nancy, if chuck and i are playing basketball whats the chances of you and robin putting on cheerleader outfits and cheering for us. :cheer2: it may inspire us to play better. ill have to run it bye robin when she gets home(but i think i know what shell say)

Not a snowball's chance in H$ll Mike. :rotfl2: And I'm quite certain Robin will echo my sentiments. :lmao: There would be absolutely nothing inspiring if you put me in a cheerleaders outfit. :scared1:

mike here. all this talk of passports has me curious. our TA told us we dont need a passport this time for our cruise. so we havnt bothered. we have never had passports before so we figured we would wait till next year.

Mike - don't worry too much about the passport thing. You can still use your birth certificates on a cruise line when you leave or enter the USA. You would only need a passport if you were flying out of and back into the states.

Did you pay with a personal check? I would get a copy of the cancelled check and then call the Passport Office and request expidited service at no cost since they lost his. DS was actually due to mail out of New Orleans just 4 days after Katrina hit. It finally got to us several weeks later. At least they showed his in the system. I wouldn't let Tony's go too much longer.

He tried calling for a status last night but they wouldn't even talk to him since his trip is in October. I did request a status from them over the internet and plugged in that he is needing it by July 20th (just a bogus date) and we'll see what that brings up for him. I told him to call back tonight and tell them that he is needing it now by July 20th.

Nancy, do you want to tell her or should I? :scared1:

Oh no, did she do it again? :rotfl:

Just kidding. That word is fine, but I bet we could have had you going though. :lmao:

You let her off the hook too soon Jeff. :lmao:

PRE-HAPPY BIRTHDAY WISHES TO KRISTIN!!!!

party: :bday: party: :cake:

I'll pass it on but I'm sure she says Thank-you!

Good luck with your #1 pass from Chris. I bet they make you show your "gold" key to the world card.

I thought I had "connections" with Chris. That is if Lori (I mean Missy)doesn't steal them from me before October.

Not sure what you're talking about. I don't have any special logos in my signature line. :rolleyes1

I'll have to wait until I get home to add mine.

No Mike they are not necessary this year as long as you're cruising to Mexico. I wanted the kids to have them because just in case there is an emergency and we have to fly home from Cozumel, they couldn't without a passport. Unfortunately, Tony's original Birth Certificate is also at the Passport Office with his application. If he doesn't get his by October, then I'll have to order another BC for him to take along.

We don't plan on letting this go too much longer though. I'm going right to almost the top of the Wisconsin ladder and calling Senator Kohl to get things done for us. (Senator Kohl is a relative of my SIL so I'll try that route after an alderman).

We don't plan on having an emergency but my dad is not doing so well lately and I need to be prepared. :sad1:

Jeff,

Ok, sure let's go with the green logo....but methinks I should redo the writing as it's a little hard to read when it's so small. I will do that later when I have more time. (During the day I am on the laptop downstairs with Kira and not on my computer with all my files and programs :upsidedow )

If anyone doesn't have photobucket, they can always just link to Jeff's logo on his Photobucket too!

Scott, you can add stuff in your signature by clicking on "user CP" up on the top left in the red banner part. Then click on edit signature and you can put links or photos there.

If you still can't get it, I can help you out later tonight, since we both seem to post around midnight :goodvibes

hey, its worth a try.

Hey John - I know what you mean - i hear about the stuff that can happen to kids and I freak out - I cant even watch certain TV shows anymore without getting upset.

Hope the twins are doing better - I had both of my little ones sick at teh same time back in November and then I got sick as well - it was brutal but somehow parents find the will to get through it all.

If you got to YouTube and do a search on Disney - you will find a video of a family telling their kid that they are going to WDW - it looks like they are picking her up from school and saying "we are going right now". Its a cool video. One story I read somewhere is they told the kids they were going on a day - like October 27th - that way the kids could get excited about going and start to plan. But then they parents wake them up a week early to say - sorry - we lied - we are going today!

Your job sounds very interesting - do you have your own company?

Jessalynn

Jessalynn,
I am a partner in a private firm that provides managed security services to businesses. We also do communication technologies as well. This is the job that provides for me. The other job I perform is done for free, I provide as much as I can back to the world. One of the twins has down syndrome (Alyssa). She just had a second surgery on her ankles to correct her in-step. I got the bill this week which was over $20,000 for this last procedure. Our insurance picked up 50% of that and a program that Alyssa belongs to picked up the balance. The first surgery was much the same. She also had major heart surgery shortly after being born and it too was almost the same scenario. Since there is a program that has taken care of such large loose ends with Alyssa, I work very hard to make sure it is given back. I also work for a company serving over 300 participants like Alyssa (only older) that provide day services, jobs and care. As much as it would be nice to have a second wage, doing it for free is one of the best ways to balance off what the world does for Alyssa.

Today the twins are fine! :woohoo: Fingers crossed, no calls yets from the nurses office and only a couple of hours left in school. Now I am not sure what to do about telling them about the trip. Surprise them the day of, week of or sooner. I'm going to share those ideas with Dawn and make her decide.

Thanks everyone for all the camera advice, I started gathering little gel packs from unopened items around the house, gonna grab some fresh ones closer to October. Cass has the right idea of buffering the cold to hot climate too. Hopefully we won't have any camera trouble, our kids love watching the DVDs from other trips before bed. Over and over, I would never live it down if I screwed one up.

Anything to help in beating the Spurs. I love it when a team makes it for the first time.

We down here hate the Spurs for what they did to the Suns. Hope Labron and Co. can do it.

Good luck:shamrock: :shamrock:

Poor little darlin'......hope all went well! Kicking in the clear blue water of the caribbean is just what she needs to rehab those little ankles!;)

Have you ordered the cruise planning DVD yet from DCL? Maybe this is another way to surprise the kids! Since they like watching DVDs from other trips maybe you could pop this one in the night before you leave and say something like "would'nt that be a fun vacation!" !:yay:

Thanks Cass, I will have Carrie try it, otherwise I will give it a go on Sunday. I start my work week tonight. So no more late night chats:sad2: til then. The next 4 days is nothing but sleep and work (unless DW has a chore or 2 for me).
