Thanks for the quick replys. Did some more seaching, and it looks like you have to phone of fax, like PP said. I also read that day passes are no longer offered on board so if you only want a day or two, you have to prebook. So, I too, will be calling tomorrow. I agree, that one or two days will be more than enough time with so much to do on the ship. Thanks again. 75 DAYS!

Just cut and pasted this from another thread. Looks like you need to call DCL for the day passes..... Which I will be doing tomorrow.

The Rainforest Daily pass is $15 + $1 Booking fee by phoning or Faxing. =$16. I would just buy the Day passes as I don't see you using it everyday. There is not loads to do in there for every Day.

I'm guessing it's a call or fax only thing then. When I log in I can get a menu of all of the spa options and salon options and rainforest is not an option (day only or weeklong).

However, I will add that the pdf form posted is also the form you use to add onboard credit ahead of time- if you are adding $16 OBC for a rainforest day I would be at the spa on the first day still to book it.

Hey Kelly,

Can you add me too? We're FB friends too. I just changed my pic though- it's beer filled flip flops now.

Thanks,

Lori

Just discovered this thread. My DGF (though soon to be DF as I am proposing on the ship) and I will be in Room #10556.

So this is obviously a surprise? She won't find this site? Many would love to witness this. Threads pop up now and then about how DCL assists in making the moment as unique as you wish.

Some are very private proposals while others are done on stage in front of hundreds:scared1:

Wow, look at this! What a great idea - a forum for a specific cruise! Hopefull you all can help me and my first-time cruise family out a bit.

My wife and I will be cruising with our 2 yr old son. We're a little apprehensive, tbh. We're not sure what, if any, excursions we can do with our son. He has the attention span of, well, a two year old :)

We've already signed him up for daycare so we can have some time to ourselves - we're planning to go St. Maarten on our own...maybe even St. Thomas.

We're logged on at midnight last night and were saddened to see that Palo Brunch is sold out as well as Palo Dinner and Remy dinner for any nights other than departure and pirate party. Perhaps you experienced cruisers can help me out with this - will there be a possibility that mommy and daddy can get into, at least, Palo brunch?

Also, what are you other parents of toddlers ( <3 yrs ) doing for excurions?

Oh yeah, and we're cat 4b on deck 8, main seating

Hi! While I can't answer any of your questions, I wanted to say hi and welcome to the group. I'm sure some of the more seasoned cruisers will be along later with more info.

Hi neighbor! We're in the cabin next door-10558. And congrats by the way! Can't wait to hear the story!

Welcome aboard! When you get on the ship you can try to get Palo brunch, but you'd probably have an easier time trying to get dinner since there's more opportunity. There's also a Remy brunch now-but it's only on Thursday and can only be booked once aboard.

Yes, this is a surprise. She isn't really a "blog/boards" type of person, so no way will she see this.

The first time we went on a Disney Cruise was last year and I kept it a secret from her until we showed up at the port (she thought we were staying at a hotel) and she was still in shock when they announced our name coming on the ship. The CMs had a bit of fun with that, and she always talked about how she enjoyed that moment. So I thought this time I'd propose just as they announce our name this time (advanced apologies to anyone behind us).

PS...we are booked for the Palo Brunch on Monday

PPS....Our names are Rebecca and Scott

Just for the record, I DID not need help with the FE. I already had a master list ready, and I have done this several times. There is a great way that I do the FE when it has to be split up. It makes it fair and keeps it very equally distribute.

The issue is simply a couple of folks want the list sooner than the 5th. That was the only issue. I still contend that it is, and will be better to do it all at the same time. This is what I have said all along.

Hi back everyone!

Sorry it took so long to reply! I didn't get the email notice on this and I am NOT good at searching for things. My sister was having a meltdown for me to reply and get us added!

SO without further adieu....we are three ladies sailing!
1. Kris, or dizy4disney, my sister, celebrating her 50th Birthday. She can kick, she can stretch, she can kick, cause she is 50! Years Old!!! She is married, has three grown boys and loving loving them from a distance :)
2. Becca, Myself, 46, married, with a daughter 19 who just completed the Disney College program Spring 2012, and a 16 yr old son, who is the reason I need a vacation (good boy who just never sits down)
3 Jan, 47, and a Best friend forever. Not married, no kids, probably due to knowing my sister and I!
Jan has never been to a Disney ANYTHING. We are so excited to bring her into our love and lifetime obsession. OHHHH the fun we will have with her on this cruise. I have cruised but never Disney, and my sister has never even seen a cruise ship!

We are in cabin 7042, late dining, and are making our final reservations on the 6th with the rest of the newbies. We are not doing the FE only because it is just too much for us!

We are hoping for Palo brunch and dinner, and a few spa treatments. We have no clue what dates we should do these things at all!

We are totally overwhelmed and freaked out about shore excursions. We aren't really shoppers, or worried about needing to do too much sightseeing. We are wanting a fun, grown up(not nude tho!) relaxing beach trip....which island and excursion can someone recommend? Also what days do you do your ship spa things?

Truly the ship and castaway cay are our focus, and every single lounge on the ship( we love Jesus but we drink a little). Would love to find a nice handsome Disneyophile for our friend so we can continue our Disney trips for many birthdays to come :)

Hi, Ladies, Welcome Aboard!!! Great to have more ladies about our ages sailing. It's time to do a happy dance:cool1:!

Don't be overwhelm,; we are all here to help you all out. So, any questions you may, simple ask away.

Again, Welcome.

When do first time cruisers book?

DCL holds many reservations back and you can try and get one when you board the ship. Also check back several times between now and the cruise as often people change and/or cancel.

We didn't do Palo until our 4th cruise and we actually never missed it. So don't let it get you down if you don't get it.

First time cruisers may book at the 75 day mark, which should be anytime now. That is also the last to to cancel without penalty.

We had to have the passport numbers.

For the check-in process, you can skip through the first 3 or 4 steps to get to the port arrival time, then go back afterward to fill the important stuff, like passport numbers.

I can't recall exactly, but I don't think you HAVE to complete checking before booking other things. In fact, if I recall correctly, you can book excursions and extras at midnight eastern, and then do the check in a couple hours later. I know they're separated by a couple of hours, I just can't remember which is first.

As far as the whole passport thing goes, you can't skip a step to do the port check-in time, I tried. But you can circumvent it. What I did was enter the info as if we didn't have passports (my mom's is still pending) and then I was able to move on to the next step. Hope that helps.

:cool1: So excited with how well check-in went! Received 11:30 PAT :cheer2: Was able to get the 4-in-1 Castaway Cay excursion as well as Magen's Bay @ St. Thomas. We are doing the Random Wind excursion @ St. Maarten on our own. I was able to book Palo dinner, but it's on Pirate night so I may see what I can snag when I get onboard OR 3 days out when people start canceling, I guess I'll just see how that all plays out. It really feels like everything is official now! Let the countdown begin!

Welcome to all the new people! I'm a first timer myself so I don't have any words of wisdom :confused3 but I can say there are several peeps here that will be a ton of help!

Well folks, we are closer and closer to our sail date and I simply on pins and needles, I can't WAIT!!!

So, for our Disney fix, my husband and I went to Disneyland and met up with some friends of his and their two teen-aged kids. Well, my husband and I arrived at 7:30am and had time to take pictures with both Minnie and Mickey before the rope drop at 8:00am.

The my husband went off to Indiana Jones for fast passes while I headed to Star Tours. When my husband joined me, we did Star Tours, Buzz Lightyear and then Star Tours again. For some reason, I did NOT want to do Space Mountain, so we skipped that.

By then his friends had joined us. Then we took the train from Tomorrowland over to New Orleans Square. We did the Haunted Mansion, had to put off the POTC because it was down, and instead headed over and rode Big Thunder Mountain.

After that, we went to Fantasyland and rode the Storybook Canal Boats and did It's a Small World.

Then it was off to Adventureland where we rode the Jungle Cruise, Indiana Jones and stepped onto the POTC at 12:00 noon. That was a total of NINE rides by NOON!!! That was fantastic!! We had a very leisurely lunch, went to Adventureland one last time to see the Tiki Room, rode the train around the park a couple of times, watched the parade and participated in the flag retreat. That was the perfect end to a really great day!!!

I just checked and the book date for First-timers is TODAY!!! I hope all of you first-timers were able to book what you wanted to book, with the exception of Palo Brunch.

Hey, is anyone doing Remy?
