October 2013 Code Watch?!

My sister who hasn't been to WDW in 3 yrs, got a FD pin code last Friday. She is going with me and 2 other adult family members for our Oct 3-9 trip, but of course the ending date for the pin code was 10/2!! We are locked into those dates and can't change them and we have our plane tickets which we got for a steal. I took a chance and called the airline, United, to see if we could change our flights to Oct 2nd. Well, leaving on the 2nd would cost more in airline fare and they would charge us $150 each to change our dates. That figured out to over $1000 increase in our airfare alone so that would pretty much wipe out any savings FD might make....we are all still looking forward to our trip, even without any discounts:cool1::cool1::cool1:

What are your dates? We will be at POP Oct. 18-26. We are doing MNSSHP on the 22nd. :goodvibes

We are booked same dates, staying at CBR this year. It's been 2 years since our renewal at the Poly so I am super excited! Spur of the moment...our 8 yo was wearing his Mickey Christmas ears and reminiscing.....guilted into a surprise bday trip for both kids......6 years and 1 week apart!

No pin here either. I convinced myself to stop calling yesterday but then broke down and called this evening...lol. Disney pin codes may push me over the edge. My DH wonders why I am so worked up, we are going to Disney and he is paying :lmao:

My BFF who we are going to WDW in October just received a FD pin #. We were both able to use it and it saved me and my DH $1000! This will be the best 10th anniversary trip ever.

That is fantastic! Happy Anniversary!!!!

A co-worker got the free dining pin email and it DOES say:

"Enjoy a FREE dining plan* when you purchase a non-discounted 5-night/5-day Walt Disney World Travel Company room and ticket package at select Walt Disney World Resort hotels!"

All WDW free dining promos have a 3 night minimum and a 14 day maximum booking. Any other verbiage you see in advertising or emails or on the website is strictly for promotional purposes.

I wouldn't argue except this email doesn't say "example stay"....she called they said the MINIMUM is 5 & 5

It works for less. The CM is likely looking at the same wording as the email. People have booked it for less. Tell them to price it out online through the link in the email.

Does anyone know why such a gap between Oct 2nd and 19th. I booked our trip for the 5th figuring the blackout period wouldnt start till the following week.:(

They are most definitely wrong. I got the pin and you can book for 3 nights. Every FD promo since 2005 has had a 3 night minimum booking requirement.

They moved the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror 10-Miler Weekend to now have the race on Saturday, Oct. 5th (has been in September in previous years), so that might be one reason why? :confused3

YAY!! You got the PIN!!!!:cool1::cool1: Woohoo! Can you now sprinkle the rest of us with some pixie dust, pretty please :) I am keeping my sanity though going by your wisdom as you were so spot on with the FD pin! I have my fingers crossed that it will drop to a GP deal so that I can get it too. Congrats again on getting this one :)
