Family of 3: DH, DD (13), and myself. This will be our 4th trip together. Planning is so much part of the fun, isn't it? Only have 4days, 3nights. Here is what I think so far:
Arrive bright and early Tuesday morning October 11. Check in at POFQ, our first time at this resort. Dh was here on business a few months ago and loved it.
Epcot in the morning, do Soaring for sure. Late lunch.... where?
Back to resort for Pool time and rest.
Tuesday evening, MNSSHP! What time should we get there? This is a first for us! Dinner.... LTT, CP, Counter service? Maybe just snack if we had a big lunch?
Wednesday, sleep in a bit, breakfast at resort. Then MGM. Got to ride RnR, & see Lights, Motors, Action! Lunch?
Wed evening, Epcot and Illuminations. Dinner?
Thursday. Breakfast at Boma, day at AK. Head over to MGM for Fantasmic, maybe do the dinner package? Or forget about FAntasmic, maybe a fabulous dinner at a resort?
Friday, breakfast at Cape May (DD wants to see Chip and Dale). Friday we leave open to do whatever we want to. Friday afternoon we say goodbye.
How does this sound? I'd appreciate any comments, suggestions!

just some thoughts... will you be relying on disney transport or will you have your own car? if you are relying on disney transport, i think that the meals at other resorts will be a bit cumbersome and eat a lot of time... i.e. breakfast at boma will mean getting up mighty early if you want to do AK all day and the evening at MGM, kwim?

if i were to revamp it a bit, i'd do something like this:

Tuesday morning October 11. Check in at POFQ, Epcot in the morning, late lunch at le cellier, Pool/rest, MNSSHP! ice cream for dinner!

Wednesday, sleep in a bit, breakfast at resort. Then MGM. Got to ride RnR, & see Lights, Motors, Action! Lunch at ABC Commissary; fantasmic dinner package at H&V (why switch parks mid-day? it takes a lot of time... better to find a place to rest/relax/chill out in the park you are in, kwim?)

Thursday. Breakfast at Donalds, day at AK. Dinner & Illuminations @ Epcot

Friday, breakfast at 'Ohana (Chip and Dale are there). MK to hit your faves as you say good-bye!

whattya think? :flower:

I'd add some more MK time- MNSSHP is great, but not all rides are open, and you will be spending lots of time doing the special activities, parade, etc. Maybe your last day- head to MK for a character b'fast early (maybe CP), then MK until time to go.

I truely LOVE Boma's for breakfast. It will take time to use the busses though. I would say just take a cab like we did. I think it cost around $7-$10. Got there in minutes. Call the front desk and they be sure you have one waiting.

If you are at MGM on THurs and decide to not do Fantasmic you could always eat at the Swan/Dolphin/Yacht club/Beach club/ or Boardwalk. It is a quick walk to any of them. You could also take the boat from MGM to Epcot and have a another great meal in the World Showcase! Just some thoughts to maximize your time!

i agree w/the lack of MK time... and would have recommended CP for breakfast but the OP said dd wanted to see chip/dale, hence the 'ohana suggestion :flower: perhaps skip some of the rest time on that first afternoon and hit mk just after lunch before the rides close for the party...

OH, yeah!! You've got to visit Chip & Dale- I loved Chip & Dale at 'Ohana. I change my recommendation- do what gigi1313 says! :teeth:

I would suggest looking at the thread stuck to the top of this board in regards to MNSSHP. It has tons of great info for that event.

You'll see a lot of Chip & Dale too. I swear everytime you turn around they're there. I've been thinking of booking the Cape May breakfast for our upcoming trip. We'll be staying at the Swan and it would be so conveinent.

If you haven't seen Fantasmic, then I'd make it a point to do so. It is truly spectacular.

Thanks! Great suggestions. Not sure I want to spend a whole day at MGM but maybe with a late start it would be okay. I'll let you know how it works out! I can't wait to go, only 115 more days.... :earsgirl:
