I know I have been MIA for weeks, but I thought I would update my info. Our dates are now arriving on 10/28 (was 10/29) and leaving 11/4. We are sooo excited for 7 nights at the happiest place on earth

We're going!! Just got us tickets and booked us 10/28 at PP! First time staying on property - I am excited! We are also going to Mickey's Halloween Party on 10/28!

I have added you to the list in the first post. You will love staying on property.

So, I've added one more night for my stay!! I'll be at the PPH for one night (10/4). Paula/smile4stamps will be there with me.

HI!

New to DISboards! Husband, kids ages 2 & 4, & myself going to Disneyland this Oct. for Halloweentime, the 17th-21st. Will be at Mickey's Halloween Party on Tues, Oct. 18th. CANNOT WAIT!!! Went last yr & it was such a blast! Bummed that Pirates will be down tho... Staying at the Days Inn & Suites Garden Grove.

SERIOUSLY considering upgrading our 3 Day Pk Hoppers to AP's when we go. But have a question--if someone could please answer, I'd truly appreciate it.

If we purchase Deluxe AP's for me and my son and purchase a Premium for my husband, we won't have to pay parking b/c parking is included w/his Premium AP, correct? And when we're dining, if he pays, will the Premium AP discount be applied to the entire bill, even if the rest of us are only Deluxe AP holders??

I can answer your questions. Your husband's AP dining discount to applied to the entire bill. We have a premium for myself and the rest of us have the deluxe AP and have had no trouble with receiving the dining discount when we eat at DLR. As for parking, as long as your husband is in the car with you, you don't have to pay for parking. There was a time where all the members of my family had premium APs. Whenever one of my DD was invited to DL with one of her friends, her premium AP enabled her friend's family to receive the free parking. They only looked to be sure she was the actual card holder.

Me, DH, DD (7), DS (4) and my mom; Oct. 16 - 18 in the parks (with a halloween party!) and then a day at the beach on the 19th before the LONG drive back home to Utah. Staying at the Cortona Inn & Suites for the disneyland portion of the trip, and somewhere else near the beach for the last day.

I have added you, too. You should have a great SoCal vacation, especailly at DLR.

We had originally planned to go for my 40th birthday, but a family reunion in August (and the related travel expenses) wiped out that plan. But today we found a way to take a quick trip down there so we could still celebrate my birthday in Disneyland Halloween style!

We'll be in the park on Oct. 8, staying at the Ramada Limited Maingate North.

Your dates are added. No better place to celebrate a birthday than DLR. I bet it will be one of your best.

I am going with my husband, mother, daughter and her boyfriend from Oct. 11-18. We are staying at HoJo. We are attending the Halloween party on the 11th.

I discovered some HORRIBLE reviews for our hotel (never stayed there before), so we may be switching! Thinking about the Holiday Inn Express on Katella, but we haven't booked it yet.

Anything else in the area that isn't scary and still has rooms for under $99 next weekend?

Edited to add: We cancelled the Ramada Maingate North booking and booked Holiday Inn Express. They're a little more expensive, but they have a free full breakfast that will help us save some time in the mornings & will average out in cost.

I have changed your hotel. The breakfast will save you time which is worth every penny. I don't think you will regret it.

I was absolutely blown away by Haunted Mansion Holiday and was even brave enough to ride Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy and loved it.I Had a bad experience on Space Mountain at WDW a few years ago and had not done it since

Sitting on the plane now. Kids were surprised as could be when we told them where we were going so early in the am.

So far the train between terminals was a HUGE hit because it was "just like Umi Zoomi!"

Take off was another hit. However the flight not so much. Even 2.25 hrs is "forever too long.". Son #1 is now asleep, as is DH. Son #2 had a horrid potty accident in the lavatory.

Another 45 mins to go!

Oh and at least one other family on board headed to DL.

Thanks for posting! I so enjoy folks from the list checking in from time to time. I am so happy to learn that you are lovin' Halloween Time. It is one of the best times of the year to visit Disneyland.
