Monday 6th October Day 3
First day up early as always! Today we are off to Animal Kingdom to Donalds Breakfastaurus, a first day tradition. It was Early Magic Hour and our PS was for 8.10am. We set out to get the bus and arrived at about 8am just as the park was opening for Resort guests. We walked around to Dinoland and checked in for our breakfast. As we had one of the first PSs it was nice and quiet in the restaurant. We saw Pluto, Donald, Mickey and Goofy they came around and played up to us. Our server tried the tomato sauce trick, but they tried that on me last year so I wasnt to be fooled
After breakfast we headed out to Kilimanjano Safari, it was nice and early so I was hoping that the animals would be out and about. They were we even saw the new baby elephant. I love the safari and playing along with the story.
We then headed over to Its Tough to be a Bug another great, DH tries not to affected by the effects here. Primeaval Whirl was up next, I know people dont like this ride much but I love being flung about LOL. Our little game kept us occupied in the 10 minute queue. I dont like the games here in Dinoland and I find it very loud. DH choice next Dinosaur I wouldnt sit on the edge of the row only in the middle and I made the appropriate face for the photo opportunity.
By now it was 1pm, and we decided to leave the park. On the way out there is a Lion King float as the film being released, Timon and Rafiki were out for Photo Ops, so of course I got in queue.
We went back to the Boardwalk and spent the afternoon at Luna Pool, we filled up our re-fillable mugs and it was quiet as I expect a lot of families were taking advantage of the Storm-a-long Bay option. We spent a little time in the hot tub too.
Back to the room and showered and changed then we strolled over to EPCOT, I love being able to walk to EPCOT. As we walked through International Gateway we decided to start at France and walk around the world. They were some guys doing amazing tricks in France with chairs. I also met Beauty and the Beast, it was my first time meeting the Beast and I was quite shy, they have a guy taking photos there that you can buy we took one with our camera as well. As we passed in to Japan there were the drummers I just love that sound. I tried a Rainbow Kaki-Gori yum, yum. We walked around to the photo station and my Beast photo wasnt ready. They hold these photos on computer for 4 days so we could call back again to see them. We stopped off at the pin station and I brought some Halloween Stitch pins, there are so many pins I need.
We managed to catch Off Kilter its the first time we have seen them and they were very good. Dinner was in England tonight I was hoping for a patio table and be able to watch Illuminations but it wasnt to be as we were seated inside the pub. DH had Sausage and Mash and I had Vegetable Curry. Alan enjoyed his, mine was OK but not the curry as we know it. We got a good spot for Illuminations between France and UK, this is a good show.
We headed back to the bakery to collect the cake. It wasnt there .I had to put a date in for collection and I wrote 06/10/03 the English way I should have put 10/06/03. Consequently they hadnt made the cake. I did ask them why they hadnt called our room to check as I would hardly request a cake for the 10th June 2003 as the date had already passed. They apologised and advised the cake would be ready tomorrow. We went back to the room and managed to catch an episode of my favourite show CSI Miami.
