T-Shirt transfers:

I used Avery dark t-shirt transfers. You don't reverse the image either (which is really no big deal anyway). I also used white Hanes t-shirts and K & J used pink t-shirts from the gap.

I just put a pillow case on the kitchen counter and used that as my base. Put the transfer on the shirt, the tissue papery thingy they give you in the pack on top of that and ironed it for no more than one minute. VOILA!! Perfect results! :thumbsup2

I think Cass uses a different name brand of transfers though and gets excellent results too. I tired Georgia Pacific brand once and didn't like it as much.

Hmmmm....picked up Office Max brand of transfers because they had a sale. Hoping they work out well.

What's the theory behind the dark transfers again? I know people prefer them to the light/white transfers.

Morning Beef,

The only reason I like the dark t-shirt transfers for a white shirt is that I found it easier to peel off the tissue paper after ironing it on and I thought the colors were more vibrant. It just peels right off...easy peasy.

Have a great day of finalizing. Hope to see you DISing more after that. We have post counts to think about sir. :flower3:

Why cant you use a normal ironing board to iron on transfers?

How do you do the back transfer once you have done the front? Does the front one come off if you are pressing the back?

Morning all. I'm home for a little while. Alex has a drs. appt this morning for a physical and her six grade shot. I can't believe my baby is going to middle school. This is worse than her going to kindergarten!!!!! She has to ride the bus with high school students!!!!:scared1: :scared1:

After reading all the tshirt talk, I may just be wearing the lime green shirts we bought from disney without putting the logos on them. i wouldn't want to ruin them.:confused3

Perhaps you have to have a hard surface and not a padded one?:confused3

Who knows.

We're not doing tee shirts. Rick doesn't like tee shirts and I'm not sure that the rest of the party we're with will want them. I have done some stickers though, so we will be recognisable.

Jeff...know you're busy but QotD please.:thumbsup2

ooo, I know...has anyone received a magical moment on a Disney ship before or has CM done anything out of the ordinary for you?

On our 11 day trip last year, Rick & I bought a lovely map of the Caribbean, and the bridge staff plotted the ships course on it for us and it was then signed by the Captain. A real one-off.

I say we can go with that one.

Here is Heather's QotD again:

Our DS (well the family) was selected on our last cruise as the "family" of the week for our deck (may have been for our room steward, not sure). Anyhow, he got a private towel folding class in our room with our Steward and her Boss. He got a certificate for it as well. I can't remember if he got a pin also. I'd have to check with Suz.

Maybe not a Magical Moment, but still a big deal for DS.

Great one Jeff...anything out the the ordinary is a bonus.

Thats a very definate prognosis, Jeff. Why's that?

Heather

Well, considering we do 1,000 in a week or less, it will probably fall tomorrow. Just putting some cushion in there. We would only have to do 60 posts a day to get there from here. That's only 4 pages a day. Don't think we'll have a problem with that.

At 1,000 a week (we've been doing it in 6 days though) it would be 142 posts a day. We'll be at 19,950 by the end of today. Plus, if there is a run for the 20k, that will bring more people on. Plus, Carrie said Scott is off the next 3 days so I'm sure he and Mike will be going back and forth for quite a few posts (nothing wrong with that guys).

So, that is how I put it at Wednesday.

Plus, if I come back on here in any presence, that will account for probably 25-50 posts in one day. :scared1:
