I received a PIN today for dates in October for 30% off at select Disney Resort hotels. I booked AoA already so I am really hoping I can get the rate. I don't see where it says it excludes it. I'm on the phone with a CM right now and she says the AoA is not showing as it's available with the PIN offer. I'm really upset since they opened it for free dining.

AFAIK, no one was able to book AOA rooms with the free dining promo.

They opened up AoA rooms for the current FD promo yesterday. Several posters have reported booking them.

Yes, several have stated that AoA was opened up for free dining and one even said she was able to book the free dining for a LM room. A CM gave me the option of adding it but said there weren't any LM rooms available so I would have had to book a suite. I get Florida resident tickets so I'm hoping to use a PIN for a room discount and buy the tickets separately to get the best discount.

I received yet another "Play in the Magic" code in the mail today. That makes a total of four of the same offer that I've already booked weeks ago. Sure wish a 30% or free dining would head this way instead!

Well I'm glad I was wrong. I'm sure a lot of people were happy to book AoA.

Joining in on the wait. We were hoping to go on Oct. 21-26 but historically those dates are blocked for free dining so changing to one week earlier Oct. 14- 20/ 21 - hoping to convince DH to add 1 night Don't like the frenzy free dining causes but love the discount!

Actually last years free dining for October was 1-6 and Oct 22-Nov 3. Of course, you never know what they'll do this year, if anything.

As mentioned, the free dining dates almost completely covered the time frame for your first set of dates above. I can tell you with 100% accuracy that the dates of Oct. 15-23, 2011 were not eligible for any discounts--no free dining and no room offers. I know this because those were our dates and we paid full price for room, tickets and QSDP.

Anything is possible, but you might prepare yourself to return to the original dates that you wanted.

My TA advised me today that my current free Quick Dining PIN would not work at AofA.

We have six months till our trip, so maybe something will change between now and then.

We were wanting to go the week of the 14th too. Kind of afraid to book the plane tickets if that week is historically blacked out for discounts. Ugh, the waiting and wondering is no fun!

I picked this week hoping for FD as well. I'm a bit worried now... Disney may black this week out since the Gartner Symposium is being held at Disney from Oct 21 to Oct 25.

It really is the only week that works for us so free dining would just be a bonus. I wonder if the Symposium will really be much of an issue though. Doesn't it usually effect mainly the Boardwalk area and not much else of WDW?

Sorry I don't have time to read through 33 pages of responses, so how do I get a pin code or other discount codes? We are planning October 22/23 - October 29/30 or something very close to those dates. Thanks for your input!

Update: I did read through some information on pin codes and understand they're sent out via email or snail mail and seemingly random. I called and asked if there was a pin attached to our account and she said "no". 5 night 6 day staying at the All Star Sports resort was just over $1,900 with quick service dining. I think I'll wait for some deals to come out.

OK need to figuer this out or get some educated guesses. I have some airline credits that will expire if not booked by May 27. We had planned on booking Disney Oct. 21-28. Then we hear about FD and things look good. Unfortunately the possible blackout is near the same time. The Gartner Symposium thing is 21-25 and that is usually blacked out. Last year the FD started Oct. 22nd. Getting dissy yet, me too. Any thoughts, should we continue with the 21-28 or bump it to 20th?

Yep, I've got two offers saved and just ordered the DVD this morning, though I've ordered it before and never received a pin. I know it's hit and miss, but hopefully there will be a free dining offer for my dates. One can hope!

Im also hopping for FD. I think with the halloween party, I think we are all out of luck. We are staying at the new Art of Animation and i saw were there is a discount but the discount is for stays in June
