Meet you at the hot tub

Judy:cool1:

Excellent Judy! Jay and I will be at BCV 10/15 - 10/25 since we're no longer cruising with you guys. It would be lovely to have a chance to meet you before you leave for the Magic. :goodvibes

Just want to let you know that we've moved into 7th place for posts, and are now about 1,200 behind 6th. Good job people.

Yup, a number 3. There were hardly any people in the terminal when we got there. Maybe 50 just roaming around. We walked right up to the desk to register. I think we got a 3 because Concierge got the ones and twos. We were the first passengers on the Magic after drydock so we were a little late in boarding. We boarded around 1:00. Then it was a huge cluster frick (:goodvibes ) trying to call the numbers out. The microphone was all crackly and everyone was talking so loud that we couldn't hear when our number was called. People just started holding up fingers to indicate the number being called. People with #6 & #7's stood in the front of the line and some unwilling to let us #3's through.

Man...."Get the heck out of my way...I have a number #3"!!! :rotfl2:

I think Brenda and Jason got there late hoping to just walk onto the ship. WRONGO B&J!! They had to wait until we all got on. By the time they got on half the booze was gone already. :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2: JK, JK!! They found some.

It was a total mess - completely unorganized... one of many reasons why we will never again sail on any ship just coming out of drydock.

As for the booze... why there was some waiting for us on ice in our cabin, and then there was the bar at the adult pool which we had to ourselves for almost an hour, and then there was the martini flight in Diversions, and more martinis in the promenade lounge, and wine with dinner.... :rotfl2:

All in one day... I'm surprised there was any alcohol left for anyone else! :lmao:

something to make you all smile and start playing golf!!!!

Two ladies were playing golf. One teed off and watched in horror as her ball
headed directly toward a foursome of men playing the nex hole.

The ball hit one of the men. He immediately clasped his hands together at
his groin, fell to the ground and proceeded to roll around in agony. The
woman rushed down to the man, and immediately began to apologize.

"Please allow me to help. I'm a physio-therapist and I know I could relieve
your pain if you'd allow me," she told him.

"Oh, no, I'll be all right. I'll be fine in a few minutes," the man replied.

He was in obvious agony, lying in the fetal position, still clasping his
hands together at his groin.

At her persistence, however, he finally allowed her to help.

She gently took his hands away and laid them to his side, loosened his pants
and put her hands inside. She administered tender and artful massage for
several long moments and asked, "How does that feel?"

He replied, It feels really, really great, but my thumb still hurts

Heather---If you talk to Linda again please tell her that I tried to get her a brunch ressie, but they are not taking any right now. It didn't even give me the option. I try again everyday just in case they open up the ressies again......

I have a question for those of you "starring" in my KK video....

Is there anyone who would object to me posting it on the DIS boards??

I am going to edit the video and take out the photos of everyone before I post it.

Let me know if you have a problem with me posting it in an open forum please.

No objections:goodvibes

Well, a big "Happy Birthday!"to Cass' Rob and Steve.

It's my Rob's birthday on the 12th, too!

Happy birthday to you all!:bday: :cake: :bday:

Just spoke to Linda and she seems fine and sends everyone her love.

Watch out Tuesday....the lady hopes to be back!

Heather

Great to hear she's getting sorted out. :goodvibes

I put the logo on the front and my DIS name and real name on the back.

Thats what I plan to do too - i it works:rolleyes1

I have 2 transfers printed to do Mackenzie shirt this afternoon. So we will see how it turns out. At the rate I am going I need more transfer paper. Is there a way to buy it without the software?

Software????:scared1: - I need software????:scared1: :scared1: - oh geez... this may take a while:rolleyes:

I have mine, Neils and Ellis', Lindy's, Waynes and Elouises...and I havent even got the transfer paper yet.:rolleyes1

WooHoo! - not that far off the next 1000 either:thumbsup2

I did some Spain packing today. I have 2 cases half packed and a list of my clothes. Its a start. My to do list is looooong...I need to get of my butt and actually do it rahter than write it on a list:rotfl2:

I hate these shirts. I am not one for patience or for things that don't turn out perfect. So now we are off to get more shirts and more paper. I think between pirate night and these stinking shirts I have spent an additional $200 I am not very happy about this. Maybe I will be happy when I have a shirt to show off.

Don't get me wrong. I am not normally a person who is so negative. It is just that I was not going to do shirt or the pirate thing because I have anough on my plate with Mac starting school, different hours at work, taking care of my mother that I really did not want the extra things to do. I was pleased with doing tag and investing my time into that. But DH wanted a shirt (which meant that I would have to make it so I might as well make them all) this is something I have never done before. Then DH wanted to do pirate night (which meant I was the one running around from place to place the last 2 months looking for things, then spending the time shopping on line.) Now I am back out for another trip to the store for more shirts and transfers. I could really scream at this point.

Karen, I did not need a software program to print my t-shirt transfers out. I just used Cass's creation and printed it out on my paper. It was super easy!!:thumbsup2

QotD..The only movie we saw on the Magic was Pirates 2. We forgot about the BV Theatre until we tagged someone's cabin door which was across from the theatre. By then, it was too late.:confused3

Webster is the common dictionary of choice in America; The Oxford English Dictionary is actually a much better, more comprehensive dictionary that traces the etymology of the English language through the earliest records (around 750 AD).

Not that anyone here probably cares (other than me) but you did ask. ;)

Heather, thanks so much for sharing your news from Linda. It's good to know that she and her family are getting back on track.

Happy birthdays to everyone! :yay:

Brenda--(GEEK ALERT!!) Did you ever read "The Professor and the Madman?" Really interesting book about the OED.

I also have a Brunch ressie that I'll give up for Linda and Wayne. Do you think if I plead their case with Guest Services, they'll let me switch it?:confused3

That would be very generous of you, if you could do it.

How about a cruise related QotD?

How many movies have you seen in the Buena Vista Theatre (plus the WD Theatre if they run one there) on a normal 7-night cruise?

For the newbies, how many do you plan on watching?

Has anyone had a complete rainout of a day during a cruise? We never had. Just wondering what people do. Was it at Sea or in a Port?

I'll probably take in one or two depending on what is playing. It's not easy to get a sitter so, we don't really see too many movies.

Eat, what is eating. There is free food on ship, I am not wasting my time or money eating that morning, just getting in line to sign up for the bus.

:goodvibes

:bday: party: HAPPY BIRTHDAY STEVE!!!party: :bday:

I've never watched any movies in the theatre. I am not a big movie watcher. Scott is though. He goes and watches them alot.

Cass, I don't have a problem with you posting the video anywhere. Go right ahead. it's hilarious!!!!!
