October 2009 Code Watch!!

I was going in Oct but changed our dates to get free dining. Now I am looking for a code again for Oct for a friend of mine. My guess is that they will come out in Aug or Sept, but maybe they will come out sooner. :goodvibes

Your timeframe is on the money. That's when they usually come out !! :thumbsup2

We were at WDW Oct 31 - Nov 5 last year and at that time there was a general public 40% discount. We're going again this Oct and hoping for the same.

Those are dates are very close to our dates for this year (10/30-11/4). Right now I have a AAA discount at CSR. I would love to be able to get 40%.....when did that code come out last year?

I get on here everyday just watching for codes..and oh my word..it just builds the excitement doesn't it? Someone asked me why Disney for my 25th?...and I laughed and said "Is there anything else?"..

Still lovin' it and waiting for those codes!

CBR - Oct 6-12th....Whoo Hoo!:yay::yay::yay:

After much discussion, we've decided on October 23 - 31st. So I'll be watching for a code, too. :cool1:

I'm hoping to find a code for the Oct 29-Nov 2. Quick trip to celebrate the first (of several) 49th birthday! I refuse to grow up!!

I have a friend visiting from Australia in October and will be taking her for her very first Disney vacation Oct 24th - 30th. I've been a DVC member for the past several years (recently sold my contract) so its been awhile since I've book any sort of package or discount deal. I'm really hoping for a great room discount (AP/Disney Visa/General Public) or Free Dining. Being her first and likely only trip to Disney World, I want her to experience it all.

I plan to book a courtyard room at the Wilderness Lodge. Should I go ahead and book a regular package now? If a discount comes out, can they add it to my existing reservation? Or will I need to cancel and rebook?

Yes, you can go ahead and book and if a code comes out they'll apply it to your existing reservation IF they have that discount available at that resort. They only allow so many rooms for certain resorts for discounts, so you want to make sure to hop on any code that comes out as soon as you are aware of it.

I just booked airfare for 10/14-21. I've never booked airfare without a room reservation before, eek. I'm not paying rack rate though, so I might as well wait and see what Disney tosses our way... hopefully there's something or I'll be scrambling to make back up plans. :rotfl:

Just booked SW airfare for $69 each way for family of 6!!!!! for our Oct. trip. :cheer2: Until this past week, we weren't even going to disney this year, but you know how that goes. You "look" into things, see if we can do it, and before you know it a few days later you're booked on an airline :cheer2: and a vacation package with free dining. :woohoo:

Aw heck, I chickened out. It was making me nervous, when I checked MouseSavers I noticed that there were only package discounts for my dates last year... so I changed my plane tickets. Southwest is an enabler when it comes to people like me who rearrange their plans on a regular basis, LOL.

So now we're booked for 9/30 - 10/7 and can get free dining unless something better comes along. I feel safe now. :rotfl:

I am hoping for a 3 night discount from Oct 14-17. The first 4 nights we are renting a BWV. Come on discount!

I forget from previous years, when do Oct discounts come out (if there are any)? Is it August?

I think for 2007 the Disney Visa one was released in August and then the one that was open to the public didn't come out until September! :confused3

So they release room only discounts to visa holders first? This is good to know if they do, because I just got one!! :rotfl2:

The discount came out first for the card holders in 2007 and there were a couple of different codes...discounts for room only, package, package w/ dining and I think package w/ deluxe dining were available if memory serves....

yippppeeeeee! I got a pin!!! woohooo!!! Got to switch back to the dates I really wanted, too. Oct 24-11/1!!! Weeehooo!
