I finally received my PIN offer yesterday.
80 per night at value
140 moderate
264 at only disney animal kingdom or wilderness

while it does not do much at the moderate it worked great with the value and made some of the nights lower.

Not what I was looking for but good enough to book on until something else comes out.

We decided to do October 26-11/5

it will be DH and DS 2nd trip and DS will be turning 10 while we are down there so that is most important.

I would totally take that over the pin I got! I got 30% off and have to travel by the middle of August which just doesn't work for us! Still hoping some kind of discount will become available for us for October!

Did you try? I've heard of cases where the pin works for days that it isn't supposed to. I'd call and try to book with that pin for the days you want. The worst thing that could happen is they say no.

People get them at various times. I think I got that one, or something close to it back in early February. Since the PIN's are assigned individually and can't be shared, anyone can get one at any time.

As SaberJ stated, definitely try to call and see if it can work for your dates. The PINs that I've received have stated October, yet when I called and spoke to a CM he told me they were actually valid for more than just those dates.

I received a "Play in the Magic" PIN yesterday. A whole 16% off Value Resorts and have to buy Park Hoppers and Water Park Fun & More tickets. We do the hoppers but I'm not into the water parks or the "more". Not a savings for us. Still hoping for Free Dining or 30% off. Keeping my fingers and toes crossed!

We aren't planning on going to WDW this year but if we get a discount we might go. I called today to see if I had any pin codes attached to my name and I didn't. The CM I spoke to ("Ruby Rose") was very nice and she really searched for me. She asked the names of the other people in my household and even checked both the formal (Debra) and informal (Debbie) version of my name. She asked when we'd visit and I told her October. She said October discounts aren't out yet and to check later.

Oh well. At least I tried!

Update on my "Play in the Magic" PIN code. Turns out that by using the PIN, you get the Park Hoppers and Water Park Fun & More for the price of a base ticket so we'll be saving the price of the Hoppers for all of us and get a bonus of the WPF&M if we decide to go that route. Went ahead and booked the package but still would love the Free Dining again.

That time frame is usually excluded from the free dining promotion, and last year, there were no room offers either. We were there Oct 15-23 and paid rack rate for EVERYTHING.

Last year it was blacked out for free dining. I think it started back up on October 22nd.

Last year free dining for October was Oct 1 – 6 and Oct 22 – Nov 3 so it certainly is possible.

Oh, that stinks. That's the time frame we are looking at this year. I guess we do have AAA so we could maybe get a small room discount if nothing else comes out. Bummer though!

If you know you're going to do it, I would book now with the AAA just to make sure you don't miss out on that one and then if a code or discount comes out, they can always rebook. I booked through my AAA TA back in January and have sent her 3 separate PINs that I've gotten and she has had no problem applying them for me.

There are only so many rooms allotted for the AAA discount also, so you don't want to miss out on that if you know your dates are set.
