Have been off the board for a few weeks. Have been working my part time retirement job as a guide at our local Fishway Way viewing window. I will be there until the end of June. 6 or 8 weeks is enough.
Just got an E-Mail today thats Trans Air has changed our flights again for 10/18. It end up we have a 5 Hr layover in Ny before we continue on to Orlando I guess we will have to do something about that.

Call them right away and tell them this layover doesn't work for you plans and what other options, including other connections are available. Don't wait as the sooner you call the better chance you can get it changed.

Been too crazy here too. My sister is in from Ca. So we spent the week end in a condo at the beach. Now we are headed to Texas for the week end to see our oldest. Not looking forward to 12 hours in the car..

It's more like 4 1/2 hrs in Baltimore! The real change is that we're leaving Portland 1/2 hour earlier and arriving in Orlando 45 minutes later than when we booked. Not a huge deal in the big scheme of things.

Speaking of flights. I got a great deal down to MCO from DCA with miles with JetBlue leaving on Friday 10/19. I should have known it would be made up on the return. I'm struggling to find a similiar deal returning Sunday 10/28. For one week those flights were $92, and now I'm pissed I didn't book them because now they are $146 and up. The flights Sat and all around are $90, but that Sunday evening flight I suppose is always pricy. We normally have flexibility and always fly midweek when it is less $. But the kids are going to be out of school and we need to get back for Monday school. I know the Sat flights ironically are still $90, but we would love to have the time @ Grandma's to visit and repack for airline mode. Is it worth $50 X 4 people extra to wait till Sunday to return to DC? Possibly. Only 22 seats are shown sold on an aircraft that holds 150 yet as soon as the first 4 seats were assigned the price went up to $126, and never looked back. Anyway watch out for those Sunday returns, they can hurt. If you see a deal book it. Not sure now what to do. FWIW the flights @ $ 90 were about 6400 points, now @ 146 - 156 they want over 10,000 points. Well at least now I have the time to earn more points towards those flights. Of course I know time is my enemy though related to $ or points.

Thanks for letting me vent. I feel better now, even though I'm an idiot for not somehow booking my return flights when available for $92. I believe I'm going to play the wait game now and hope a sale, that somehow will be inclusive of a Sunday.

I think mentioned in my last post that we were flying out of Maine on Air Tran. The price was fine for a round trip for Nancy and me but after getting our fourth sched change since we bought them and a 4 hour layover in Baltermore we called canclled got our full refund.We then found a great flight with Delta with only a 50 min layover in Atlanta and gettin into Orlando at 12:15 pm instead of 2:45. Thats leaving Maine at 7:00am. And we got our tickets for the same price

I forget where you are in NVA. Have you checked the rates in and out of Richmond? We are usually about $40 cheaper than DCA with Jet Blue for some reason. $200 savings makes the drive worth it in my opinion to get that Sunday flight.

I also liked Eastern Caribbean Dreams, Magic and Wonder on the Disney Fantasy by glenpreece on1/24/2012. In fact, I think I like this one better .

The sooner the better for those crafty Dissers out there, and those with really full schedules.

I probably won't be doing anything special with the name, but you never know. We aren't participating in the FE this time, but will probably do something for the other 3 couples we'll be traveling with.

We had been booked for 09/22/12, and I keep an eye on what's happening with their thread. Wow! They just had their logo posted by the talented woman who designed it for them with the name they chose incorporated. I sure wish I had skills like Neener.

Must be hard to choose with so...many good ideas., but I'm sure it will be worth the wait.

This being my first cruise & all, not knowing how things typically work, is it common to have such a long name? It just seems like it would be really hard to fit that type of name in a logo and/or anything else we might want to do with it.
