***October 2012 Thread*** MNSSHP + Food & Wine - Does It Get Any Better?

Looks like October hours have changed some, MK is now open till 10 the week I am there on certain days and AK is now open till 6 on the weekends! I will take an extra hour any day, maybe they will add more as it gets closer!

I noticed the hours changed too. Only MK originally had EMH until midnight one night and it's now been changed to regular park closing at 10:00 and no EMH that night.

I wouldn't worry about the hours just yet. The TA calendar has not been updated since 6/15/12 and it is the most accurate Disney calendar. Much more reliable than the Disney website.

I know. I figure they will change a few more times between now and my trip!

Only one change seemed to effect my vacation and it was a day I was considering going to MK for PM EMH on a Sunday because it was open till Midnight and the new calender on the WDW website says it will be open until 1am!


I still can't figure out the best night to go to MNSSHP.

Either, Sept 30th (but that's our very first day and a Sunday), October 4th (a thursday) or Monday the 8th which is...Columbus day? But I'm thinking probably a good night for it!?!?

Woo hoo! I just got a lunch ressie for Le Cellier at 12:10 on 10/22 and an Ohana ressie for 8:00 pm on 10/26! It definitely pays to keep checking!

DH and I will be there Oct 21-27. Looking forward to MNSSHP ans F&W. Also traveling with us this trip will be my brother and his family. This is also the first trip for my niece (2) and nephew (4). After much resort switching we've settled on Cars suites at AoA. As of today I'm all paid up with 74 days to go.

A first for the Food & Wine!! We'll be there Oct. 2. This is my biggest party ever. Myself, Amy, Mike, Taylor, Brianna, Pat, Grandpa Pat, Blanche, Stephanie, Eric, Trena, Deb, Christian, Mary, Jeff, Morgan, Patrick, Bridget, & Grandma Lyman. We're hoping Auntie Kristina & Kevin will join us, but they're in college so it depends on classes.

ADR's at Kona Cafe, 50's Prime Time, and Cape May Cafe Breakfast.
And plenty stops along the F&W festival.
Waiting on discount codes for Oct. to be announced so no resort yet, but it'll be a value resort.
It's been 3 years since my last trip there and am soon excited

Made all my ADR's with Character Breakfast at Crytal Palace, Ohana and Tusker House and a Character Dinner at Chef Mickey.
Other ressies are California Grill, Biergarten, Ohana for Dinner, 50's Prime Time, Boma, Whispering Canyon and Boatswright.
Also do Dine with an Imageneer and the Tomorrowland Terrace Firework Dessert Party and have Tickets for MNSSHP and two guided tours.

We have the DDP and guess we will snack around the F&W

We're Going!! We thought we weren't going to go in October but we are ... we can't help it cause of the free dining!
This will be our first experience for the Food & Wine festival, as well as MNSSHP! We've also never stayed at POR, but it was the only one available we liked for the dates. We were REALLY wanting POFQ, since that's our favorite resort ^_^ We'll be calling Disney every week to see if there's any openings for the Royal Rooms though! Yay!

Printed off the list of booths and menus for the F&W Festival. Getting so excited and wondering how early is too early to pack. Thankfully we still have plenty of warm weather left, so I don't want to pack summer clothes quite yet.
