We are going! Not sure of the dates yet. We want to definitely go to the Halloween Party. We are HUGE Halloween fans in general and have never been to Disney in October or for Halloween, so we are SO excited!

You will love Halloween Time at DLR then. Make sure you read the Halloween at DLR Superthread . There is lots of information on Halloween Time and great pictures, too.

We hammered down our dates...16th-20th. May add a day or two. We reserved a family suite at Desert Inn and Suites. We are hoping to take a nephew, so we will have 6 kids with us and this would work out well.

Your dates and lodging are added to the list in the first post. I have stayed at the Desert Inn and Suites, but it was a long time ago. I did like staying there, and it is so close to DL. With 6 kids, you will need the family suite. Sounds like a great time for all.

We tried Desert Inn for the first time a couple of weeks ago. While it isn't as nice as the Hojo, it was SO much closer. It will work out fine in October. I just hope the weather isn't so nice that the kids could have taken advantage of the Hojo pools.

So I've obssesively checking/researching evrything about the trip - when I noticed that HOJO has us for 5 nights instead of 4. I had read somewhere here that this glitch was happening to ressies booked when the new rates came out but I did not notice it then.

I told my friend who is going with us (yep, our party went from 3ppl to 7) and she just smiled and said it was a sign we should stay for 5 nights.....so our dates changed, we are now going 23rd-28th

Tzeitel, I have changed the dates of your trip. I would have interpreted the reservation glitch the same way as your friend . Yeah, another day at DL! Any excuse will do.

We will be there for some of the same days as your trip. Right now we are staying at the Marriot Anaheim October 27 to the 29th, but I hope to change it to the VGC in March.

Yeah that's what happened to my HoJo reservation as well! I selected check out on the 17th and it put me as checking out on the 18th...so I just took it as a sign that I needed an extra day

I love October/Halloween already, Disney just makes it more fun. However, I already have plans for a Disney Halloween trip. It's our 1st WDW trip!!! I'm already on there two October check in threads, but they aren't as fun as the DL threads. I'll be following along. I love looking at the pictures, seeing, the plans, whos going to the parties and what they are wearing.

Thats something we'll have in common. What's everyone going to be at the Halloween parties? Are you doing a group theme? Just a silly shirt (this is my costume, now give me ur chocolate!!)?

Your first WDW trip! October is a good time to go. We have gone to WDW several times, and liked our Oct 2006 trip the best. You will love how slow the parks are in Oct. The only ride that had an outrageous line was Soarin' (200 minute wait and all the FP were issued by 11 am). Even the Mt Everest ride had no lines, and it had just opened in April 2006. I just thought it was because it was a new ride in 2006, but it is still a very popular ride. Also when you go to MNSSHP, make sure you see the parade. It was so good, we skipped the fireworks to see it again.

We usually go in January but this year planning for October 16 - 22 staying at Howard Johnson's.
Very excited to see Disneyland decorated for Halloween, first time for us.

Just nailed down our dates! Oct. 20th-23rd staying at Hojo. We're planning on attending the Halloween party so unless they change the dates that the parties fall on, these will be our for sure dates.

Just reserved our first night Oct 1 at the beginning of the trip, so we will be staying at VGC for the whole Oct 1-6 ... now to just resist the temptation to come in another day earlier ... already have a tentative reservation at Courtyard for Friday Sept 30 so we could do one more park day/spend more pool/resort time when at VGC. Oh the problems I create for myself by buying an AP!
