October 2010 Anyone Else?

We'll be there October 21st-24th. We're going to be doing the TrickOrTreat Party on Thursday, then 230pm reservations at Carnation Cafe on Friday, 830pm reservations at Ariel's on Friday and 740pm reservations at Cafe Orleans!

Just booked the hotel....we will be in Cali on Oct 14-17th and Staying at the Super 8 (on Katella) and will be at the Park on the 15th. We only get the one day at Disney (using our GAD vouchers) so I want to make the most of the time we have. Not sure about any special meals yet. I am trying to see if I can fit one into the budget.

I would appreciate any and all advice from the experts!

Friday:
General admission park hours 8:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. with no fireworks or Fantasmic!.
You'll have to spend and extra $54 per person to attend after 7:00 p.m. for Mickey's Halloween Party and special event fireworks.

Saturday:
General admission park hours 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 a.m., with Dreams Come True fireworks and Fantasmic!.
No extra costs.

I noticed that just today. So plans are changing to Sat at the park instead. I just informed DH that we can use our passes to get into DCA instead of DLR. Now we have even more decisions to make...ugg wish we had more $$ so we could do a multi-day pass.

I'm sorry if this is mentioned before in the thread, but I asked a Disney Dining CM if restaurants will be open during the Mickey's Halloween Party events and the CM said, "no".

Hum, interesting. I'm thinking the CM was referring to table-service meals (BB, CO, CC etc.) When the party was at DCA, they had some Counter Service restaurants open. We always preferred to eat before, or bring some food in, rather than wait in the lines for food ... so it doesn't really affect me very much ... but still, I'd be very surprised if this is true ... I don't think DLR will want to turn down food revenue

I agree with Tdash. I am sure TS is going to be closed but CS will be opened.

We'll be there from Oct. 11 - 16th!!! This is our first ever BIG trip as a family. So freakin excited! DS2 has been into Mickey since barely a yr old and he's just started getting into Toy Story recently. So I've been stalking the schedule to see when TSMM will re-open (postponed our original Sept date JUST to catch TSMM!). And DH got a great deal on 5 nights at the Tropicana Inn & Suites...which is right across the street from the entrance!!! YAY!!! Also made my reservations at the Blue Bayou, Cafe Orleans and character breakfast at Plaza Inn! Pre-ordered our picnic for WOC, too! AAAAHHHH!!! I wish it was October already!!!
