Hi everyone. busy day today....same old same old for a Saturday.....baseball! Then Emily and I are off to shop for party favors for her friends. She is having a sleepover birthday party next Friday. This is much harder than when she was little. The movies they want to watch have to be screened by me and I have to think about putting a password on my computer so they don't get on the internet when I go to sleep. At least I don't think I will have to worry about boys sneaking in or knocking on the door....between Moose (our dog), and Rob, I think that situation will be well taken care of.:rotfl:

Y'all have a great weekend...or what's left of it!

AFEG...you are very generous to call ManU rubbish........Around here we call the N.O. Saints "pigs" when they play like sh*t.:rotfl2:

I am so excited. I just got back from doing a morning of shopping. I like to spend my days off going to thrift stores (just 2, Savers and Goodwill) to see what junk I can find. Well I went to Savers yesterday and found a nice shirt for Mackenzie for the cruise. No big deal, not that great of a day yesterday. But today I pulled up to Goodwill and realized that it was the 50% of everything sale today. I hate those days because you can never get a cart and it is always so busy. I told Mackenzie that she would have to walk next to me. We get in the door and what is there? A cart. :cool1: We got there at 9:45 and we did not leave until 11:40. I walked out with 18 items for $27.00. I am so excited. I got Mackenzie 2 formal dresses, and everyday dress, an every day shirt, and a toy that kept her busy while I shopped. I got Kelsey a pair of pj pants, and a nice shirt for the cruise. Now the best part of it all. I can never find anything for boys in good condition at a thrift store. Well needless to say I think all of Kyle shirts are done for the cruise dinners. I got him 2 long sleeve button down shirts, a sweater and 2 nice long sleeve shirts, and 2 everyday shirts, a black pair of slacks and a kahki pair of slacks. Then I got one bag of stocking stuffers for x-mas. I was so excited that I had to come home and wake up Scott to show him all the stuff.  :cool1: I never have days like this.

If I could ask all of you for another prayer I would highly appreciate it. My DH's bosses son was in a horrible car accident on Thursday night. We are not sure of all the details but he is on life support and had bleeding in his brain. They say the outlook is not very good. His name is Mike and he is 17 years old. The star of his HS football team, and a real girl magnet as he puts it.

For those of you who have talked with my DH this is the family that we do fantasy football with so he is not only DH's boss but a friend. We will be going to the hospital on Sunday to see him and find out more.

Thank you all
Carrie

DS and DD should be getting dropped off anytime now and then we are off to my mothers to help her for the day. We each have a job today. Kelsey gets to clean the house (vac, and dust). I sweep the tile floors and mop, clean toilets, and take mom on erronds. Kyle gets to help Scott with yard word, and Mackenzie is adding dirt to some of the rose buckets in the yard. I feel sorry for the ones outside today. It is about 105 today, but at least they get to jump in the pool. I will give you an update on my mother when we get home this evening.

You got it. That family needs a lot of prayer.

That's awesome Carrie  I LOVE it when I find a deal, but 18 items for $27.00 is better than a deal :thumbsup2 and you found clothes for the kids for the cruise too yet!

Hi all,

Just got back from my mini DISmeet with Wine Diva. :yay: What a sweetheart she is and cute as a button!! Really!:cutie:

We drove around Racine for a little bit because we never connected this morning via the DIS. Couldn't find the place at first because I had no idea what it was named. Finally stopped and asked someone and they directed me to the right place.

You guys will just love her.

To my Wine drinking Wisconsinites. What an amazing store she works in. Very trendy with tons of wine. You should stop in. You'd really enjoy it.

Also, remember when I asked for help with my DIStag mission? Thanks to Victoria, MISSION COMPLETED!!:cheer2:

I could have talked to her for hours. Sweet sweet lady.

Carrie we'll keep Mike and his family in our prayers :grouphug: pixiedust: I hate hearing about things like this happening, it is so sad. Life is so precious and none of us knows what tomorrow will bring. I'm going to go give Rachel a hug :grouphug:

Carrie I hope all goes well at your mom's and that she is at least a little better than when you saw her last week :flower3:

Nancy that is so nice that you actually found Victoria! I will definitely have to check out her wine store, I should do that before we go up north to visit my sister and brother-in-law in July and I could take a bottle of wine from her store with me.

:cheer2: That's great that you finally got that item you were looking for :cheer2:

Did you get lots of nice plants?

Jeff hasn't come by with his rotertillar yet, is he still at your house :lmao:

Cheryl, We got lots of nice plants, some of our veggies, and dirty shoes. I didn't have to pay for those though. I keep forgetting to wear my old ones when I go.

Jeff has not been here yet either. SLACKER! :lmao: :rotfl2: (jk..Jeff)

I also checked on the Midwest website and it looks like our seat are still the same. 10A & 10B.

We'll have to have a mini meet of Wisconsinites before we leave. Jeff/Suz, You and Al, Victoria and her DH (I think it's Kurt), Firefighter Chris/Melissa, Janice/Mark and Judy/Dave. My kids won't come.:snooty: :rotfl2:

Speaking of Judy...where are you????? Come back to us.:wizard:

What a fun mini DISmeet I had with Nancy today!! She actually took the time to find me at work and I wasn't even half in the bag yet!! :rotfl2: I totally ignored some customers  , not really, and had a nice talk. I got 3 hugs from Nancy and even 1 hug from Chuck--now that makes a wine diva happy. :) Nancy would have made everyone proud as she was wearing a lime green t-shirt.

Cheryl--you are welcome anytime. The name of the store is Uncorkt! and we are very easy to find. Even easier if I give you directions and you are not relying on the kindness of strangers like Nancy. :yay:

Jeff has not made it to my house either and I sure could use it!!
