Hi everyone, this is Tony, Nancy's son.

Unfortunately, my mom is in the hospital because she was apparently on her computer at work this afternoon and fell backwards off her chair and cracked her head open on the desk behind her.

I talked to her boss and she said that all they heard was my mom laughing her butt off and then kerplunk, back she went.

We just got back from the hospital and she doesn't recognize us anymore.

She just keeps repeating...

Thanks - how is Arizona this evening?

I am doing well, How about you. As for AZ. It is hot and very windy the past 2 days. So much that all we see when looking out the windows is a brown cloud of dust. Hello allergies. The weather this year is weird. How is it there.

Thanks - I would say "oh to be 30 again" but I wouldnt mean it - At 30, I didnt have my kids, I worked 60-70 hour work weeks, and spent my weekends trying to find someone to be my life partner. At 40, I have financial security, a wonderful family (specifically my neice and 2 kids), a person to share my life with who truly loves me including all my faults, and a job that while frustrating at times allows me to come home and enjoy my life most nights.

Life is Good at 40!!

I am having a very hard time with turning 30 this year. I have never had an issue with turning a year older but this one is different. I have felt like I have not accomplished what I would like in my life so far and with all my health issues most of my life 30 could be mid life for me. But after reading your post I feel a little bit better, knowing that you accomplished those things while you were in your 30s. Thanks for the pick me up.

Its been real hot for the last 2-3 weeks but has cooled off the last 2 days which is a nice break. Our part of Canada can have a wide range of temperatures so you never know what you are going to get. Yesterday, we probably never went over 50 degrees F while 5 days ago it was around 85 degrees F. I guess Arizona is a bit more constant in temperature.

Everyone has been wishing me Happy Birthday which makes me want to go on the cruise even more as that is my official birthday present. My mgmt team at work gave me a bunch of Disney Beach wear (towel, hat, skirtwraparound, etc) - God I wish the trip was next week!

You and me both. After talking with everyone I want to go now not later. I hate waiting for things. The weather here is alot more dependable until this year. Normally in mid May we will reach 95-100 and then in June we will stay in tripple digits until Oct.

Sorry to hear about all the health concerns - I hope all is better now or on the way to recovery.

I have done some relection lately - and i really saw my 20s as my years when I was wandering - I worked really hard, I partied hard, had lots of fun - but there was no real solid direction. It was in my 30s that i really determined what was important to me - and started really focusing on it.

Such as having a positive attitude - My family are all really negative people - and I have found that I spend less time with them now as I want to have positive perspectives around me. I like being happy - and i want my kids and better-half to always be looking at the good things in the world. That positive attitude has gone a long way to making me feel truly content and happy inside. I think that is why I like being 40 - I can honestly say that I am happier now than I have ever been in my life.

I dont know how to send pixie dust - but I hope you find your 30s as good as I did - the cruise will be a great way to kick off the next decade.

I agree that the cruise will be a great way to kick of the next decade. As for my health. I had my last surgery in March of 2006, so I have made it over a year with nothing wrong. I can hardly believe it. I have spent most of my life sick or having some form of health problems but they think they finally figured it out and have corrected it. But all the drs. have said that with everything that has gone on it my past 29 years that they will be very surprised it I make it to 80. Oh well all I can do is make the best of it.

I settled down when I was 21, 22. I only partied for about a year. I loved going out to clubs and drinking and hanging with friends. But I met Scott and he had 2 young kids so I gave that up to be instant mommy. That is what I thought I always wanted was to be the stay at home mom. I have since realized that I need more then that. So that is where I am trying to figure things out.

Ok, I checked the KK siggie logo that you've used and it violates DIS Signature rules So before you get any demerits (or whatever they are called) you might want to change your siggie. I don't want to get you guys into trouble

I have come up with one that doesn't violate the rules AND allows enough KB's for this logo AND one or two countdown clippies. The logo is about 29 KB and your countdown clips are just over 3 KB.

This allows enough KB's left in your allowance (total of 50) for a web-sized photo (like the one I have of Kira in mine) and ONE countdown OR no photo and TWO countdowns (since you are allowed a MAX of three images total)

You can either link straight to it on my site ( I promise not to change the photo on you ) or you can right click on it, save it to your computer and then upload it to your photobucket account and then add it in your signature.

Still here, just that I have four (4) jobs... yes, 4 jobs.
Why do I need 4 jobs you may ask?
1. It's so that my wonderful wife can spend her day with Kira and not have to work.
2. Bills... they never go away.
3. WDW and DCL vacations every 2 years, they are expensive.
4. I can't sit still....
5. The food benefits from working at home is awesome

So, what four jobs do I do? I own my own business which does a number of things, such as:
- Professional Mobile DJ
- Canadian Sales Manager for a RF Company
- Client Relations for an electronics R&D firm
- Sales & Marketing Manager for my parents company

...so that's what I do; I keep busy, out of trouble, and I do my best to keep my girls happy when I'm not working

and there isn't enough time to spend with them, that's for sure.

My first post was when I was 19 weeks pregnant and now I have a six-month old, most of these people have watched my daughter grow since her birth, so I feel very close to these guys and this thread will flourish well past 10/20/2007!

I have a feeling that the thread will continue through a "Live from the DCL 10/20 KKCruise, here's... Timon!"

I'm trying to figure out a way to do a live webcam if we can... details later hopefully.
