Where is everyone this weekend? Out and enjoying the weather? Who has off on Thursday the 5th? I'll need someone to DIS with all day as I'm off on the 4th and 5th. I'm hoping to get our pirate costumes together or at least started.

I'm making sure that I'm good and busy so I don't eat before the weigh in.

We had a wedding to go to yesterday and the food was delish!! And the cake....OMG!!! White cake with raspberry and chocolate filling. It was absolutely sinful.

So, where's Jeff? Did he get fired from out thread since I last posted?

After I unpacked my luggage from the wedding weekend, I kept my carryon in our room. Chuck asked if he should take it to the basement and I told him I'd like to leave it there for cruise packing. Now any other DH might just roll his eyes and shake his head, but not mine. He said he was surprised that I didn't have it packed already by this time.

Nancy, I'm doing great! Weather today is beautiful and I've been outside with the boys all day!!! I've already seen the video and I nearly peed my pants!!!! She is the best!

Usually I have Thursday's as my day off during the week, but I signed up for OT..... need lots of vacationing money!..... so my boss asked me to come in this Thursday.

I want the money, but it might have been nice having 2 days off in a row.

My upcoming Miami and Disney trip is being ruined....

I called up my cousin whom I am flying in to visit in Miami before Sean's interview up in Melbourne on the 12, Thursday. We were staying with her and then borrowing her car for the day to go to Sean's college interview. Then coming back to stay with her that night and then Friday all of us, including her 3 year old daughter and husband were driving up to Disney and staying there until Sean and I flew out Sunday morning.

Well I called her a few days ago because I hadn't heard any more about our plan for Disney.... what hotel...etc...

She told me that there had been a change of plans...
her husband is leading seminars for his job on Friday night and Saturday during the day, so he couldn't come with us to Disney.

Ok, fine... we'll go without him? right?

No. She doesn't want to take her daughter to Disney for her first time without her husband there too (which I can understand), but....

She tells me this less than 2 weeks before we're coming there?

I'm pissed.
Now I have to rent a car for the week, because she said that as long as we're driving to Melbourne we might as well keep driving to Disney after that because it's only an hour away, so then I won't be using her car.

She was going to rent the rooms at Disney with her Florida resident discount.

Now, I'm pricing how much for a rental car and 3 nights in a hotel at Disney and 3 day passes for Sean and I and I'm coming up with over $1200 not including food and gas.

I can't spend that right now. $500, maybe but not over $1000.

So
I've called my travel agent and asked for some prices on different options, but she is also checking in on my flight cancelation pricing and perhaps then just coming home on Thursday after the interview.

We might not go to Disney at all

I am so not happy with that cousin

And to think that she hadn't even called me and told me this yet....
When was she going to tell me???

Well, I actually had the weekend off from caring for Mom & Dad. This week is going to be another tough one. We're tag teaming again. They are both at home and can't be left alone.

We now have dad sedated much of the time. It keeps him less violent. Mom is recovering from her hip surgery, (moving around very well), but constantly ask when she's going home. (She is already home and doesn't know it most of the time.) She still has her goofy sense of humor though. She's in the moderate stages of alzheimers. Dad is obviously in the advanced stage. He doesn't know where he is and wanders from room to room most of the time. He does step outside for a few minutes. He lies down and sleeps for 5-10 min. frequently throughout the day. But luckily for us, he sleeps all night.

I work from 8-5 mon-fri and go to their directly to their house and stay until my brother gets home at 11:30. This week I should only have to do that tues. & thurs. The three of us kids switch off. My older brother quit helping. This week we are trying to get some in home care and make funeral arrangements for the future before all of their money is eaten up by home care & nursing home care. (I have doubts about whether dad is going to handle strangers caring for mom) He got upset when the nurse gave her a shot. If this doesn't work, we have to place him in a facility. We're doing our best to keep him out of there.

Hopefully, things will quiet down soon and we can get back to some positive thoughts. All this negativity is driving me crazy. I'm afraid I haven't been much company for Mike (even when I'm here.)

As long as I don't have to kick any cinni-butt.

Jessalyn......we have done both early and late dinner. They both have their pros and their cons.......and it all washes out in the end. If you think you might have a hard time getting them ready for early dinner then you will probably have a hard time still getting them ready for an early show! (Unless you are going to skip the show!) Regardless you still have to be dressed, either for dinner or a show, at 5:30 - 6:00.

Now, have I totally confused you??????

very good point - I think the pros of the Early show are winning - I think I will take people's advice and see if my travel agent can pull some tricks and get me moved to early seating
