October 2013 Code Watch?!

OK so the Guest Service Specialist called me back and said that after reviewing everything he was going to honor the offer and was going to add the free dining to my reservation, saving me a total of 2033.00.... WHEW!!! That felt amazing!!! Oct 18-28 here we come....

Congrats! I bet that was a great feeling when you got that call! I'm still hoping and praying for FD for that week as well. Your post gives me hope!

I may have gotten the same thing...mine doesn't actually list a percent off, but there is a code and it gives an example of $712 per adult for 6 nights/7 days at select Value resorts for dates 10/1-10/10 and 10/14-10/31. I've emailed my travel agent to see if this can save us anything on our trip 10/6-10/15.

Who was the email from? I would love to find this in my spam folder as these are the dates we are going and are booked at full price.

That sounds like an advertisement with a 3 digit code, not a discount with a 15 digit PIN number. If it is a 3 digit code, it is not a savings, unfortunately.

Yeah, it ended up being useless for me, but the rep made it sound likely that something would come available for my dates even though Columbus day is included in them. A discount would be nice but it isn't going to make or break my trip.

I got it snail mail, and yes, that was the case. TA said it's just a gimmick to get bookings, you don't actually save anything with those 3 digit ones.

I really, really, really want to take the kids to the Halloween party - we've wanted to go for years. This will be our last chance to pull the kids out of school (DS will be in fifth grade - we won't pull him out of middle school).

I get some deals through the Disney VISA but so far none of those have been for October. I plan to book things this week but would love to be able to call back and apply a discount so that the trip doesn't stretch us too much.

My dad got the free dining pin in his email last night. I was able to call and add it to my reservation by saying he lives at my address. We have the same name and he was not going to use it. The first CM I called said I couldn't use it but the second CM I got added it no problem. Just a heads up if someone runs into the same situation!

The pin codes are mailed or emailed to random recipients. You cannot just get one, you have to hope they send you one. You can also call 1-407-WDisney to see if you have one linked to your account. If not you play the waiting game. Keep watching for one and hope it goes out to the public eventually. Good luck!!!!

Keep calling too. I never received an e-mail or snail mail. I called twice and on the 2nd call I got FD.

No it was a percent off a room at a value resort. I think 30 percent.

This is exciting, gives me hope that we could get a pin for room only.

You need to call your agent and let him or her know you have a pin code and they will have it applied to your reservation.

ok..I did a little searching and went back 3 years just to be curious about the free dining offers from 2010 to present and noticed that the fd pin this yr stops on Oct 2nd and then starts on Oct 18th but previous years general public fd always stopped on the thurs before Columbus day. Just curious what everyone thinks about this years fd for October. Do you think the general public offer will extend to the week before Columbus day since it has for the last several years?? Really hoping it does cause we have a chk in date of Oct 6th..I may be able to move it back a day or 2 but could not move it to Oct 2nd at all. Just being bored and really hoping general public offer is later than Oct 2nd..lol a girl can dream cant she.
