October 2013 CANCELLED ADR Thread - Read 1st Post

This may not be the right thread for it, but does anyone know if there is a way to increase the number of people on your ADR without releasing it and rebooking? I have had some add-ons to our party, and I need more seats!

You could try calling - I don't believe there is any way to do this online. I have seen others suggest just showing up with fewer people if you need to drop one as well as if you need to add only one. I'd be a bit wary myself of being turned away if we had extra people. Interested to hear what others suggest.
Updated to add: I suppose if you couldn't add to an existing then making a second ADR could be an option. Depends how important it is for all of.you to sit together.

yeah just call and tell them you have a change in # of party. ive done this a couple of times

Let me see if I can explain. No, there is not a waiting list for restaurants. It *is* in fact first come, first served for reservations. The hope with this thread is that if someone posts a cancellation, a person looking for the same thing can coordinate with that person. Person A tells person B when he/she is going to cancel. Person B tries to call/online reserve at the exact time Person A is cancelling (with hopes that then Person B is first in line at that exact time). Does that make any sense? I will try to answer questions if you need clarification.

We Coordinated but I didn't get it. Oh well it wasn't meant to be. My next favorite date for this is Nov 2nd. Maybe I will get lucky.

I was able to get a better day/time for us, so I have a BOG for 10/3 at 6:40 for 4 people. It's pre-Halloween party, but if it works for you, let me know and I'll coordinate.

Also need to cancel The Plaza for 4 adults 10/3 at 5:30 PM

And Tony's Town Square for 2 adults 10/2 at 11:30 AM

Doubt there's much demand for these two, but I'll keep them for a day or two in case anyone wants them.
