It's been two years since our last trip and we're over due for some Mickey fun!![]()
Hi All! I haven't been on here in a while, but I've been lurking.
I made some of our ADR's this morning and we're so excited! Some will have to wait until we have other plans in place. We want to do a couple of tours, and if we don't get the dates/times we want, we'll have to move ADR's around. I'm hoping to book the Africa Trek this next Friday. Fingers crossed for Sunday morning October 7. Then we plan to meet up with SafetyPindSally for lunch at Yak & Yeti. Did I say we're excited! But so far we have:
10/04 arrive before Noon, check in, eat at the resort, go to DTD for some window shopping, and then Boatwrights for Dinner
10/05 DD is having her Senior Picture done by Disney Fine Art Photography at 9:00 a.m., then over to HS for Dining with an Imagineer for lunch at The Brown Derby. This is a special treat for DD. Dinner is still up on the air.
10/06 Lunch at Tony's Town Square
10/07 Africa Trek tour (hopefully) then lunch at Yak & Yeti.
10/08 Backstage Magic tour (hopefully) Dinner at Garden Grill
10/09 Dinner at Rose & Crown
10/10 Undiscovered Future World tour (hopefully) Dinner at Nine Dragons
10/11 MNSSHP - this whole day is up on the air, but we do plan on sleeping in because we're going to the party that nite.
10/12 No plans - another day up in the air
10/13 Back to DTD to pick up what we want at the shops and eat somewhere (undecided) special for lunch.
How's all that? Any suggestions?
Hi can you give me more details on Disney Fine Art Photography. We are celebrating my daughter's high school graduation on this trip.![]()
Hi! Here is the link. www.disneyeventphotography.com
I think any information you might need is at the site. I reserved them back in March. Date, time, and $25 deposit. The balance is due at the time of the shoot. My friends seems to think having DD's senior picture done at Disney World is over the top, but it won't cost any more than having it professionally done here at home, and I think having it done at her favorite place on earth makes it even that more special.
Congrats to your daughter!

That's a great idea for your DD's senior picturewill the shoot be at your resort?
The cd of pictures was available the next day from the Photopass desk at our resort (Grand Floridian) - here are a couple of the pictures..

Your pictures are just wonderful. Especially the one in the middle. It's so sweet.![]()
Congratulations right back at ya!![]()
IMHO, there is nothing like celebrating our anniversary in WDW. We visit Disney or cruise every 2 years and it's always around our anniversary, which is on Halloween! This will be our first time doing the MNSSHP. Have you done this before? I am so excited about the parade!!!
That sounds exactly like us! Though it wasn't until our fourth trip that I finally found a good pair of shoes, every other trip involved blisters on blisters. My new thing that I'm being neurotic over is shoes...making sure I get a comfortable pair for walking 8 hours a day.
It's funny, on the last trip I was just like "Disney World? Sweet, let's go." without a care in the world.
This time I've overanalyzing everything.
We're booked for Columbus Day week, our 30th anniversary, but Grandpa is very ill. Will likely have to cancel our trip. We're at our 180 day mark, and wonder if I should go ahead and make ADRs. Haven't planned anything yet as I've been primary caregiver last couple of weeks. Don't have to pay balance of package until August, and will definitely get insurance, if available, but worried about being charged for ressies made that may have to cancel. Not to bum you guys out, but we are on Deluxe Dining Plan, want to do lots of signatures, special events like Fantasmic and Luau, and character dining. Talking about probably mostly credit card guarantee meals. Any advice on whether I should go through the trouble now to make ressies, or just wait a few months to see how Grandpa is doing and then just take what's available? If can't get ressies we want at that point, will likely lower the dining plan, or even go a la cart. We're staying at Contemporary, Park View, and want to keep that, no matter what, but really don't want to be OOP for meals, as we want to not feel guilty ordering what we want. Also want lots of snack credits to use at Epcot Festival. Not doing Mickey's Halloween, as we're in our 50s and going without kids. But Hubbie loves Fireworks, so want to see fireworks as much as possible! Hoping to even do some fireworks cruises if we can find space.
Thanks for any advice, input, suggestions!

Reservations made! Ended up making them at 7am CDT. Some of these are not hard to get, but with a party of 9 I wanted ADR for all sit down we plan to do.
We got O'Hana for breakfast, Liberty Tree Tavern for dinner, Sci Fi for dinner, Via Napoli for Friday Night dinner.
Only other TS we are planning on is Y&Y, but just for 3 people.
Congrats! Wow, 7am? I didn't know they had reservations available that early.
