I did some training out there at Waukesha Mem Hosp a few years ago. It was part of my Dosimetry training. I spent two weeks in the Embassy Suites somewhere near there. Do you know anyone from Rad Onc? i met several people from that hospital. Very nice people, just talked funny!!!!:goodvibes

Wow Lori what a small world, to think they would send you to Waukesha, WI for some of your training! I guess that must mean we really do have a top notch oncology dept. I hope I never have to visit it as a patient but I have all the confidence in the world in the oncologists and for that matter I really think that as a whole Waukesha Memorial has a great group of doctors. The Embassy Suites you stayed at was probably in Brookfield just off I 94 now it is called Brookfield Suites. I don't really know anyone from Rad Onc, I ususally only talk to the receptionist or nurses from that area when needing to call them with ultrasound results. Hey what do you mean they talked funny, they probably thought the same thing about you ;) ?

Heather Did you leave for your cruise yet? Have a wonderful time on your Alaska cruise!!!! Can't wait to hear all about it when you get back.

I am here, just. This is my last post...so I'll make the most of it.

Does everyone on here collect the disney trading pins? We have never done them and don't have any so I was wonder if it is a big thing on the ships and if I should get some for the kids.

There is usually quite a lot of pin traders on board. They also have special pins that are only available on board ship.

Didnt loose any weight today, at my weigh in:mad:

Linda - don't give in to temptation. When I was with WW a week when I stayed the same made me even more determind for the next week. Try writing down everything you eat this week. It will help you if you are tempted to cheat.

Anyway...good luck.

Yep you're right, Aurora is the enemy especially lately :lmao: ! I work at Waukesha Memorial Hospital. I did do both my X-ray and ultrasound schooling at St. Lukes though, but that was 21 years ago already and a lot sure has changed in that time. It is amazing all 6 of us kids in my family work in health care along with 3 of my nieces and none of us work for the same company.

There are lots of people that work in hospitals on our trip. I guess you all hate 'House' then. Rick and I absolutely love the programme.

Sorry but I hateWimbledon, why?,Because the minute it starts the rain comes and it don't stop for 2 weeks solid and that's when the real nightmare starts, bloody Cliff Richards comes out and sings on central court and that's enough for anyone to have to stomach, you did ask sorry......:sad2:

Now now Chris, it wouldn't be Wimbledon without rain, overpriced strawberries and cream and the obligatory song from Cliff, now would it?

We'll I'm off now. It's 9.44pm and I have just a couple more things to do before I go to bed. Be good people and I see (?) you all in three weeks time.
And as they said in Hill Street Blues...lets be careful out there!

Heather

23 miles one-way, but I don't take the freeway. I'm almost due west of my office. Amout 35 minutes - 45 if I drive during rush hour. You get use to the ride.

I would never live by my office - too cold. We are usually 10-15 degrees warmer out there. Plus it is quiet. Taxes are much less out there too.

Don't you have a 15-20 minute drive up from Muskego? I remember driving Racine Ave from the Rock Freeway and that alone to Hwy 59 is almost 10 minutes. Then to drive through Waukesha.

Suz is only abut 12 miles from her work and it is usually 20 minutes and that is on the county highways with 50+ mph speed limits.

It takes me about 30-35 minutes when going to work or back during heavy traffic times but about 25 min. when traffic is lighter like it will be tonight when I start at 7:00. I am glad I don't have to take the freeway to get to work unless I jump on the Rock and head over to 164 and go into Waukesha that way which I actually do alot because it is often times much quicker than Racine Ave.

Jeff it looks like we have your day all planned out for you tomorrow. You will be very, very busy especially now that you need to get over to Victoria's house too :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

So let me see if I have this right.

I load the tiller in the SUV early tomorrow morning.

Drive to Millagers for the mini-WI cruise meet.

Drive to Nancy's and till her garden.

Drive to Cheryl's and till/create her gardern.

Go with Cheryl to Red Robin.

Come home and finally get Suz' garden tilled.

Did I get that all correct?

Glad to hear that you had a good experience there. Rachel was born there too of course and Al has had some pretty top notch heart care and procedures done there too. It really is a good hospital and a good place to work even if I can't use the internet to DIS during work hours :rolleyes1

DS was born at Waukesha. Love the hospital.

Victoria I'm not sure how awake I would be for a trip to Milaegers in the morning. It depends on how often I get called in at work tonight. Lately our call nights have been so busy that I come home at 7 am when the call shift ends and I need to go to bed for a few hours because the ER has kept me running all night, but you never know maybe I'll have a quiet night for a change. If a true DIS meet develops let me know and I'll make sure I'm awake enough. Otherwise I'll take a raincheck. I'd love to visit your wine shop!
NANCY and/or anyone else shopping at Milaeger's tomorrow morning:

I will be at work from 10am-5pm. I know it would be a little out of your way, but my wine shop is in downtown Racine, very easy to find. If any of you want to come around I'll treat you to a glass of wine. :flower3: If not, have a great time shopping at Milaeger's.

Geek Alert!!

Jay and I love Colonial Williamsburg... we spent our honeymoon there and are trying to figure out when we can plan another trip back. I love Virginia...all that history. :cloud9:

We love Williamsburg too! I love that whole area, there is so much history plus the fun of Busch Gardens!

Lori I read an article in our newspaper, must have been the travel section, about the 400th anniversary. How exciting that you were actually able to be there! Was it very crowded?

Scott and I and th kids just spent the weekend in Jamestown for the 400th anniversary. The kids loved it. We really like the Williamsburg/Jamestown area. We go often.

Carrie I hope you feel better! I hope things get easier with Kelsey and the Ex Wife :grouphug: pixiedust:

Thank you. I should feel better after telling DH about everything that happened today and I have a few glasses of wine. I had to meet with the EX Wife because of everything, not my idea of a good day off.

Actually Heather we like 'House" in fact it is one of DD Rachel's favorites (and she says she wants to be a Dr. when she "grows up") and the episodes I have seen I really liked it too.

Have a great vacation!!!!!!!!!!!

Cheryl

Have a good evening everyone. I'm off to get us some dinner made (or bought) and then off to work. Tallk to y'all tomorrow.

Cheryl

Heather, have a great cruise!

Linda, don't let it get you down! Just keep going and you will lose it! I know how you feel, some weeks you work your butt off (literally!) and you gain weight! It's tough, but I am there with you. I am in my second week of getting serious about losing this extra weight, I've lost 5 pounds total and I have 25 more to go (ugh :scared: ) Any weight loss is great, so keep up the good work!!!

All this talk about Cedar Point is making me turn green with envy! Rob and I have wanted to go there for about 10 years now but we haven't been able to get there :sad2: We are HUGE coaster freaks and that is coaster heaven!!!

I'm starting to think we need a DIS Meet in Sandusky, OH over the summer.

Or better yet, a Konked Kruiser reunion next summer after our cruise.

LINDY IS THE OLDEST;) , then me, then Jeff, then youself

OK OK dont rub it in please !!!

We went to Busch Gardens this past weekend and rode The Griffin. It's drop is 90 degrees!!!:scared1: :scared1: It was awesome!!!

Now I WAS excited about this, till i read on another few pages to see it wasnt in Tampa..... what a shame. we LOVe rollercoaster, thrill rides ( well I do, and Wayne has to follow!) now if this was at Tampa i would have thought about nipping down for the day, however we are planning a 2009 month long trip to florida for the new seaworld water park ( plus E will be 7 and can swim at Discovery cove:thumbsup2 ) maybe the Griffin will be there by then:confused3
