***October 2012 Thread*** MNSSHP + Food & Wine - Does It Get Any Better?

I've been looking over (and over, and over...) my possible schedule. ADRs made, Flights and rooms too.

10/12- Arrive Old Key West, settle in a bit and hit DTD. Pick up Y.E.S./park tickets and play around at Disney Quest.

10/13- AK full day? Dinner at RF. Back to resort.

10/14- MK finishing with HS? Want to hit Dance Party this night.

10/15- Epcot and Akershus breakfast.

10/16- Open poss. Typhoon Lagoon and who knows!

10/17- MK- would love to eat at Be Our Guest. Maybe CS will be ready by then. Fireworks.

I'm sure I'll change this a few times in the next 5 months, but at least I have the ADRs done, and will use that to help figure where we will be! I like to have a basic plan but not be stressed if we need to change it up last minute!

Not using DDP this trip. I love it but want to try it on my own, and not have to have as strict a timeline to follow. Will see if it saves much. Of course if it were free and I didn't have a DVC ressie I'd be all over that DDP!

10/18- Epcot day. DTD- T Rex dinner.

10/19- HS YES class am. (DH and DGS!!) DGD5 and I will check out of OKW and into POFQ for last night). Meet up at HS for Sci-Fi lunch and park time.

10/20- Check out day- play at POFQ pool till check out?

As for MNSSHP nights, you can pretty much figure those out by checking park hours and on the nights that MK closes at 7pm, you can safely guess that will be a party night.

Tomorrow we get to officially start making ADRs! And the one that's generally hardest to get (Garden Grill) is on our first day so hopefully we can manage to get it early. Otherwise we'll just have to stalk the page waiting for a spot to free up.

Made my ADRs this morning! is it bad i was dreaming about making them all night.

We got everything we wanted except T-Rex we either had to do 4pm or 9pm ugh so i chose 4pm hopefully we will be finished with AK by 3pm

Hi! Glad you got all your ADRs today .. just wondered, have you phoned T-Rex directly? ((407) 828-TREX (8739)) - I've heard that they don't give Disney all of the ADR times for the website, only 4pm and 9pm.. so you might get a better time if you call

Made my ADRs this morning!

I call and had no wait! I couldn't believe it!

We got everything we wanted except the Fantasmic package couldn't be booked and Raglan Road hadn't released their seats yet. I'll call back in a few days for those.

Everything seems so real now!!

Yes, Disney would need to make official announcement and we're surprised it hasn't happened yet since we were hearing May 1 sale date, which is Tuesday. I never expect Disney announcements over the weekend, so that could mean they'll post the dates tomorrow and start selling Tuesday or maybe they push the sale date back a couple days to May 2 or 3 even.

Today was my ADR day, too, but we don't do any sit down meals. I did book surprise makeovers at PL. I booked the Jake package for DS and the mermaid package for DD. Booked for 10/29 @ 9:20am. Our plan will be to hop over to DHS afterwards to get pics with Jake, and then hop back to MK in plenty of time for the kids to do the pirate parade and evening EMH. So excited!!!! Now I just have to keep it a secret for the next 182 days or so.

Thanks i did call they open at 8am got the time i wanted yeah! that is too funny how they just don't give up the times and for some reason WCC didn't release their hours yet. so i have to call back or try online later and see if i can get it for lunch.

keeping the secret is the hardest part!

we keep debating when we will tell the kids were are going i already made it 6months i don't know how much longer i can last. hopefully a few months. This will be the kids first trip ever to Disney! i know they will be so excited when we tell them.

Has anyone here ever done the Backstage Magic tour? I booked it on Monday, October 8. My problem is this. I also did an ADR for Garden Grill at 6:45 for dinner that day. I'm wondering where the tour ends and/or would be make it back to Epcot in time for dinner at 6:45? Or should I just go ahead and change my ADR for another evening?

We did backstage magic a couple of years ago and we were back between 4 & 5. You should have plenty of time.

It's been a bit since I posted but came back to see if anyone had any news on MNSSHP? I am taking my triplets that will turn 14 while we are in Disney from Oct 12-21, staying at Disney's All-Star Movie Resort. The wait is killing us! Made all of our ADR last week, trip and flight are paid for, tickets and Oct 12th is all we are waiting on! I'll keep checking back to see if anyone has heard anything.

That is so sweet! I don't have any kids, but I remember the feeling of my mom picking me up for some unexpected fun. Your daughter is going to be so thrilled!
