Missy and I can be catching up on the posts in the mornings and we are reading the same things and she will be cracking up reading his posts and I just sit there most of the time looking at the screen like an idiot!!!!

The same thing happens between me and my DH. He gets him and I don't. Then I try to catch up an run across conversations between the 2 of them and I really get lost.

I can't agree with that at my house. Julia DD4 doesn't listen to anything I say. I kno't even know if she is aware that she should listen to me. She is VERY strong willed!!!!!

And thats why I love Julia!!!!

Mackenzie is very strong willed and very independent but thanks to the step-kids she has learned early on in life not to get on mommies bad side. So she goes above and beyond to stay on my good side. She even has to tell the older kids to behave and listen, respect, and use your manners.

Thanks for asking. I have not seen her this week. I spoke to her today and see is doing better physically. The heat is really wearing her out so she trys not to go out after 10:00 am and before 5:00 pm. Mentally she is still not the same and I don't think ever will be. She no longer pauses between subjects of conversation. Really confusses me. She tends to jump all over the place and she admited today that she has lost more memory then just since April. There are things from years ago she does not remember either. Other then that she is good.

DH said he could see the 2 girls taking over steering the ship before the trip is over.

I think the reason behind her is that she does not like it when I am upset and it has been a long road with the kids and she does not want them upsetting me so she reminds them all the time not to.

I'm glad to hear she is doing well.......maybe some of the memory loss will return in time......I hope so. Is she still coming on the cruise with you? It sounds like if she does, she might not need your help all the time.....I'm still hoping that you and your DH will have some alone time to relax, drink and enjoy.......

I thought that was a really odd concept myself when I had Mackenzie. But my mother was great with her. She took her over night one night a week and kept her 2 days a week so we did not have to have daycare. Then she would even take her on weekends for Scott and I to have time together. At that point my inlaws did not want much to do with Mackenzie. Now that my mother can not take her my inlaws actually offered to babysit the other night for Scott and I to go out. When we went to pick her up they asked if she could spend the night. Talk about a role reversal. My grandparents would not spend time with me unless I went to them. So my mother would ship me over every summer just to make them spend time with me.
