Hi all.

I just wanted some prayers as usual. My mom, my sister, and I were in a bad car accident on Friday afternoon. My sister and I are cut up and are very sore, but my mom suffered a broken arm and shoulder. She has to stay in a sling all weekend and see her orthopedic surgeon on Monday. We are lucky to be alive. A car on the side of me had a blowout, caused me to go off the road and when I got back on we flipped once. My Expedition is totalled, but it is my mom that I am worried about. She has such problems with her bones. Ok, that is all I can type for now. Just know that I am fine and thanking the Lord for sparing us. I thought I was going to die. I've never really felt that way and it has thrown me for a loop.

I know I am missing quite a bit since we are still in transit and I am not able to post. I just want to let y'all know that I am still here and will be more active once we are settled in Virginia. God knows I have had enough "excitement" here in Louisiana.

Paige, thank goodness you are okay. A vehicle can be replaced, but your lives can't. I was in an accident once where I rolled my vehicle, thank goodness I wasn't hurt and I was alone, but it sure can be a hassle, until you get everything straightened out w/the insurance company. Hopefully you'll get to VA safely soon.:grouphug:

What are zipper chests?

Candyman is almost bald, most of the time I keep his hair short that way you can not tell he is balding.
cinnamike here.

Can you all tell me what you think of the form that I made up. Does it sound ok, and are there any typos.

PERMISSION TO LEAVE THE COUNTRY

I ________________________________, am giving Scott Allen (father)

permission to leave the country with our minor children, Kelsey Allen and Kyle Allen.

The dates are October 18, 2007 through October 28, 2007, for a Disney Cruise to the

Western Caribbean. I am aware that the cruise my be diverted to the Eastern Caribbean

pending bad weather.

Just my 3 cents worth, but I would add DOB after each child's name. And I would tell her that DCL or the TA will need this along with the other forms by Aug 1st... so hubby can go with her all the way to the notary in case there is a charge for it.

And the kids will have great fun without pre-booking the excursions for them. And let's face it, there are plenty of excursions left to be booked on the day of cruise. The spa fills up on sea days and Palo fills up at certain times but the kids won't be doing any of that. And I only wonder if their silence to excursions is because they have "heard" that they might not be going. My kids tend to get quiet when they know dad is up to things.

You have so much else on your plate... you need this vacation!

I was going through the passporter and it doesnt recommend the Conzumel Ruins and Beach tour - anyone agree or disagree????

it did recommend the Tulum Ruins tour if the kids were 8 and over (which isnt the case for me) - again - anyone agree or disagree?

Our concierge said that she went on that one with her son and that she liked it better than the one to Tallum because of the travel time. That is the only one that I have heard that has gone on it, we have heard several people that have gone on the Tallum who said NO, never again! to it. They said it was hot, they didn't stop anywhere to get a drink of water or anything and it was long and tiring and crowded.

So, we are trying it. And with our crowd, it won't matter how bad it ends up, we find fun in everything.

Skinny?? BAHAHAH!!! :lmao: Obviously you are NOT wearing your glasses!!! :sad2: I have 20 pounds to lose just to get back to the same size I was on our last cruise!!!! :scared: Then I really would like to lose an additional 20 after that but I will be happy if I just lose the first 20 before this cruise!

And no...that is the ONLY cruise shirt that I actually wear all the time. But I only recently started to wear it (maybe 6 months now) but it is from our first cruise in 2002 :rolleyes1

Mike is looking a little lobster-ish!!! ::yes::

I love seeing all the pictures. Kira is adorable! I think I should have started way back with you all when I booked and I might have achieved weight loss goals before the cruise. We should have one AFTER the cruise. lolol

Well, I am going to take this DIS tag stuff and work on it downstairs where it's a smidge cooler. G'night Carrie! Take care! :wave2:

Just sitting her trying to research some stuff for my new bus. and looking some stuff up for Scott. I might get some tag stuff done also we will see how motivated I am.

Work on stuff? Work on what stuff? Should I be working on stuff too?

Ok... I'll need bags..and stuff to fill them... (thinking about that still) and... then what????

Sending prayers and healing your way... How scarey..

I too always seem to be all alone on here.... at first I even re-read my posts to see if I offended people and they were all in PM somewhere instead. Now I figure that I don't have that Disboard Esp to know when everyone is up and typing on here. But it does make me look a bit stalkerish to have several posts in a row. I might be better now because I just learned how to multiquote. But if I don't post right then and there I can never find that post again when I am ready to.

Anyway, good morning everyone... I'm off to shop for birthday presents for my soon to be 11 year old. Woohoo... there is a pirate dress up suit in his future as well. =)

Question about Blackberry's...

If you have a blackberry phone do you pay extra to use the internet on the ship if you are using your blackberry and plan?

OMG Paige! I am so glad you are ok, I guess it could have been a lot worse! Lots of prayers and dust stuff to you and your family!!! :pixiedust:

Work on stuff? Work on what stuff? Should I be working on stuff too?

Ok... I'll need bags..and stuff to fill them... (thinking about that still) and... then what????

And then nothing...pack them in a suit case and meet us on the ship :rotfl: Mine involved a little work, so no biggie.

No worries Susan...we all have those moments! Some more than others :rolleyes1 Usually after Kira goes to bed, I finish or eat supper, watch some shows, get some chores done, workout and then by the time I get to my computer, usually I am all alone or sometimes I have Carrie or Scott to chat with. Sometimes I can pop on here during the day on the laptop downstairs (like now!) while Kira is playing on her own and actually get to chat with real live people :woohoo:

cinnamike here.

I'll have to keep Rick away from Robin then as he has a Zipper too!

Good Saturday Morning to everyone!

Mike & Robin Great garage pics. :thumbsup2 Where do you guys get all that stuff? Very nice cruise picture too. Robin, did you know that Mike offered to buy us all one of those strawberry smoothies?:lmao:

Paige OMG!! I'm so sorry to hear about the accident but happy to hear you'll be ok. Someone's guardian angel must have been near by. I do hope your sister and mom get better soon too. That had to be so scarey for you all. Let us know how you are doing when you get a chance.

Linda No, I didn't lose buckets last week. Just 3 pounds. Tony and I have a bet and I'm 1/2 pound away from NOT having to pay him $1000.00!!:cheer2:

Cass Do you have a picture of the new house? When will you know for sure if it's yours? Keeping my fingers crossed for you.:yay:

Carrie We all kill a thread or two. But we always come back.:)

Here's a little something to make you smile.
One of the roofers left their large bag of Hot Doritos on the patio table yesterday. Cabo grabbed it, and had the whole bag over his entire head and ate them all!! He wouldn't put them down for anything, not even the promise of a McD's icecream. Guess who is NOT picking up any hot flaming leftovers on the lawn today? :rotfl2:

Susan,

See the little red light in the lower left hand corner of this post? When it's green, that means that person is logged onto the DIS. If it's off, that means they are not on, and if it's red like mine is that means we are logged on but in "stealth" mode. I leave mine red because I don't want anyone at work knowing that I DIS every chance I get during work hours. :rotfl:

Actually, I think I have to take that back. You may see mine as "off" and only I see the red light.

Glad I could help. Clear as mud now??:rotfl2:

Looks like it's my turn to be the thread killer.:guilty:

Just got this E mail from a friend. It has really a wondderful message about life in general. As I count you all as friends, I thought I should share it with you.

It certainly made me think a bit !
