Do you know anyone who lives in the States? Maybe a relative?

Could you come down and get a satellite dish and converter, set the address up at their address, and then install it at your house? You could point the dish to pick up the signal. Then you'd get all of our stations.

As for not being able to air in Canada, is that your governments' rule? I know they do block certain news channels up in Canada.

No, don't know anyone really close in the USA. Well Rob's co-workers in San Diego but I don't know how comfortable they would be with that. I have thought of that....I think it's the only way to do it.

Scott here, I do not know how to help other than checking the websites to see if they will air a show over the computer. I am not that knowledgable enough on computers to be that helpful. I know our cable comes with 5 channels in spanish and 1 or 2 BBC stations.

Yeah, I have checked for that too. Do you know the main networks like ABC, NBC CBS don't even allow Canadians to watch the free episodes on the internet?? You know when you watch a show and it says, watch this episode again at ABC.com?? Yeah well I went there as I missed 3 episodes of Desperate Housewives, and found out that Canadians can't watch them

Rob knows more about why we lowly Canadians can't get some US channels like HBO, Disney Channel and the Travel Channel, I will let him explain it better....later tonight as he's in Vancouver and attending a trade show right now....

OMG, I almost spewed! Hahaha, yes like Mike was saying, a fellow DISer that was on our cruise made us some buttons for the DISmeet, which ended up being a bit of a bust, lots of shy people...I only got to meet 3 or 4 DISers I think.

Passport Woes continue...

Kristin and Stacy have theirs now. Jesse is still waiting but the website shows it's being processed.

Tony had to call our Congressman last week and they told him that he'd have it by June 25th unless they call him back. So today, I urged him to call the office again for a status. They called him back late this afternoon to tell him that nothing can be found for him. What?? I thought they would call him back if there was a problem last week. So that means they never really checked into it until now. No application, no birth certificate, no nothing found on him still. Don't you just love our govt?? He has to fax all his paperwork over to the State office but he doesn't have a copy of his BC because "someone" has it in Washington somewhere. They are not getting his original either. Good thing we still have 4 months to get it.

I know, I know...that was boring. Sorry, I have to vent to someone.

Oh i forgot, Victoria, I need your help. We are fairly new to the wine thing, and I am not sure how to unscrew the cork corectly. I keep getting little pieces broken off on the top.

PS this does not have anything to do with the previous postings today!

Wine Diva on the job! First, what kind of corkscrew are you using? A lot of times the problem is that you are "screwing" it in too far. WATCH OUT--I am talking about wine, keep your minds out of the gutter please! If you screw it in too far sometimes the cork starts to break. I can probably give you better advice once I know what kind of opener you are using--there are lots of different kinds out there. Good Luck!

What has been the best surprise left in your room by the room guys or gals? Our first cruise I had my hoop earrings and a bracelet laying out while we went swimming and when we got back he had come in and arranged the bracelet as Mickey's head and the hoop earrings as the ears!!!
