A question for the repeat cruisers...

My mom (to whom I have been reading the menus) is wondering if we eat in the dining room on Saturday night, or if only the buffet is open? Help with rotational dining info??? :confused3 TIA!

Hi Jen
We too have always eaten in the dining room.Saturday being the first night is when you meet your servers. We have done four Disney cruises. This time we are going to the dining room to meet the servers and then up to Palo for dinner at 7:00.

Good news Victoria. We finally got our last one after 19 weeks. How ridiculous is this? Sheesh..don't even get me started. :scared:

Oh good, you got that last one! Yay!!! :yay: Geez, you guys have some passport issues. Ours took less than 2 weeks :rolleyes1

I'll have to see if I have one of us on the last cruise...hmm... but i think it is big and i am not sure if i can make it smaller or not. I'll work on it.

Just send me the big one, I have to edit it anyway! ::yes::

Sorry, I'm getting punchy now. Going for a walk in the rain. (Cass, wanna come with?) .

Absopositively!!! :woohoo: Lemme put on my WDW rain jacket and I will meet you out there!! :thumbsup2

Awesome photo! Love those dark clouds ::yes::

Does anyone know anything about the Fantasy Fest in Key West?

From what I've heard, most of it doesn't start until we have left port. I believe the good stuff takes place after dark.

Wow, did they ever change the Lumieres menu!!! We've always had LAP rotation so I am used to ordering my "Garlic Roasted Beef Tenderloin" on the first night :sad2:

Oh well, the Dijon-Mustard Roasted Beef Tenderloin sounds delish!!! ::yes::

Just stopped in to catch up on posts and to say HI :wave2:

Back to packing :faint:

I don't even think the Buffet in Topsiders is open on the first night. Nope. Just checked the Navigators. Topsiders doesn't open for dinner until the second night.

But to answer your question, you always have a dining room to go to for dinner. You may opt out for the Topsider Buffet, Palo, Room Service, Pluto's, or Pinnochio's.

I'm only doing this rotation because it is the most popular for the Western cruise.

During the first three nights, you will go to each of the three restaurants. After tonight, the menus are the same regardless of the restaurant you're in.

You will know your rotation based on your KTTW at check in.

APL = 5:30 or 8:00 depending on if you are early or late. You will have Animators Palate, Parrot Cay and then Lumieres. It will repeat the same order after that.

PLA = 5:45 or 8:15. Your order will be Parrot Cay, Lumiere's and then Animators Palate.

LAP = 6:00 or 8:30. Your order will be Lumiere's, Animators Palate and then Parrot Cay.

Hope this answers your questions. Please let me know if it is not clear or if you have additional questions. Someone here will have the answer.

Hey, I forgot. It is Formal Night tonight and the Golden Mickey's. Who's dressing up?

Here's my choices:

APPETIZERS
Shrimp Medley
with Cocktail Sauce

I may even try the Pineapple and Corn Chowder off the Kids Menu.

SOUPS AND SALADS
Yep, definitely going for the Corn Chowder off the Kids Menu.

MAIN COURSE
Citrus Glazed Oven-Baked Duckling
with the Potato and Veggies from the Tenderloin (plus a little piece of the Tenderloin)

DESSERT
Honey and Cinnamon Apple Tart
with Vanilla Ice Cream

AND

White Chocolate Domes
filled with Chocolate Raspberry Parfait and served with a Raspberry Coulis

Yep, going with both.

Where did everyone go? :confused3

I come on to talk about dinner and you all leave.

Whatever happened to "Beef, it's what's for dinner!"

I show up and you all turn Vegetarian on me.

Might as well set up an FO for someone while I'm at it.

That will bring you guys out.
