October 2008 code watch

Hoping for a code.... rumored that today will be the day. Let's keep our fingers crossed!

I called Disney and asked specifically about a Disney Visa code. There aren't any. Guess today wasn't the day!

No CM will tell you there's a code until the moment it's released. And it's possible it gets released either later today, later this week, next week, or non at all.

Hi! Called this morning at 7:45am EST and asked if there were any AP rates or Disney Visa rates for my trip dates (Oct. 25-Nov. 2nd) and she said there were only discounts available up to 9/27.

Still keeping my fingers crossed!

For what it's worth... I called last night to see if by some miracle there was a pin code associated with my name, and to ask about other discounts for my upcoming trip, particularly AP codes, along with some other questions about staggered arrivals for the trip. (We are booked at the WL from 10/25 - 11/2.) Sadly, no pin code, and no AP discounts yet (which of course, I knew, but I was fishing). Trying to be coy, I said something like "I guess there's no way of knowing when the codes will be out, other than to call you guys back every day or so," and the nice young man who was helping me said "I suggest calling back around the middle of the week."

So hopefully, that means that he expects the codes to be out Wed. or Thurs., as folks here have been predicting.

Right now we are booked at the BWI, but I would love a AP Code or discount to move to the GF or Poly!

I call Disney at 407-W-DISNEY.

I don't have a Disney Visa, so I just call the regular Disney Reservations Center number: (407) W-DISNEY.

I call (407) W-DISNEY. Just spoke to them and the young lady suggested I call back by the end of the week..... I hope this was a hint about when the codes will be released.

My TA emailed me this morning...and said she had called about the Disney Visa code to apply to my ressie...she was told it would be out Thursday!

the icon says scared but it looks similar to my face right now- the anticipation of finding a deal that makes another trip possible when we TOTALLY were not planning one is just over the top right now

I never thought I would be a junkie to anything but here I am reading post after post hoping for the big pay off

Just wanted to thank everyone for all their information about discounts. I for the most part am a lurker on the boards and I have found lots of wonderful tips for our first ever family trip to Disney. We too are waiting for some sort of something. I am going to be happy with whatever we get. We are going Oct 4-11. Staying at All Star Movies. I would love to have the cash back to buy more when I am there!!!!

I am new to this and I want to get this right. If we call Disney later in the week we could get a discount on our room? I am going Oct 29- nov3 and would love to get a discount. I'm staying at Coronado Springs Resort and would love to save some money.

Watch this thread to get info on when the code comes out and what dates it covers. You need the code when you call in. It might not be available for everyone's dates.
