TONY!! I have never named y'all when I talk about the boards and all he's ever interested in on the boards are the smilies.......and he doesn't know a Kristin or a Tony!

How sweet! I just told Kristin that she was a caterpillar in Virginia. She said that Alex should post a picture of the Kristin Caterpillar and then another when she turns into a beautiful butterfly. She was obviously flattered.
