***October 2012 Thread*** MNSSHP + Food & Wine - Does It Get Any Better?

What time can you make your reservations online? I think it's 6:00 am eastern time. I'm in Texas so will I be waking up at 5:00 am to make ressies!?!?!?!?

Yes Steph.. You need to make reservations at 5am central time. I set my clock last year for 4:45 am to get my cup of coffee and get ready to make my adrs. Then waited for 6 am to book the fantasmic dinner package.

So here's a dumb question that i didn't think deserved an entire thread.

We're buying our airline tickets separately from Disney...where do I add my flight information for Magical Express? I don't see it anywhere on the reservation site.

So I'm hearing HDDR will be down for refurb in October but I can't find it anywhere on the wdwinfo site or All Ears? I was going to make an ADR there for my birthday but I guess I'll stick with Jiko now. Bummer.

So not only have I been busy planning our October WDW trip, but we are heading to my in-laws for thanksgiving in northern Cali with a 3 night stay in Vegas on the way out. The nice thing with having two completely different trips to plan is the excitement/anxiety factor is spread out. Also, since we are driving down for our WDW vacation, we have decided to stay over at a B&B in St. Augustine on the way down. Those are the only accommodations I haven't booked yet. Does anyone have any B&B recommendations by any chance? :)

YAY! Today is my 180 ADR day! There was some drama with my CC (my own fault for not paying attention) but it was all worked out in time for me to make all my ADRs. I made them at 10:10am this morning!

09/29 n/a (was gonna do trex but only gave me 10pm as option! :scared1: lol!)
09/30 n/a (first day at MK...gonna have no plan!)
10/01 OHANA 6:35 pm
10/02 Sci-fi Dine In Theater 12:50pm
10/03 Crystal Palace 8:10am (before park opens!!! yay!)
10/04 Rainforest Cafe 5:30pm
10/05 1900 Park Fare 6:35pm
10/06 Planet Hollywood 12:15pm
10/07 T-Rex 4pm
10/08 Le Cellier 6:50
10/09 Cinderella's Royal Table 12:55pm

:dance3::banana::cool1:

I'm so happy I don't have to worry about this anymore!

Next step.....finding flights!

Tomorrow is my 180 day and still plan on not making one ADR. I'm a little up tight but my husband says after F&W we won't want to eat. I'm on a new med. that has taken my appetite away so he is more right then me..... right now lol.

I've a bit of a dilemma, and hubby is no help... he's all, "Whatever you want to do is fine with me!"

My original plan was to do lunch at Le Cellier for our day at Epcot. We've never been here before and I'm hoping we can book this. But if for some reason we can't, Les Chefs is our backup. Or maybe Rose & Crown. Then our plan would be to sample F&W vendors for dinner (we can use a QS credit if needed)

OR…

if we can't get Le Cellier for lunch, maybe we should save our TS for dinner??? We could sample the F&W vendors for lunch (still use a QS meal if needed) If we went this route, I'm thinking we'd do dinner at Rose & Crown. That way we can ask for patio seating in hopes to watch IllumiNations from our table. Ooooo, or maybe a romantic dinner for two at San Angel Inn.

I guess it all depends on whether we can get the lunch ADR for Le Cellier. What would you do? If not able to book Le Cellier for lunch, would you do lunch elsewhere or save your TS for dinner? Would sampling F& W vendors for lunch be better than doing so for dinner? :confused3

TIA!

I'm still hoping its just rumor!! Guess we will find out soon enough! Just no one tell my hubby till after our trip if it turns out to be true okay?? lol

My dh is the same - it's annoying, yet relaxing knowing I have all the planning freedom :rotfl2:

Just an FYI, to the best of my recollection, you cannot use QS credits for the F&WF booths, but you can sometimes use a snack credit for individual food items

The F&WF booths get much busier in the evenings than they are in the afternoons, generally - so, we're planning to eat lunch via grazing at the booths one day instead of booking a TS. If you want a TS that day, I would book a late dinner TS and do the booths for lunch :goodvibes

Have an awesome time!!! :flower3:

My DH is exactly the same level of unhelpful...sometimes I like that he is so relaxed and go-with-the-flow, but not when I really need his help with a decision.

I would totally go for F&W booths if you can't do Le Cellier. Then you can use those credits for a TS dinner, like you mentioned. There are so many great options for TS in Epcot!
