Carrie,

If you go to http://www.cafepress.com/konkedkruisers you will see the available shirts, with prices there as well. Also somewhere on the site you can find the shipping rates as well, so you can choose whatever products you want. I think the cheapest is a basic tee for $10 I believe.

I will make several versions of the logo tonight, one without the flags and then hopefully a mod will post a poll on the KK board and we can vote on our fave one. So if you have any suggestions for the logo, PM me before tonight.

Cass
Please help. I was so excited this morning when I went to the link and saw all the different types of shirts. I went to it this afternoon to show DH and the examples of shirts are no longer there. There is nothing for us as a group personally on that page at all anymore. I checked it again just now and it is still blank. What did I do wrong? How can I get it all back for DH to look at? :confused3

DH also wanted to know if the shirts themselves would be white or a color such as gray, black or dark blue?

Just an update on Mike (Scott's bosses son) He is still in ICU in critical condition. He has been taken off of the ventilater. But family visits have been limited because everytime he is stimulated his blood pressure gets dangerously high. They have given him some new dr. and new meds. He is now on 4 blood pressure meds. He heart rate is also extremly high. He is responding to commands but not on a regular basis. His mom states that there is a new concern besides all of this and the pnemunia. His white blood cells are extremly high which means a new infection has taken over his body so they are trying to fight that. She also says that he has lost alot of weight (he was not that big to begin with). So this is concerning her alot.

Please just keep him and the family in your prayers. His family has actually asked if everyone that knows them would tell all of their friends about it so there could be more prayers going for them. Thank you for supporting someone you don't even know. It just shows how much this group of people really care. :grouphug:

HELLO ALL!!!!!:yay:

The second half of the "Virginia Duo" has returned and oh how I have missed each and everyone of you!!!

Let me tell you my story........

Last Friday a.m. my DH called me at the office crying (yes, crying) in pain. He was trying to drive himself to the ER while in excrutiating pain and hanging his head out the window (if you know what I mean). Scared to death, I told him to pull over and call 911.....well, you know men, ......no way! So I told him to stay where he was and I would come for him......

I got him to the ER where they immediately put an I.V. in him and pumped him full of pain medication. They then took him for an abdominal ultrasound. Turns out he had gallstones, one of which he tried to pass. Unfortunately it had lodged itself in his bile duct causing inflammation and infection of his pancreas! Poor man. He was, of course admitted. Over the next several days he was given heavy doses of antibiotics and pain meds to try to improve the condition of his pancreas. After this was accomplished he was then taken to surgery where his gallbladder was removed! It was only just last night that I was able to bring him home. I don't know who was more relieved him, or me!!!

Anyway, to make a long story short.....I have been shuttling back and forth between home and hospital, trying to take care of our kids, myself and my husband, the best I could for the last several days........I'm glad we are finally on the road to recovery!!!!!! I'm exhausted!

I know that I have missed much.......I spent several hours last night and this a.m. trying to catch up........

I know that I cannot possibly reply to all that I have read but here is an attempt:

:cheer2: HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ALL YOU JUNE BABIES!!:cheer2:

We are ALL going to have a blast.......you never know, by the time the cruise comes round, your mom might be dancing circles around you at Rockin Bar D!!!

Wow, you have been through alot....you are in our prayers. Glad it was now,(if it had to happen at all) so that he has time to heal before the cruise.

Hang in there, and get your rest.:goodvibes

The family is in our prayers always...We lost a nephew (18 yoa, sr in HS) to a car accident. That is such a hard thing to go through as family, I know the heartache my brother/sister in law had making decisions & we as a family just needed to be there and support them in any way we could.
I'm certain that this family just needs lots of prayers & support from everyone.:grouphug:

Missy

I am so glad that he is well now. How scary to get a call like that let alone see him in so much pain.

I must give the man credit, he tried to be the macho man by driving himself but per your advice he stayed put and let you come to his rescue. I am glad that he did not try to be the kind of man that kept on driving for his safty.

I know that we live very far apart and I can not be there to help you with anything but at least know that I am here if you need to talk.

His recovery should go pretty quickly and smoothly and he will be doing great by the cruise.

Get some sleep and catch up when you can

BIG NEWS IF ANYONE IS FLYING AIRTRAN

I just went on their site to check out flights for Labor Day weekend and they have an icon to see seat availability. This is new. You use to not be able to see it.

Then I see that they took away the "seats assigned at check-in" from the "deep discounted fares". Also, those are now called "more advance purchase".

Anyhow, I went to my reservation for October and you can now select seats. It cost $5 more per seat per flight, but you don't have to wait until 24 hours in advance. Furthermore, Exit Row is available for $15 per seat per flight. We can't do ER because we fly with DS, but it's nice to be able to book it.

So, if you want to get your Air Tran seats assigned, do it now. I'm sure this will be emailed over night. This wasn't there last night and I can't remember if I checked this morning.

Thanks for the news, so are traveling on AirTran, I will have to go out a see if I can book our seats.:thumbsup2

OMG Missy! I am glad Mike is ok! That must have been horrible to go through!
And to be able to juggle everything else while he's going through that, must have been really hard. Big  to you and Mike and lots of dust stuff to you!!!

In accordance with intellectual property laws, CafePress.com has certain rules regarding the types of merchandise that you can make and sell through its service. For example:
NO UNOFFICIAL MERCHANDISE
NO use of names, logos, pictures or other intellectual property of musical groups or musical artists. For example, you cannot make Britney Spears merchandise simply because you run a fan-based Britney Spears website or just because you downloaded her image from an internet website. You also cannot modify the name or other intellectual property of a musical group and avoid infringement, (e.g., using Metalika instead of Metallica).
NO use of names, logos, pictures, or other intellectual property of sports teams, colleges/universities, clubs, or organizations such as the Los Angeles Lakers, Harvard University, or The Boy Scouts. Again, modifications may not avoid infringement.
NO photos, logos, caricatures, or other artwork depicting celebrities, such as Michael Jackson or Madonna, or other third parties. Just because you take a photograph of a celebrity does not give you the right to use that photograph on merchandise, even if you digitally manipulate the photograph.
NO use of trademarks, names, or logos of companies. For example, you cannot use the name of a company such as Nike, a company logo such as the Nike "swoosh" trademark, or brand name such as Coca Cola, or a modified version of a trademark, (e.g., "Just Did It").
NO pictures or photographs of products (such as toys). Even if you own a product, trademark laws may still prohibit you from selling merchandise that features pictures of it. For example, you cannot take a picture of your Barbie and sell merchandise with that picture.

Hmmm, well, I guess we can't do this then. My only other suggestion is that we decide on a logo and then you can print it on an iron transfer and put it on your own t-shirts. Any other suggestions???

Go figure. :headache:

Dust stuff to you and your husband....:wizard: :wizard: I had my gall bladder removed about 3 years ago after quite a few attacks. Scary when you are having an attack, that's for sure! VERY PAINFUL, too. Luckily the recovery is usually speedy, but warn him that his digestive system will be off for a while...maybe up to a year. Without trying to be gross, my unwanted advice is know that "when you gotta go, you gotta go" or you may "go" in your britches.....:rotfl2: After a while your body figures out that the gall bladder is not there anymore and makes up for that absence.

Glad y'all are home now and getting much needed rest.:thumbsup2

WOO HOO! I just booked part of our June 2008 WDW trip. We are staying at Shades of Green for a few days during our trip, and they had openings for the dates I wanted so I am pumped!!:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

G'night y'all!!:)

How 'bout something to make us all smile?

Oh my goodness Missy - what a lot for you to contend with - Poor hubby, We're all wishing him a speedy recovery.

Thank you for supporting someone you don't even know. It just shows how much this group of people really care.

It looks a tiny bit more hopeful than before..no ventialtor and responding etc, but there will be hundreds more hurdles for that poor family to leap over before he's well:sad1: - still praying for him and his family.

G'night y'all!!:)

Oh how wonderful to have something to look forward to in 2008:cool1: - with the move and the costs etc we might have to forfeit next years holiday:scared1: - we ALWAYS go away for two holidays each year plus several long weekends etc, but not next year:sad2: - we might manage a last minute break in Europe somewhere, but whenever we do that we just spend the time saying "Its not as good as Disney is it?":rotfl:

Oh well, a lovely new house will be ours soon:banana: - we can camp in the garden:goodvibes

My hubby has been humping boxes all day - we finally got round to hiring a storage unit and he's busy filling it with all the boxes I packed up. Nice way to spend a day off:rotfl:

He offered to take us out to dinner tonight but I dont want to blow my diet - 1.5lb off this week:banana:   - I could try to be good and choose wiseley, but I know I wouldnt:rotfl:

Anyway, I'm waffling now, so have a great day everyone,...post loads so I have something to read:thumbsup2 I think we've all done pretty well being as half the Konkers are off on their hols:thumbsup2 Wonder how Heather is on her Alaskan cruise? - cold I guess:rotfl:

byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee for now

I know first hand how painful those gallbladder attacks are and can relate to Paige's graphic description;) of the after affects.:scared1:
Thanks for the big AMEN too!!

Karen...good job on the weightloss!!:cheer2:

Good morning everyone We have had a very busy week and I haven't had much of a chance to even peek in here so I see I have lots of catching up to do today in between trying to get caught up on the housework too. We have spent the past week shopping for a new car and I feel like every waking moment that I wasn't at work this week was spent either at a Toyota dealership or on the internet researching different Toyotas. Last night we came home with a brand new Toyota Highlander! :cool1: I love it!

OK I'm off to start some laundry and cleaning but I'll try and keep popping in here to get caught up.

Have a good day everyone!

Cheryl

I am new to this whole thing of disigning things on the internet and buying but could there be another t-shirt company that we could go through, if there is a strong enough desire for shirts, which it sound like there is.

If anyone knows of another company, please post and I will check it out!

Jessalyn,

Did your Travel not give you an 8 digit DCL confirmation number? They should have! With this number you can go to DCL's website and go under your reservation and check out your reservation details. You will need to do this if you want to make any advanced reservations at the 90 or 75 day mark for Palo, excursions etc.

Too bad I'm on a diet or I would be at Harveys all days tomorrow :lmao:

I finally got hold of her and got the number - so now I am set up on the web link so I can make Palo reservations. Do you think I will be able to when it gets to the 75 days before date? or will all the spots already be gone?

Ok, hang on...is it Jessalyn or Jessalynn?? On the KK sheet it says one "n" but I just looked at your last post and you put two "nn"s :confused3

Its 2 n's (Jessalynn)....I will have to make sure the KK is corrected. - thanks for pointing it out.

Story behind the name: When my Great-Grandmother was pregnant with my grandmother - she realized that she was about to give birth to the first grand-daughter on both sides of the family. She wanted to please her mohter (Jessie) and her Mother in Law (Lynn)....she being a very good daughter/daughter in law - she merged the names and name my Grandmother - Jessalynn. Now there are a few of us in the family. Most of them are in Alberta as that is where most of my Mom's family is located.

I have also found non-relatives with the name on the Internet and I get annoyed as its supposed to be our families' name (just joking).

Oh my goodness I can complelty relate. Up till 2001 (the year we got married) the kids were with both parents equal time, everyother week. It was great. But they were switching in middle of the week, which could not work for school. So we got full custody with mom having visitation. Well in 2002 when I got pregnant it went down hill from there. The ex really started using Kelsey as a pawn to be mean and evil to me. We were have a rough preg to begin with. I could not handle the older 2 anymore but that did not matter to anyone. From 2002 to 2004 the kids switched back and forth 5 times. Things stayed rough until 2004 when the judge gave the ex full custdoy and us visitation. I could not have been happier for me, but I knew it was wrong for the kids. Well in April of this year Kelsey told her mom exactly how she feels about her and moved back in and the judge granted it. Now last weekend the mother has decided that Kelsey does not have to go see her if she doesn't want to. What ever happened to a court order and sticking to the thing. I know that Kelsey living with us is the best for her, overall she is a great kid, but she has been pushing it abit around her so when she comes back Monday it is a whole new ball game.

After hearing your story I am glad Scott and I are only children and have no extended family to worry about. The inlaws are enough for us.

The situation with my nephews got a lot worse after my son was born. I was never sure if it went bad as they went to high school or because of my attention on Spencer. Or if it was that they just had a bad upbringing the first 12 years of their lives.

They taught me a very important lesson - kids really learn their ethics, behavaviour, respect at a young age.....you cant start teaching them these things at 12 or 13 years old. I think we helped them get through those tough years but it was difficult. They are good boys - I just wish they had been able to make a few better decisions (such as not dropping out of high school).

From the posts - it seems that you have a good relationship with both of your step-kids. Do they get along with youngest?

It shouldn't be a big deal but even if you don't get it online, you will probably get it on the ship as they don't open ALL of the tables for online reservations, they hold some for people who don't or can't make online ressies.

Tip: If you want to join a fellow KK for dinner at Palo's, ask them to add you to their reservation, even if they only have 2 people in the cabin, they can make a ressie for up to 4 people. We did this last time with our friends.
