Welcome MinnMick! You have ALOT of info to catch up on! I've only been reading these boards for a year and am still learning new cruise things all the time.

This make cruise number 10 for me. Only the second DCL. I took it when I was 13 and it was still called the Big Red Boat. This is cruise number 3 for my DH and number 1 for the kids. This will make number 18 for Grandma and Grandpa.

We are traveling with my family of 6. I'm Nancy with DH Chuck, Our DD Kristin and her boyfriend Jesse (DISname:TeamFunPants) and our DS Tony and his fiance Stacy (DISname ST Cruisers).

This thread has been nicknamed the Konked Kruisers (KK's) and we truly are a crazy wacky bunch of the nicest people you never met.

As you can also see by the amount of posts we have already we are very talkative too. So, like Karen said, just jump in anytime. We look forward to hearing from you and hearing more about your family.

So I have to ask what type of room did you all book. We have to seperate rooms there was just no way we could splurge for a family suite. MinnMick, our family is new to the board also, We've only been booked for a couple of months, so I read, but don't post too often. Everyone is very friendly, can't wait to meet them in person. In our family it is myself, DH, DS (12), & DD (8). Who is traveling in your group?

Boards are a whole new thing for me. We are still working with dail up internet. Cutting costs in order to pay for this trip. In our group our my parents, myself, DH, DD (12), DS (11) and DD (5). This is a trip for the 5 year olds b-day she will turn 5 on the 21st, a day a sea yah.

Our family of five is going on the 7 day sailing on the Magic. We have been booked for a little over 2 years and just found this website. What else have we been missing out on?

There is my DD 12, DS 11, DD 5, we are going for her 5th b-day which is on the 21st. Our full day at sea. We have also talked my parents into going. Talk about a stressful trip. I am hoping it is all going to be worth it.

Hey Jeff my numberplate on my car is N 666 MUM!!
N for Noakes, 666 cos ima devil ( and Elouise was born in Malesbury, and thats their telelphone code ? ) and MUM cos thats what I am.
Wayne brought my number plate for me when I had Elouise it was very novel.... not a diamond necklace or ring in sight

We have booked a cat 6 on deck 6 also. It will be myself, DH, and 2 of the kids and then Grandma and Grandpa booked the joining Cat 6 so they will get one kid each night. They want to rotate which kid they get.

My DD Gwynne turns 5 in July, so our two little ones are pretty close in age. What a great way to spend a birthday!

Is she your only child. Mackenzie is our youngest and we are kind of doing it big for her birthday, but at least she will be old enough to remember it for a while.

Last Oct on a 4 night cruise, Elouise made great friends with 2 lovely American girls, Kylie and Nicole. They went EVERYWHERE together.
It was sooooo sad on the last day, when they had to all say goodbye. I was actually crying watching them hug and cry.

It really did help make the cruise very special, and she enjoyed the club time and pool time so much more....as any only child, she often only has mum or dad to play with.

Details please. I have heard of cruise lines doing a wine tasting but I have heard nothing about Disney doing it. Do we know the cost. My DH and I would be willing to do it if the cost is not to far out of reach.

I dont have alot of info, we didnt have time to do this last time, but heres what I THINK I know !!!

Called Stem to Stern,.... trying 5 to 6 wines, with time to taste and learn about them.

You get a disney pin at the end.

normally on a sea day at 2pm

however Ive emailed DCL and asked if they would put on a private DIS wine tasting, no reply as yet... look at it this way at least they havnet said no !

I never even thought about the saying goodbye aspect. I have done the exact same thing. I have made at least one friend on every cruise and it is so sad to say goodbye. I did not even think of it from a 5 year old stand point.
