Of course it is because I am all alone again. But I bought a big strawish hat for the cruise today. Only because the last time I said I should have gotten one and I didn't. Not sure that I will wear it but when we were on the beach my nose sure did get burnt. I look like a tourist. hahahaha

That is a very good idea....Wouldn't you think that just from the parking lot of the terminal to the ship that they would not Lose any of them? But that is a good idea because I would look very silly trying to squeeze into my son's clothes.

Sorry, I should have been clearer. I meant you should pack your own clothes in two different suitcases. That way if the airline loses one of the bags, then you still have clothes in the other. (That is, if they don't lose both bags).

So... your tag bags are small... another clue for me to guess what is in the bag....

Or my carryon is big.

Evening everyone!

Not much going on around here. Pretty quiet, uneventful day today. Not that I'm complaining!

Just checked the calendar. 98 days til our cruise! We still don't have our passports. Not that they're mandatory, but I sure would like to have them before we sail. It's now been 12 weeks since we sent in the girls' new applications, and 10 weeks since mine & DH's renewals. Wow - it's really taking a long time!

Robin - how on earth did you get a AP vest? I love the photos! Mike really doesn't look that thrilled though! He sort of looks like the real servers on the ship - all ready for business! (I'll have an iced tea!)

Went to Hallmark, and spent a ton of money on ornaments. Sad thing is, I only bought 5. Two of them that DH wanted were over $30.00 a piece. UGH! Plus I had to run to a second Hallmark, as the 1st was already out of one that Katie wanted.

Well - guess I'll run for now. Just wanted to pop by and say hi. So...HI!

Hi all.

I just wanted some prayers as usual. My mom, my sister, and I were in a bad car accident on Friday afternoon. My sister and I are cut up and are very sore, but my mom suffered a broken arm and shoulder. She has to stay in a sling all weekend and see her orthopedic surgeon on Monday. We are lucky to be alive. A car on the side of me had a blowout, caused me to go off the road and when I got back on we flipped once. My Expedition is totalled, but it is my mom that I am worried about. She has such problems with her bones. Ok, that is all I can type for now. Just know that I am fine and thanking the Lord for sparing us. I thought I was going to die. I've never really felt that way and it has thrown me for a loop.

I know I am missing quite a bit since we are still in transit and I am not able to post. I just want to let y'all know that I am still here and will be more active once we are settled in Virginia. God knows I have had enough "excitement" here in Louisiana.

We are praying for you and you family. You have been through so much with this move and all. You really don't need any more. Please keep us posted on your mother and of course yours and your sisters recovery. Please tell me that the person who had the blow out stoped for you and helped. Please let us know if there is anything at all we can do.

Ok. You must have a point there because Scott has a scare on his face from having skin cancer removed. I think it is kind of sexy.

Just my 3 cents worth, but I would add DOB after each child's name. And I would tell her that DCL or the TA will need this along with the other forms by Aug 1st... so hubby can go with her all the way to the notary in case there is a charge for it.

And the kids will have great fun without pre-booking the excursions for them. And let's face it, there are plenty of excursions left to be booked on the day of cruise. The spa fills up on sea days and Palo fills up at certain times but the kids won't be doing any of that. And I only wonder if their silence to excursions is because they have "heard" that they might not be going. My kids tend to get quiet when they know dad is up to things.

You have so much else on your plate... you need this vacation!

Thank you, added the birth dates to it, printed it out and DH handed it to the ex today. She does not want to do anything together at this point. So he gave it to her and said we need this back ASAP. She was a little pissed off but she said she will give it back on Tuesday. So we will see if I have it in my hands come Tuesday. I am sure she will bill us for the expense.

Yes I need a vacation, but unfortunatly not the dis cruise. I need one without the older kids, and without my parents.

As for me, my stuff it getting the bags, and searching ebay to find things to use for tag. stuff like that. I am not the creative type so it is hard for me to come up with stuff.

I too always seem to be all alone on here.... at first I even re-read my posts to see if I offended people and they were all in PM somewhere instead. Now I figure that I don't have that Disboard Esp to know when everyone is up and typing on here. But it does make me look a bit stalkerish to have several posts in a row. I might be better now because I just learned how to multiquote. But if I don't post right then and there I can never find that post again when I am ready to.

Anyway, good morning everyone... I'm off to shop for birthday presents for my soon to be 11 year old. Woohoo... there is a pirate dress up suit in his future as well. =)

This was a really sweet message. Lets see a rainy day all depends on what day it is. I prefer to stay in bed with my DH and listen to the rain fall, and then at some point read a good book. But then again I do have kids, so that will never happen. The elderly, it all depends on who they are. If I don't know them I am pretty ok with them, but if I know them it depends on how they treat me. Lost luggage, I would be furiouse. Tangled Christmas lights, I throw them away.

Since I killed the thread again I am off to bed. Maybe Scott will get on tonight but I doubt it. He has not been to sleep since 2:00pm yesterday so he is working on 33 hours of no sleep.

Here's a little something to make you smile.
One of the roofers left their large bag of Hot Doritos on the patio table yesterday. Cabo grabbed it, and had the whole bag over his entire head and ate them all!! He wouldn't put them down for anything, not even the promise of a McD's icecream. Guess who is NOT picking up any hot flaming leftovers on the lawn today?

Umm...after you get Kira to bed and do all your chores...I'm surprised you can make it to the laptop...that is one full day!

It doesn't help that I don't sleep much at night. I go to bed around 2am and toss and turn for 1-3 hours then she's up at 7:15 almost every morning One of the reasons I am REALLY looking forward to the cruise...it's the ONLY time I actually get a good night's sleep!

We just got back about half an hour ago from spending the day in Banff/Lake Louise. Rob's boss from San Diego and his wife and 2 kids are in town so we took a little time to show them around a bit.

But you know what the BEST thing about today was???? On his way here, Mike stopped at Costco and bought us an AIR CONDITIONER!!! The kind that you stick in your window!!!

Although it doesn't fit in our bedroom window, it should fit in the living room window!!!

Mike is coming over tomorrow to help us install it. They are from San Diego, when they left it was around 75º and they were hoping to have cooler temps up here..... It's been in the 90's since they got here!!

When they brought the A/C over, they said "How do you people handle this kind of heat with NO A/C???????????

Ooooppps! I guess I read that too late! LOL too late on the multiquote. I thought he might prefer that than a ton of replies from me in a row since I am sure I am alone on here again. lol

I got my son Bionicles (which are like k-nex type build it yourself guys that light up) and the rest of the Pirates of the Carribean action figures that he does not have for his ship, some Ben 10 guys, and some pokemon cards. He is also getting a pirate outfit thing that he can wear on the cruise. lol I try to mulitbuy to hit both things... I got him some clothes that he'll need for dressing on the cruise too. (He wears a uniform at school so he doesn't have a ton of real clothes.)

Wow... I don't know how you can make it without much sleep. I would be walking around in a fog. I'm glad you sleep on the ship though... although you won't have much time for it... too much fun to be had.

We went on a little gambling cruise one time and a storm hit as we were on our way back. The ship was rocking so hard and people were holding on to the side and filling the bathrooms they were so sea sick Me... I could not keep my eyes open... I just fall asleep. Not sure if it is some odd form of sea sickness or if I am a big baby at heart and like to be rocked to sleep.

I might make one. If I can come up with a great idea before then.... and not talk myself out of it.

Well I am off for the day. I have to wrap up the gifts so he doesn't see them, I have to take my dogs to the groomers, go to church, grab a bite of lunch, I have an open house from 2-4 so I have to prepack the car with signs and such, show a house at 4:30, and home to get my kids after that, then prepare for my out of state clients 6 hour tour tomorrow. Yes, I have to work today.
