Hi guys,
Thinking of planning a surprise Halloween trip for myself and my DD. I know that someone posted ride closures for 2009 but I can't seem to find it, has anyone got a link?
Also when is the best time to book? Should I hang on for any free night offers, is that likely to happen? I was planning to go October midweek in school time so it shouldn't be too busy, I can wait to book if necessary!
Thanks :)

There is an offer on right now on the Disney site, for arrivals through September and into early October, for £100 off your hotel/tickets package price, if you book by the end of April 09.

I've used this offer before, I think its fantastic. We have usually booked by Feb or early March, and still got the £100 off (obviously though, the sooner you book, the more choice you'll have with the offers).

My sister and her family used this offer for this Halloween (ie last month) - we were there for the first midweek of Halloween season, and it was absolutely brilliant - would definitely recommend going then  .

Go have a play on the Disney site!

I agree with Elaine, i have snapped this offer up with my September booking.

Thanks Guys for that tip :thumbsup2
Does the £100 off show up in the price when you price up your package or is it subtracted off later?
Thanks again x

It shows up in the price comparison for your hotel under special offer - it should say "early booker discount" or something like that.

Thanks Elaine, I've been trying to price up on the Disney site but it keeps getting stuck and wont let me...:headache:
Looks like I'll just have to keep trying
Thanks

:surfweb: :rolleyes1 I just had a wee look - the offer says "book early and save £100" and its there for arrivals at both the Cheyenne and Santa Fe (for example) up and including Monday 5th October (which would be first Monday of Halloween season next year).

I have had loads of probs getting prices of the dlp site! It keeps crashing on me :headache:

Tinks we're obviously not as important as Elaine!!!! ;)
I'm hoping to try again tomorrow, fingers crossed,
Thanks

Hi, I managed to have a look at 7.30am this morning and it is coming up at £290 for DD and me to stay at the Cheyenne for 2 nights from Sunday 4th Oct! That is with the £100 early booking offer
BARGAIN!
Does the Halloween stuff definitely start on Monday 5th, also how busy will it be being the first day of Halloween?
Thanks (as you can probably tell I'm dying to book it hence all the questions :rotfl: )

Yey!!

I can only go on the last 2 years seasons - but both of those seasons (ie 2007 and 2008) Halloween starts from the first Saturday in October. We were there the first Monday-Wednesday of Halloween this year - it was not that busy IMO (except for afternoons in Fantasyland, but I've learned just to do Fantasyland either early in the morning or late in the evening).
Folk that were there on the Saturday and Sunday however (first weekend of Halloween) have said it was heaving though.

There are quite a few trip reports from the first week of Halloween on the trip report board - go have a read to whet your appetite!

I was there the same time as Elaine.

Monday-Wednesday were ok, resonably busy (imo) but no real queues anywhere people seemed to be more there for the decorations and shows etc, Thursday and Friday were brilliant, walk on every ride including ToT (not Crush though unfortunatly)

I was there for the first day of Halloween this year which was a Saturday and it was unbelievable. Both Parks were packed out and the shortest wait for a ride was 1 hour. It spoilt our day (which happened to be our last one) and we have agreed never to go at the start of a season again!

Speaking of which, we were looking at going in September and I've just noticed that the Snow White ride is closed for the whole of that month!! My DD is most unhappy about it. Good job we haven't actually booked yet!!

I think I heard that there were 56,000 people there on the Saturday :scared1:
