Jeff - I'm still in cabin 5139 - no upgrade for me showing on the website:sad1:

Thanks Heather - I'm off to watch the video.

Brenda - initially I thought - "oh oh,cant go to that then - peanut butter and jelly meet":sad1: ....yeah! - can make a Brenda, Plankton and Jason meet though:banana: - let me know what day you're thinking of and I'll try to work our schedule around it.

See what happens when I try to be funny? I create chaos and bedlam!! :lmao:

We're pretty flexible...I thought I'd start a database in the Yahoo Group to try to see how many people might be able to make it and on which date and then try to narrow it down from there.

OK, I really gotta go...I'm going to be late (again!).

Heather - fab videos! Our home movies never look like that:rolleyes1 - ERM - That came out wrong so no funny remarks Jeff!

I think I might be brave enough to do the dolphins - it doesnt look like they get that close too often - I think I'll skip the dolphin kiss though:scared: - its bad enough kissing Neil after he's eaten fish let alone a dolphin:lmao:

At least that way we are already at a beach and the taxi return means we can come back when we want rather than when Disney say so.

Roughly how long are you in the water with them for?

Dave looks like fun - he's as obsessed with apple pie as I am with cheesecake:rotfl:

By the way - I get it now - GOS - Grumpy old sod!:rotfl:

Spencer, my son, Alex, will be 1 month from 8 yrs old, so I think he will join the kids in the Lab for this cruise. You know, there is a kids' thread where you can see who is going. I don't know what the link is because my kids don't know about the cruise yet, so they haven't posted on it. I'm sure someone will chime in to let you know how to get to that thread.

Hi there - Does anyone know the link to the Kids Thread - my 3 kids would love to chat - Avery (5), Spencer (8) and Vanessa (just turned 15).

Thanks
Jessalynn

Anyone doing the pirate encounter at Grand Cayman? I think it looks cool for the kids (and big kids;) ) - I'm hoping for some good looking Jack Sparrow types. I hope theres spaces by the 75 day mark.

Its all you repeat cruisers and concierge types - not jealous - honest;)

If we were going, I think we'd be doing this one. DS is big into pirates.

We did a pirate sailing in Clearwater, FL one year (DS was 3 1/2) and he loved it.

Still thinking I need to recruit him to help sell Suz on this cruise.

What about the Chankanaab (sp) dolphin thing? I'm scared but its for 3 years and up so it cant be that scary! - anyone done it? do you just let them swim around you and they touch your legs as they go by etc? Ellis said he quite fancies it so I might be brave enough - at least its not fish:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: - no way could I do it with fish - ewk:scared:

What would happen if I backed out last minute? Do you all go on the platform together? or is it a few at a time?

Again, if we were to go, we would be going to Chakanaab but only for the beach and some snorkeling. We wouldn't do the dolphins. I'm cheap, I won't drop the $ on it.

Definately doing our own thing in Key West - pirate museum, maybe hire an electric car, and wander round the shops and a nice restaurant.

Castaway - fancied parasailing but Ellis is too young:sad2: - kids have to be 8. I fancied the island tour but its 2 hours - bit too long for me cos you have to be back onboard by 4ish?

Can you tell I've been trawling the disney cruise website:rotfl2:

Since we were just there, if we were to go, we'd be doing the Truman whitehouse and then a little bit of shopping and then back on the boat for some swimming.

We did all the touristy stuff in January.

On CC, DS says he'll try the stingrays. He went in the water in GC in Jan, took the picture and then got out. He says he'd be more comfortable at CC.

Geez Karen, we are doing practically the same things, both have sons the same age, and are on early dining. If I ever convince Suz to go on this thing, we should link ressies for dinner. I don't think we order anything with nuts (tried the macadamia nut fish once, didn't like it), so we should be good.

Which team are you going to try to watch? For what it's worth, I'd suggest going for a National League team (Dodgers, Padres, or Giants) because the American League style of baseball is deadly slow and boring (that would be Anaheim or Oakland).

Amen to that.

The Brewers' game yesterday was only 2 hr 11 min. Gotta love that.

I remember when they were in the AL, the games would go over 3 hours for sure.

Jeff - I'm still in cabin 5139 - no upgrade for me showing on the website:sad1:

I thought it would be too early for upgrades. Usually happens within 45 days.

Someone must have snatched up a lot of the rooms. This makes upgrades later very difficult.

If you really want that window, I still hold the SPH Cat 10. Once Suz drops the gavel down and says we're not going for sure or we book our tickets to CA, I will be releasing it.

Brenda - initially I thought - "oh oh,cant go to that then - peanut butter and jelly meet":sad1: ....yeah! - can make a Brenda, Plankton and Jason meet though:banana: - let me know what day you're thinking of and I'll try to work our schedule around it.

I initially thought she was talking about Peanut Butter and Jelly too.

Thought they were really cutting down on expenses for that trip. :rotfl2: Go to the F&W Festival and eat PB&J. That would make for a good food/trip report. :lmao:

Jessalynn,

Here is the link to that thread.

Your kids are at the perfect age for this cruise. I know Linda's daughter is 5ish, there are a few boys around 7-8, and 3 or 4 girls in the 13-15 range.

Jeff

Hey, why do you keep saying I'm the one who makes those comments?!

O.K., yes I do.

Stop putting those qualifiers in there so I can make the comments. You're taking all my fun away.

O.K. are you all sick of reading post from me (I think this is the 9th in a row)?

I'll stop now and check back later.

Have a good day everyone.

Thanks for the info about the kids board - i will get them on it tonight

I am personally trying to read through this board - I think it will take be a while. I started yesterday and am up to about page 14.

This cruise sounds like it will be a lot of fun. This is our first Disney Cruise but we have been to WDW 3 times. I thought I was big on organizing but I pale in comparison to you guys (LOL)

We are from Markham Ontario Canada (near Toronto).

Talk to you once I am caught up on the board info in a couple of weeks

Jessalynn, my 3 kids are Emily (14 next month), Derek (nearly 12 when we cruise) and Alex (nearly 8 when we cruise). They don't know about the cruise yet, but will probably check out the kids thread when we surprise them. My Emily will be glad that there will be another teen girl on this cruise. On our last DCL cruise she had just turned 13, so felt a little shy about the teen club (I was glad--as there is a huge difference between 13 and 17 year olds). This time she will be 14 1/2 and in high school, so I think she will be more willing to check it out. And after getting to know the other girls on the thread, I'm sure it'll be that much easier. I never worry about my younger two kids, as they have no idea about "making an impression" and making friends as teens do. They just go into the clubs, say, "Hi what's your name?" and they're off!

Anyway, :welcome: to you and your family.

Paige, that school system schedule sounds convenient. Sounds like you could schedule some family vacation times during some not-so-peak travel times.

Tina

Tina, yes the schedule is great for travelling. Unfortunately, my DH is in school, too, and his schedule is not like the kids, so we haven't been able to take advantage of it. But for people who live here and have "real jobs" I am sure it is great!

Hey, another Canadian. Cass, you're no longer alone.

Good luck on your reading. There are a lot of pages you could probably just skim. Some people on this board thought it was funny to steal a whole page for themselves and just put posts up with no meaning. Man, some people. :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

 Do it  Do it  Do it:banana:

Tell Suz I'll put 2 Ripples in her dis tag bag - thats bound to change her mind:rotfl:

Come on Jeff - get you and your son working on her - put on your "oh but Suz ...we really wanna go" faces and she's bound to cave in. You'll be missing out on our sparkling conversation and witty repartit (cant even spell it!):lmao:

Karen, we're thinking about the Pirate encounter. We're also thinking about the stingrays. Who knows?

As for Key West--we are going on our own. I think we will do the Pirate Soul place, the butterfly place, Southernmost point, and Mallory Square.

Still unsure about Cozumel--probably one of the beaches with the iceberg and trampoline thingys.......oh and I want to do ruins, but not the all day tour.

Finally, tell Ellis GREAT VOLCANO!! He must've had a smile ear to ear while he was doing it.

Can anyone tell me the date for booking excursions for repeat cruisers? I keep forgetting.
