Tip for the mud room...

When you are in the steam room...and it gets WAY TOO HOT (and it will, unless you get a dysfunctional one!) ...remember that you can turn on the cold water faucet that is near the floor. This is the ONLY way I was able to tolerate the ridiculous heat in the steam room. That way you can walk around and keep your feet cool.

You can't see the faucet in this pic but (if I remember correctly) it's at the bottom of the sink unit and I think there are black hoses attached to the faucet. (The hoses might actually be in those little shower stalls, sorry it's been 2 years, either way, they are in the steam room and are located near the floor!)

I'm used to little sleep, although it has got better since the house move is over. I was stressing big time re Ellis' new school etc so didnt sleep much at all, but now its much better. I get around 6 hours a night, but usually wake about 10 times in that time for a drink or cos my dodgy shoulder is hurting and I need pain killers.

Geez - I sound about 100 years old!

Yes, we are friends with Cheryl and family. Met them on a Disney cruise a few years back. We stayed in touch over time and visit with them also. My wife is from just down the road from them so when we visit her side of the family we make it a point to visit. Your note sounds as if they have mentioned us on past notes.

Just here for a quick "Good Morning". Hope everyone's ressies went well last night. I'm not sure about ours and if it worked. I had a few computer issues last night and plan on calling DCL in 10 minutes.

Anyhow...as Jeff is still super busy, I will post today's QotD:

Now that all the ressies are taken care of (hopefully) what else do you and your family have left to do before the cruise?

We have:
Buying Travelers Checks (actually we are doing that today)
Ordering gift baskets from Shirley
Printing Boarding passes
Doing alterations on my pirate costume
Packing

I think that's it for us. Everything else is done now.

I had my picture taken with Minnie in 1973 but my friend has the picture as I have her's with Minnie. Why we never traded, I'll never know.

Well congrats to those of you who were able to book excursions and whatnot last night.

I got through to WDW dining right at 6AM this morning and got three of the four F&W events that I wanted and just dropped about $500...

I was originally told that the other event I wanted was sold out but upon further investigation it turns out that the restaurant in Japan isn't slated to open until mid-September so they're not booking the Sake / Sushi pairings yet.

Seemed kind of odd to me that that pairing would have sold out so quickly.

So... woo hoo for the most part!

Yes, that's the one. Supposedly it will re-open next month and that's where they will hold the Sushi / Sake pairings this year. I hope they straighten everything out soon... Jay and I were really looking forward to trying this one.

I'm usually up around 6am anyway so not too much of a problem.

She will get into the club - when you book they allocate her a place I think. I rememebr reading somewhere that some cruises were full if there were kids in the party but not full if it was all adults so I poresume they only let a certain amount of kids onboard

In case she wants to know...

The multi-vitamin I had been taking for Crohns and Colitis patients is called Forvia. But it's kind of pricey ($35 for a one-month supply)... so Jay looked up all the vitamins and minerals in the pills and found a liquid version that he ordered for me from a nutrional website that he uses.

It was $12 for a bottle of the stuff and it's called 1st step for Energy... 71 vitamins and minerals (citrus burst flavor). I only take 1/2 oz per day but my doctor told me it's a lot easier to absorb in liquid form so taking a smaller dose was fine.

We booked our excursions last night!!!

DH is scuba diving in Cozumel and Grand Cayman
Me and the girls are doing The Dolphin Discovery, and then we are doing the Nautilus Undersea Tour in Grand Cayman.
We are all going to the pirate museum in Key West, and then I would like to take the girls to a butterfly place in Key West also.
We are doing nothing at Castaway Cay, because there's nothing really appropriate for youngest DD. So we'll just sit on the beach and play in the ocean


I'm starting to get really excited about this cruise We were thinking about canceling it, because I just opened my own business in June, and I was nervous about closing the store for a week. But we decided to not cancel, and I'm glad we did because we really need this vacation!!!!



Well, DH is out of the shower, which means it's my turn.
