October 2011 Thread??

SOOO excited!! We are booked for Oct. 1-8!! My family's first ever Disney trip...I worked there 12 years ago...for a whole 6 months and can't WAIT to take my 2 kids and hubby! Is this a good time to go? We are running into Columbus weekend at the end and have heard to AVOID this time...I don't want the end of our vacation to be ruined by large crowds! Also, is it still pretty warm at the beginning of October? Have all of my ADR's set...don't want to lose them, but am considering changing to late October, especially if free dining is offered, it will save us an additional $150!

OT-How and where do I make a ticker and how do I get it to show up wherever I want it??
