October 2010 Anyone Else?

DH and I are planning on buying MHP for the 31st of Oct. We are trying to wait and see if my sis and her BF or my cuz and his GF will come. We have a 1 br booked at the VGC, but no one will commit to joining us. We even offered to stock the food for the trip. lol! DH is not sure if he wants to attend the MHP if it's just the two of us. He says he feels kinda weird being it's just us 2 adults and no kiddies.

Can't wait our first time in Disney for HALLOWEEN... GOING to MNSSHP on Nov 1st.. Trying to think of unique, fun customes for a family of 6... Dining planned: Chef Mickeys, 50's prime time, mama melrose, Cape May Cafe, Crystal Palace and Akershus Royal and Tusker House. Need one more to make, not sure yet, any SUGGESTIONS??? HAPPY PLANNING TO ALL

Where in Disneyland (California) are those restaurants located?
But if I had to choose, it would be the Crystal Palace. If I am going to be dressed up in a costume I rather be in the Magic Kingdom.

I think that goofinaround is going to WDW for Halloween, as Chef Mickey's, 50's prime time, and the other restaurants mentioned are in WDW. I think that this post should be switched to the WDW Holloweentime thread. We are all looking forward to visiting the parks at around Halloween time, and think that it was an honest mistake that was made.

We like to go to DL in October. My DD always gets a fall break and that tends to be the time we go. I love the weather at that time. Not too hot, not too cold...... perfect! I wasn't really even planning on going this year. We did the big WDW trip last October and I figured we would take this year off from going to DL......but I just can't stay away!!!

I kept looking at flights and finally found a pretty good deal with Southwest. So I booked it!!! We will be there Oct 12th - 16th. We will be staying a Best Western Park Place Inn. And I'm very excited....as always!!!

Crowds... My take on the crowds for Oct:

It's going to be busy... It's always busy...

The beginning is going to be busy with school breaks in neighboring states and "Gay Days". I think the best time will be middle to about the 26th and then it will pick up again for Halloween.

Weekdays of course will be better than the weekends, Tuesday MHP's will be than the others, but most likely attract for locals. (Might be the worst days traffic wise?? )

I think we just have to remember to enjoy ourselves and have fun!

JaxonsMom:I'm hoping the same thing. I'm thinking we'll be there long enough, it should be ok. The worst crowds we've seen in all our visits were during Spring Break one year. If we can get through that, we can get through any of it! Thanks again!

I Just bought my tickets to MHP on Oct 12th! Now I am oober obsessed with planning but with no more information coming out it is so discouraging!

Our family is flying in from Hawaii and will be in SoCal from October 1-8. We'll be staying at the Embassy Suites Anaheim South. Stayed there before and loved all the great "extras" they provide.

Thought we were the only ones on break from school, didn't know about Gay Days and the crowds that brings. But none of that will stop us from having a good time. Will do GK for breakfast and one of the World of Color dining packages.

We will be there from Oct. 7 to Oct. 11. We will go to WOC on the weekend. We have no Character meal plans. My mom and I are taking 3 first time visitors ( co-worker/friend and her 2 children). I can hardly wait to see the children's faces when they find out they are going. We are staying at the Del Sol.
