October 2009 Code Watch!!

oh man... I'm supposed to pay off my sept trip on aug 4th. Let's hope they come out sooner:wizard::wizard:

My new free dining code runs from Oct 2- Dec 17. We are going Oct 10-17 and got Pop for 4 with PH and Ins for 2197... preferred room. So excited. We have never stayed on property and are looking foward to free dining!!!

Already booked Oct. 24-Nov. 1st for AS Movies...but I'd like a code so I can upgrade to a moderate...is that even possible?? I really don't know how they work but I'm waiting to pay off my vacation to see if I can get into a mod...

My sister is already booked for end of October and she just got a PIN on Sunday. Unfortunately it is for a family of 4 (and it's just her and her DH) and it's for a value and they're booked at Poly, so she can't use it. So, you may get one - though I wouldn't want to tell you not to reschedule if you've already got September codes. I do understand that historically some sort of rate usually comes out for October (usually released mid-August). :confused3

How did the pin come to your sister- email or postcard- this would be perfect for my trip!

What was the pin for exactly?

I'm so hoping for a discount of some sort. Right now we have a fabulous $200/night total at the Poly, but my family of 5 would really benefit from a FD code or release. Of course if it does come around I'll be sad as I'm really looking forward to staying at the Poly again...but if the FD comes we will have to stay at a Mod to keep it in our price range. Can't pay rack room rates at the Poly in this economy!

FYI for all of you.
The "AP Room Only" discounts are out (at least for my time period 10/11-10/17)
Got 40%, through my TA, discount @ the GF :woohoo::woohoo:

Just booked (changed) our October 4th - 16th Fort Wilderness reservation over to the AP discount. Preferred site went from $62 a night to $52 a night. Thanks for the heads up!

How do you do this?? I have two ressies (me and MIL). Does the money paid just transfer or do I get a refund then have to repay??? HELP!

No there is no per se room transfer...Disney must have availability and only at certain resorts.....and your deposit will transfer if you get the discount.

1st .....Call Disney.
2nd ....Have them check for the AP room only discount and see IF there are any rooms in your hotel.
If yes....Disney will book a room and cancel your original ressie..
If not...either you may change to a resort that is giving the discount or
if you dont want to change your out of luck.

so the AP discount is 40%?? How much are AP's ?

They seem to be about 43% off the room rack rate. Obviously, this means bigger savings for the deluxe resorts, so you're more likely to come out ahead that way. The adult APs are $500, but ticket prices are expected to go up soon.

Do you have to purchase the AP before you book?

No, you don't have to have an AP to book. You just need one at check in.

I love the DIS !!!!! :lovestruc
After everyone I know (except me) getting a free dining pin code we now have free dining for week of October 10 at POR.:banana:

Early wakeup this a.m. to check the DIS - call to WDW around 6:30 CST - saved my family of 5 $910, sister's family of 4 $603 and my parents around $500. Just checked my e-mail, the WDW site and Disney Visa site and still no mention of a code whatsoever. DH now supports my DIS addiction !!!
