October 2010 Anyone Else?

We are going in October too! We are currently planning on 10/11-10/16! It will be our son and my first time ever at DLR! He just turned 2 and loves Toy Story and Mickey Mouse! We were planning on going end of September but we found out that TMM was closed due to renovation until 10/12/10. We will be driving all the way from Seattle, WA! Long drive indeed! I have a few questions for the veterans:

1. Where can we get the best deal for 4 Day Park Hopper Passes?

2. Any great deals on hotels a few blocks away from DLR?

3. Any tips and hints for us?

We leave in 3 1/2 weeks and we still have two reservations too! Two connecting Disney view rooms at Hojo and the family suite(4 queen beds and 1 1/2 bath) at DI &S. I'm soooo torn! It's my DH and I and our 3 DD's and one of my oldest DD's friends. I'm sold on the size of the room and location at DI&S, plus it's quite a bit cheaper, but I've read such raving reviews about Hojo's. Anyone care to chime in....
Two rooms at Hojo's would be about $300 more total. I don't think we will use the pool, and once our mini van is parked it will probably stay there the whole week (I've heard bad things about DI&S parking).

I've never stayed at either. We considered DI&S for this trip but are staying at the HOJO 's cause its cheaper. For a $300 price difference I'd give DI&S a try personally.

Will you be doing the Mickey's Halloween Party in DL that night? If not then plan on heading over to DCA at 7:00 pm. I'm not sure if your GAD vouchers allow park hopping or not so plan around it.

You might think of starting at DCA with your GAD vouchers and then purchasing tickets for the party ($54 per person) ahead of time and going over there in costumes. Not sure what exactly your plans are so I'm just giving a heads up.

So....our flights kept changing and we lost a lot of time...we were suppose to be at LAX at 9am and it got changed to 2pm...that's a whole day at Disney we were missing...we tryed to plan around it but it wasn't happening so I called today to see if they would swich us to fly out on the Saturday instead of the Sunday....and they did it and they didn't charge us any fees so now we get an extra day

Is brunch better then dinner?? How long should we plan for it including traveling to and from disney. it is my daughter's birthday and we want to have a special meal and go to Disney that day. Disney is open 9am -8pm. Should we go before Disney? during?

We'll be there from Oct. 29 to Nov. 2 at the GCH. We're doing the WOC dinner package at AG on Oct. 29 and MHP on Halloween. We are looking forward to the trip! We all need a break.
